First (and second) choices: 4:54
Third choice: 8:01
Personally, I ended up going with the second choice..
For those of you who have left our galaxy, make sure to try reaching the tenth galaxy's new galactic hub :D - Hry
Just published a cinematic centered on events seen here (dramatizing the end of the game)! If you enjoy NMS content, go check it out ^_^

@Marlboro Light 🙌
I thought the whole story of Artemis, the Atlas interface at the end, the whole dialogue and lure leading up to that point was amazing. It's a Journey of understanding, it's not the end of the game, there is no end to this game, it's an infinite universe!
It may have a limit of 200 galaxy's
In fact it's 256 galaxies. Proof -> nomanssky.gamepedia.com/Galaxy
Some dude even traveled through them all. Link to his article -> www.reddit.com/r/NoMansSkyTheGame/comments/61b65k/is_this_a_bug_just_travelled_to_galactic_core/
Technically it’s the end but not the end,it’s the completion level 1 of the game where you’ve gotten an ending/done something Big where you have drained most of the will to play or just done enough of the game to say you’ve completed it
Osmone Everony madlad ona whole new level
Well technically the game is only 16 minutes long.
So basically Atlas is a supercomputer inside a simulation of the Universe. That's it.
I wonder what happened to the Universe outside Atlas.
Well, the Atlas is something that was created to make this simulated universe and the Atlas anomalies that you find in the game is how it chooses to interact with travelers within its own created simulation. Once you finish the game you can open up these cool interfaces in buildings and space stations that require something called a "remembrance" (what you get access to after you beat the game). Anyway long story short, these things give you the lore of the game and are something to read up on as the story is quite neat.
well it a video game simulation. We are the universe outside the simulation of the Atlas. it that sense the whole thing is genuine
D.D. Descendant and that may tie to the Waking Titan project
Tinyverse bruh :o
Wow.
When I saw the original "center of the universe" thing when the game launched, I didn't think there was any way to fix it. But the "universe is a computer simulation" thing is pretty good for this game. It sorta makes the whole thing work.
Too bad the Matrix did that like a decade or two ago.
Yeah I somehow doubt this game was going for originality with its ending, just a way to perpetuate itself, something that the ending achieves.
The games always been about a simulation from the very beginning. It’s just more elaborated on in the Atlas Rises story.
"It just works"
@@sammylammy996 HA!
I still cannot get over the creepy fact that one of the atlas station hubs has floating bodies in the air
I always tense when entering the Atlas, because I don't know if, when the chamber opens up on the other side of the tunnel, it'll look normal, unsettling, or creepy. And there's no way to turn around without getting closeup 😬
i chose the reset simulation ending, when supermoon started playing i cried
There is a sense of sadness when you reset the simulation and start a new one. All the challenges, the hazards, lifeforms and planets... Gone. It's especially sad to see the lifeforms gone, as most of them are friendly.
Does everything actually get reset? Like can you use the interstellar teleporter in the Space Anomaly to teleport back to Euclid and all your bases and stuff will still be there? Or does it actually wipe everything out? If it actually wipes everything out I'll probably decide to stay in Euclid...
@@VeeTHis no, you can travel back to your old bases from the anomaly and go back to the Euclid galaxy. But judging by the time of your comment, you may have already chose to refuse.
@@ldgaming4213 what is time? who knows what he chose. who knows what he'll choose. who knows if he got there already... who knows if he's real. what is time?

No Man's Sky isn't actually disappointing but genius and it's the high expectations of the players. People seek a goal, an end or any story and the game reflects the greatness and poetry of the universe throughout the Atlas-path: There is no purpose, it's a human construct...
Ik finally somebody understands. The game is not meant to be played its meant to be experienced. When you really look at it, you weren't gonna get a better ending than starting over. No Man's Sky is meant to be a infinite platform for you to explore and enjoy to your hearts content. Not just another game to beat and throw in the trash. People misunderstood No Man's Sky and were completely blind to its true colors, to its true beauty. Nobody sits down and sees No Man's Sky as a entire universe, nobody sees it as a work of art. Thy just see it as a video game that is boring and repetitive
Life is like a circle, the circle of life
They want a goal to be made for them when the game gives you the opportunity to make one themselves.

