The KV-1E is one of the most powerful tanks in War Thunder. That's why I decided to play it after releasing a tide of SAV 20.12.48 with my previous video.
The SAV 20.12.48 has been running riot in droves and has pretty much made the 2.7-4.7 bracket unplayable. So, I decided to put them back in their place with one of the OG Premium Thumpers the KV-1E.
The KV-1E has just enough armour to stop the 120mm taking it out. That doesn't make us immune so we're going to have to play it 'just' right to get some revenge.
This is probably the most frags per minute I've ever uploaded so I hope you enjoy watching the SAV Suffer!

Having bought the SAV at your recommendation and used it for some truly vile evils? Yeah we all deserve it lol, SAV is such a disgustingly busted vehicle its way too powerful if it can get me 6 kills in 7 seconds while I’m half asleep and barely trying

ah you sneaky bastard odd i saw your video and i thought what have you done!!! then i proceeded to get absolutely destroyed by 4 sav's in the same game and i thought, russian heavies exist then i proceeded to destroy 5 sav's in another game

The amount of savs I've witnessed in game is mental😢. Never seen such an insanely rapid increase like this from one bloody yt video.

It's not from the video. SAV is amazing and it was fairly cheap. People would buy it regardless of OddBawZ's video.

The t14 also does this job perfectly, it may not have as much raw armor but its insane if you angle
It feels so good hearing the rounds bounce off harmlessly while aiming down the barrel.
It has glaring weak spots, no? Especially at that BR.

Hell I've been playing for four years, own the T-14 and i still cant remember where the spots are off the top of my head.

Who knows, maybe that's why there are only two shown matches; if Oddbawz was uptiered a lot.
I mean both games were 4.7. either way the KV1E shouldn't be seeing 3.0
youtubers usually cut out the boring bad ghames they had and only show the fun and interesting games

Remember, there are always more people uptiered than downtiered, so the matchmaker prefers to downtier whichever BRs are being played less and uptier the BRs with dozens of people queueing for them. This is why the most popular/common BRs get more uptiers than you might expect from the raw probability.

good thing is most sav players are absolutely horrible, so they are probably not gonna shoot your turret face.
same goes with most of the kvs/shermans/churchills, can be penned at mailslot/turret face/mgport, but most sav players will just die.
The KV-1 (ZIS-5) is the ultimate SAV vermin hunter. Killed 4 of them out of 6 kills in a single match yesterday! They are scuddling around like rats everywhere! :D
This SAV invasion has been absolutely wonderful for down tiers in the Churchill Crocodile, you should definitely do a video on the croc next, the flamethrower is so much fun

Bought SAV. Routinely get into games with 8-10 SAVs. Its glorious, the chats are wild.
Congrats on the 250K, I think the SAV was my first ever WT purchase, but I died many a time to the KV1's, you can actually over pressure frontally but it is really trolly, not sure about the KV-1E though.
yeah it was my first premium too. bought it for something like 1k ge. then I got the 2s38 on 50% sale lol

you can penetrate the driver hatch with the SAV. Ofcourse you need to be at a close distance (atleast 100m ) where the thickness of the KV1 UFP doesn't go over the 100 mm distance
If these's one vehicle that I really want in the Swedish tech tree is the Landsverk L-180. Because most people didn't do the crafting event that would give you the Pansarbil m/40, so here's a perfect way to put a low-tier armored car into the tree.
Plus, Britain could get one too, as Ireland used 8 of them from 1939 all the way to the 1980s.
Unfortunately, I dont think they could do anything to make it useable in the BR it's would be in..

Events where you just complete challenges and get a coupon are fine, because I don't have to learn a bunch of conversion rates for meaningless """items""" that go from 1000 stupid purple gears or burnt tissues to 100 wet cardboard boxes that need to be combined with 10 drunk cats to make the broken pieces for a boat.

Ikr, I was trying to play 5.7 france to help flesh out that lineup but i moved to 4.0 after having to fight tiger 2 h's, after three games i moved back to 5.7 LMAO. It feels like literally half the enemy team is in sav's, and it was always Germany and sweden vs everyone

same... 3.7 was my all-time favorite BR for a whiiiile, but then i showed up with a newer player trying to get them to the "good BR" and holy hell the SAVs murdered us lol
Every game I played, there were at least 3 SAVs, and that was the ONLY thing I would die to.
you and spookston are the only War thunder creators i normally watch (since Phly doesnt upload regularly now) so getting info on whenever rare tanks are available to be bought or there's an event on war thunder going on it's really helpful, you wont believe the amount of people that misses this kind of events since it's something you arent being told up front while opening the game, so even tho everyone's suffering bcuz of it, im more thank thankful for not missing the opportunity to buy it while we can!
yeah this sort of thing that's only out for a few days, you have to pay attention or you'll miss it. But maybe that's the point, I doubt Gaijin expected this to happen with the SAV lol

Makes complete sense
KV1E came in production, one year after the KV1 L11, and this thing served 1940-41 possibly 1942, and the Sherman jumbo, man come on, came out in 1943, and was only used much in 1944-45, time issues, is what doesn't make sense, little time issue...

