    Another option is to ride like you would in real life, which is slow at first and gradually increase speed as you learn the track, with emphasis on avoiding crashing. People crash because they’re not “really” trying to avoid crashing as they would in real life.

    Pahaha! Totally get the different reactions. My wife is close to banning me from this game. It's georgeous, so addictive but, I have spent so many hours trying to ace sponsored races to unlock new bikes. The game is great though, constantly teasing you to go faster to gain or hold places but, is so unforgiving. Love it! Learning a lot about traction vs weight shift. Has guven me a whole new appreciation for the riders that do the real thing. It is INSANE #fact

    The first thing you need to do to avoid crashes is first of all if you're using trigger throttle stop use the stick and adjust the dead zone and sensitivity to where you can make the tiniest adjustments flawlessly or as close to them as possible second is turn off race line it's garbage you need to memorize the course or the particular section you're doing if you go into Quick race you can actually practice the whole entire course one section at a time and you need to lastly not let off the throttle unless you're doing a hairpin turn and even then a lot of times depending on if there was a sharp turn before that you won't even need to you will just need to keep your throttle I'm giving you just the right amount of speed for that turn the AI Racers do and that's how they're beating you so bad also drive with all the driving Aids on at first if you like doing wheelies like me put wheelie on low and you must hold up on the left stick you're doing that anyway and learn how to drive well while holding up on left stick it leans you forward and makes you go slightly faster very useful for straightaways

    The game looks GREAT. but the bikes don't respond like real bikes. People need to realize the people that made this game are not real bike riders, they ride mopeds and are computer geeks. The physics are horrible. It's not realistic.

      Not the advice you're wanting, but 'keep practicing!' and you'll get there. Else do what some others are doing. Rig up a steering wheel and you'll find steering smoother (but don't admit to it)

      @@DGGAMINGTIPS Thanks for the info.I have noticed if I go down the career route it seems a bit more controllable (?).
      Maybe I'm imagining it but if I go straight to the senior tt I find it very diffucult.
      Is the game designed that way , I dunno, maybe.

    • @DGGAMINGTIPS
      @DGGAMINGTIPS  Před 6 lety +1

      Yeah - initially, the learning curve and concentration needed is hard work and tiring. But after learning all of the sections and then putting in weeks / months of practice on the full lap, racing lines get tighter, little bumps are dealt with automatically by your feel / brain / steer combination, and then it starts getting easier and the times come down. I'm close to finishing a fast lap without a crash and will post a new video on lessons learnt with that. But when I started making this video, I wasn't sure whether I'd ever get to a place where I could do a full lap without crashing

    @Clint_Beastwood87 Před 6 lety

    Avoid crashes? Dont brake at all except few points of the track right after straight and thats all.Learn bumps,use engine braking because its very strong,add some rear wheel brake to be smooth in corners,get some feel for the road,where you should release,where to apply throttle,get it slow at first and then pull out your balls and say lets try faster this corner.Take my example,in first 30 hours my lap times were 20ish mins with 600cc,no aids,first person,manual gears,split brakes.As the time goes,i was faster and faster,literally knowing every corner and bump.Now without crashes i am in 16-17 depends if i want to cruise or go full madman

    Mate it’s pronounced balaf bridge not balla bridge

    • @DGGAMINGTIPS
      @DGGAMINGTIPS  Před 6 lety

      Makes sense. I blame John McGuinness on this occasion. His pronunciation was my point of reference, after searching a few CZcams vids on it. But when I've been watching this year's TT commentary, most of the commentators pronounce it differently. Can't think of another word ending in "....augh" to compare it to, but in Cumbria, where I come from, the likes of Brough are pronounced "Bruff", so makes sense up north that Ballaugh would be Ballauf. McGuinness, Lancashire lad, should know better. I forgive him though (*legend*)

  • @Scoupe400
    @Scoupe400 Před 4 lety

    2:11 is a downfall in the game engine. It’s rubbish.
    As too 11:43, it’s all about not going faster than the game allows - you can be smooth, let off the power, lean forward, try anything but the bike will swerve off the road for no reason.... unless you’re doing less than X speed. (Or manage to fluke a line)
    There’s spots like this all over the course. The mountain is full of them.
    17:51 hit brake and it pulls you off the bike. In the real world that’s not happening. And if it was unkind, you’d either be pulling the bike out of a wobble or it’d chatter the head off the bike and dump the front on the floor - not just weave off the track.
    Most annoyingly is all this over compensation to care for the 600 super sports that the game requires. Real life those things are not spinning up like this; and they’re stable bikes at the slower speeds that we’re talking.

      @DGGAMINGTIPS  Před 6 lety

    • @DGGAMINGTIPS
      @DGGAMINGTIPS  Před 6 lety

      I'm wondering the same myself. Balls of steel and cat-like reflexes would be my guess. I think I've got a full lap down to about 6 crashes, which must add about 1 minute of waiting time on to final time. But I'm still nowhere near the 15.NN min time that the leaders are hitting. More practice needed for me

    • @soulcarrot
      @soulcarrot Před 6 lety +1

      My best is one small crash on a 600 and still over 3-4 mins slower, i have watched some of the vids and they look like they are on rails. Dark powers are at work i suspect.

    • @ryanflood635
      @ryanflood635 Před 6 lety

      It's just knowing the track, which obviously is a lot harder than it sounds, but once you can pretty much run through the course with your eyes closed and know what corner is next the rest comes naturally. Most people don't think far ahead enough and just take it corner by corner. Which makes it take a lot longer to learn the course.
      Just think entry position on the road and your speed will shoot up.
