    It’s refreshing to hear some respect put on Usyk’s name, especially from someone who knows the sport. Usyk’s resumé is one of the finest in the history of boxing. In fact, I can’t think of another that boasts .. World Amateur Gold, Olympic Gold, Undisputed World Cruiserweight and IBF, WBO, WBA World Heavyweight Champion … if Usyk wins May 18th his resumé will be the GOAT

    • @ANationalAcrobat-qj2dl
      @ANationalAcrobat-qj2dl Před 26 dny

      Sadly this era of HWs is too weak for any champion to be seen as the GOAT. Usyk may well be, but he doesn't have the Foremans, Alis, Lennoxs, Fraziers etc as opponents to PROVE he is the GOAT. In my opinion if Fury, AJ et al had just so happened to have been active during the Lennox Lewis era then they would all have been 3rd tier fighters at best.

      @@ANationalAcrobat-qj2dl are you still waiting? … you really don’t understand the meaning of the word ‘resumé’ ☺️ Lennox didn’t win world Amateur gold, neither was he a unified & undisputed World champion in two weight groups. Furthermore, all the fighters you’ve listed have long since retired before Usyk’s era so he can’t fight them can he. Also, Lennox was knocked out cold by Oliver McCall & Hassim Rahman in his prime. That’s a very real scenario. If Usyk starts really putting it on Fury, Fury might want out via DQ to deny Usyk a clean victory. Repeated low blows would be the foul of choice to then use the DDD narrative

    I know Usyk will win, but I do not trust the judges because Turki has publicly stated his favorite boxer is Fury, and that he plans to have him for many more fights, including fighting AJ. We all know how corrupt boxing is, it's not actually a sport but more like a business. I hope I'm wrong, and judges and the referee are impartial, but I think Usyk needs to win enfatically.

    If it’s a fair fight I think Usyk will win handily with maybe a little drama in the middle rounds, if it’s unfair it’s gona be a dirty rotten fight.

    what i would do based on the chisora fight (and based on the way fury fights): i would spar with guys who clutch and grab non stop. i'd work on ways to get out of clutching. usyk does not get tired or slow down like other heavyweights, so he's going to face a lot of clutching and grabbing when opponents get gassed. that was his weakness in the chisora fight; dealing with questionable bullshit, and tactics that challenge the ref to intervene. i assume that usyk's team is smart enough to think of that.