I’ve been playing the KV1E since you posted your SAV video. It’s been glorious bouncing all the shots and getting easy 10-15 kill games. The original OP tank of the tier
Thanks man. I've been using this opportunity to spade some of the tanks I despise playing in normal conditions. The Churchills. They've gone from the tanks I hate the most at their BRs to my favorites at the moment because of SAVs lol. I've been getting like 12 kills each time I spawn with Churchills, Ystervark, Crusader AAs and Concept 3s. I'll probably have PTSD from the things I'm forced to do in the Winter 2024 SAV Genocide of the SAVpocalypse.

I will admit after seeing that battle where your KV-1E had bushes all over it, I was reminded how much that thing (and the KV-1B that doesn't have German guns shooting at it) truly urk me on so many levels..

that would be my experience too if i hadn’t been getting constant uptiers with my 3.7 swedish lineup 😭 i have not had a single 3.0 or 2.7 game since buying the SAV

@@dehydratedwater90very true my friend. This is common for Sweden 90% are full uptiers. If you ever do get a full down tier, your SAV will easily get 10-12.

When I saw your SAV video I knew everyone would be playing the SAV, and I was right to think that because yesterday I saw at least two dozen SAVs thoughout the several rounds I played.

Hillariously I picked up the save the minute it went on sale. Figure when I start sweden it will be handy. this lovely little villian arc though is awesome. you have tons of influence on the player base. weilding it sneakily could be wonderful and a hillarious way to affect things. every now and then I would love to see something like this.

I somehow got 14 kills in an Air Arcade match my whole lineup was all 2.3 and there were a few 3.7s on enemy team. Matchmaking is so busted if I make a lineup for 3.3 or 3.7 I can't remember the last non-uptier match I played. I just made a Ground RB lineup with the first KV-1 and the 2 T-34s beside it at 4.0 but didn't even try. I just bailed but will probably try it later. ive been playing 3.7 because im tired of top tier, and the KV1/t34 combo is great, but now I cant play a single game without 10 of the ikea meatball launchers
always fun watching you mess with the op tanks of this game, you should go back to top tier and use the radkampfwagen 90 as a drive by shoooter, it would be insane to see you run circles around some russians

In the recent reading of the sav the best was to counter it is the German premium kv-1 because my sav couldn’t pen its side armor with 6 shots

I quite like savs, i always liked those fast firing but lower caliber low power round, unlike those autoconnons, like 20mm and 30mms, you can still deal with enemy frontally sometimes, or most of times if you know where to shoot, but doesnt have to strictly rely onflanks and completely useless face to face
when you get called in to clean your own mess but instead of the broom you bring the Dust killer 9000
and everyone scatteres out of fear of what the janitor is about to unleash.

I've been playing Britain 4.7 and it's been really fun because I often get downtiered to face the SAV's 😅 the churchill has been an absolute beast in my games
One of those SAV's killed me in a KV-1Ewith a close range turret shot to the side.
The SAV was on my short list of tanks I wanted to actually buy, and when Odd mentioned it and I had the GE laying around it was a no brainer.
I can't stand brawling so I certainly enjoyed it, and just wait for side shots on KV's like any other low-pen tank. No problems.
same. I did the quiz but didn't buy it in time and was kinda bummed, I've been wanting one for a long time. Considering how annoying all the other Swedish TDs around that BR are (except the ikv103), I don't feel that bad.

I was playing the SAV this weekend (purchased it years ago and never played it) and saw the teams was full of like 5-6 of them after NEVER seeing the thing in years. I was thinking "someone must of made a video on this, and I should drive me KV1E"... I was right on both fronts.
yesterday i had enough of those SAVs and i build a deck just to bully them.This wasnt that sucksessfull until i got in the duck and 5 of them got fed 75mms of he from above. That was one of my favorite war thunder matches ever.
I was playing my Black Prince the other day and while dueling a Tiger H1 and Panther I heard 5 shots bounce off my turret rapid fire, then a minute or two later, 5 more. I finally wondered wtf I was bouncing and I look over and a Sav is like 50m away looking right at me shooting my angled turret instead of my perfectly flat on hull side. One APDS through his driver and gunner later and I went back to my duel. I just giggled and though "Thanks Bawz". I bet that guy went and spent $15 on a brand new tank and was pissed that it didnt work.
Could you show us how to play the t95? Going from the ontos and scorpion to it makes me feel like I'm playing the thing wrong. Also i die a lot in it.

I was playing America 3.7, and got into a match that was America and Sweden vs others, it was 16 vs 16 and we had about 11 SAVs

Ive been eating savs these past few days in the 75/34 m43. its frontal plate has just enough armor to stop their rounds and even bounce a pak 75.
That explains why I found a SAV in 7,3 the other day
