    I have said it before but I think Kirkland stuff is the best value on the market. And it's mainly because they don't do fittings, sponsor pros, have buses that travel with the pros, or gove away thousands of sets for reviews.. and all the other expenses the big named brands have. Those expenses are related in the prices we pay for the top brand stuff, they have to recoup all that expense and mark up their pirces

    • @ChiefCowpie

      I’m curious about what actual manufacturing costs of golf clubs are? Certainly the big part of their cost is what they can be sold for after the hype.

    • @danhall3200
      @danhall3200 Před měsícem +4

      @ChiefCowpie I saw an article by someone a while ago, called golf spy, or my golf spy. I can't remember. I have no idea how accurate they were and sure its now out of date, but. They broke down the cost of a $500 driver into its raw materials and manufacturing. it worked out to around $100 total. This didn't account for carbon fibre additions, shipping, advertising or anything else. Just the cost of the processed raw materials, everything from head to grip, and how much the actual $500 dollar driver in question would have cost to make. Retail outlets would then pay a mark up to the manufacturer, which they then mark up again to sell to us.

    -the sole definitely needed some grinding to allow more versatility and play of bounce. I’m glad Gen 2 has addressed this.
    -the grip looked misaligned so I’m hoping they fixed that too

    Its good to see that companies can put out wedges at lower prices without losing performance, i play taylor made mill grind and have gone down to 2 wedges a 54 and 58 as the cost of them are insane, I took my set into gap then just buy 2 as the mg are £189 each if i can get a deal. Replacing them once or sometimes even twice a year adds up. Golfers know Kirkland makes great clubs and aren’t gimmicks. If you are worried what people will think when seeing them in your bag don’t be. There new irons are fantastic. I have one vokey and 2 taylormade m grind 3s. I much prefer the feel of the TM as they feel softer than the Vokey, i think the vokeys are too clicky, so I'm thinking about selling on and getting another tm. If the grooves were wearing out on all 3, I'd definitely consider the Kirklands

    Kirkland golf clubs prove time and time again that it’s not always the technology, but the story that you pay for. Performance, feel, looks, etc all come down to preference. But at the end of the day paying 600 dollars or 200 dollars on a new driver won’t make you play any better😂 might have to consider Kirkland irons for my new set. Looking to upgrade soon

    I liked the previous Costco wedges, but still thought they could look better. But these new ones are gorgeous, I’d black out the red 👌🏼 I wonder if you could blast them to a raw finish 👀

    Could be wrong but it looks like they added 2 degrees of bounce on the 60. I think the old models had 8 degrees and these have 10, good change imo

    These are nice. My question is how important is wedge gapping? I have 49-54-59 now and they are fine. If I were in the market could I just get 52-56-60 without testing? is that that much difference?
