- NASI GORENG PEDAS (SPICY FRIED RICE) Recipe by Su’s Cookbook ❤️
Ingredients:
Cooked rice (serving 2 pax)
Handful of Kangkong (Water spinach)
Ikan bilis stock cube (use desired amount)
White pepper powder
Belacan powder
Fresh lime (juice)
Chilli flakes
Salt to taste
Oil for cooking
Seasoning for taste:
Oyster sauce
Light soy sauce
Dark soy sauce
Ingredients for paste, either chop coarsely in a chopper or food processor.
2 fresh red chillies
4 green cili padi
5 red cili padi
2 cloves of garlic
8 shallots
2-3 fresh kaffir lime leaves
Handful of cleaned ikan bilis
Steps:
1. Heat up some oil and fry chopped ingredients until fragrant. Add ½ stock cube, ½ tsp of belacan powder, a little oyster sauce, chilli flakes and a pinch of salt.
2. Then, add in the Kangkong, rice and mix well.
3. Now, add in ½ tsp light soy sauce, ¼ tsp dark soy sauce and a dash of white pepper powder. Squeeze a little lime juice.
4. Stir fry until all ingredients are blended together. Turn off the flame. Enjoy!
