It's almost the second-half that that this drama serial has entered but still one can't really interpret what Mahir actually wants from this relationship of him and Mehrunnisa.Hats off to Bilal Abbas for outstanding portrayal of emotions.
Oh my she is 10-15 years older than he is - Quite the boundary breaker for this Pakistani drama - I liked the part where they eased the tension by reminding each other that she was also married to some1 who was mistaken for her father. Can't wait for Bilal to set things right at the office & for her to find out what her son in law has actually been up2. Wouldn't be a bad idea for Bilal to give his chubby ol' friend a job there too. This is such a cute drama with such a fitting cast.

It's interesting that everyone's feeling sorry for Mahir after Mehru said she doesn't and won't trust him blindly. But Mahir doesn't love Mehru either and confirmed his intentions in the car when he murmured to himself: "I, too, want to become an owner, without making you (Mehru) a habit." This was after shopping and before Nayara's dinner. He made the first shady comment in this episode. Did everyone miss that?
Plus he only proposed to Mehru after his friend planted the idea in his head that he'd inherit her wealth. I guess because we're all rooting for a stereotype-breaking romance between a younger man and older woman, we're glossing over what would be red flags in any relationship.
The script is probably going to lead Mahir to initially use Mehru but then 'fall in love' with her in the process.
I think he is also worried about falling for her so could be seen in that way as well. I cannot make her a habit, as I want to be a owner.

Mahir didn't have to take Mehru's dialogue so personally. It wasn't offensive because Mehru is completely justified in not trusting him 100 percent so early in the marriage. She gave the example of her own father and her first husband and how he too earned the trust. Mahir should've taken this as his cue to earn Mehru's trust. God knows what's on his mind now.