PushandillPushback really? How do you know that?
PushandillPushback lmao ok let's here it. Prove it
PushandillPushback interesting! My reasoning is simple. We are in one of billions and billions and billions of galaxies. We are in one of billions and billions of solar systems in this galaxy alone. If every solar system had an average of 5 planets, the amount of planets is astronomically large, to our perspective seemingly infinite. We are in what's known as the Goldilocks zone of our sun. That's where the temperature is that of liquid water. So assuming we evolved naturally based on the right concoction of elements and temperature and time, then many billions of other planets have the same potential of having some sort of development of life. Logically, there are probably billions of alien species all over this vast universe. And that's just thinking about carbon based life forms mirroring the conditions we live in. Who knows what other potential life forms could form from other elements (silicone maybe?) and thrive off of. The truth is we can't know because of limited technology. Idk how we got in this argument but I love it XD
The game has extremely improved since launch it’s now 2019 and the latest update is awesome and makes it feel like game we were meant to get at launch
what abt 2023

I bought a ps4 just to play this game...... I was not disappointed. I've not put this game down for more than 2 years, it has everything I ever wanted from a game. I've started building a massive underground base, and the only thing that could make it better is a population. I want to build a civilization centre........ an empire maybe........ having specialist desk bound companions is very well and good, but to create a galactic community of npcs would just put a wicked shine on this game for me. I mean, you can build a fleet, so why not a community?
Think about the missions you could have too!! The sentinels could be sent out on a population surpressoon mission, and your job will be to oversee your people's defends personally, or in the role of battlefield supervision! Beat of the waves of sentinels! New blueprints for defensive turrets, gun bunkers, earthworks, etc....... one small change to the game gives birth to a range of new possibilities.......
What if they do a galaxy reset will all your progress go away
It happened
I selected “refuse” and I really wish I had done the reset. Came to this video because I can’t find a way to go back on my decision. And no, I can’t go back to an old save I’m on Xbox
Tragic :(
I hope this video helps people avoid making a mistake they cannot undo. Tbh, the “pocket reality” quicksilver item should be an actual interactive thing that you unlock for each galaxy you travel to and unlock
Well the stupid thing is, it says in the log that “Atlas awaits if I want to change my decision” but when I go to an atlas station, it just allows me to birth starts over and over again which is strange.
@@Rocksteady72a I tried to do a reset with the green option. When it started panning around to the left in the galactic map it kicked me out of the game 6 times in a row. I finally had to choose to refuse to reset. Now after I finally found the Atlas interface again it is like a normal visit and doesn't give me the option to reset. Currently i'm 3 ly from the center trying to get to the center. There's nothing closer to the center but the center for me. I read you have to have your fuel completely full. I filled everything up but had to go back to send some frigates out so I didn't get to try it. I built a base at 3 ly away so it'll be easy to go back and try again. Just deciding if I want to.

This game makes me wonder about how many different timelines we have been in, in real life and we forgot about them. Its like saying I always think my life is a simulation and when i (we) die it resets our memories along with everything we’ve ever seen and done and puts me (us) into another timeline
It’d certainly be an interesting realization of reincarnation.
Well scientists Ave recently figured out that once this universe dies, its gonna go through another big bang, and another universe will be born and it will die, and be reborn, etc etc. So there's no telling how many times the universe has done this.

just goto a different galaxy your self and keep everything, since going to the center of the galaxy sends you there anyways!? and you start again with everything broken lol.
If you follow the story this actually makes sense
I suppose being called a traveler has some sense to it in its name when you think about it. If you arrive somewhere in a new galaxy, why and how could have the same stuff and it NOT be broken? Your in a new galaxy so it only makes sense that every thing you have be broken. The jump alone should’ve dismantled you but it didn’t. Not to mention the galaxy inferiority complex being substantial meaning gravity could very well be pie or cupcakes. Air could be napalm and water could be pure acid. It makes more sense then the entire game does.

The anomaly wasn't as much of a thing during the version this was recorded on. That being said, the anomaly remains as something you can spawn and visit. Although, you still cannot travel between galaxies via portals, and most community-related collaborations and coordinates remain 1st-galaxy focused.
Edit: This is a pre-Origins rule. I have yet to confirm if this is still in place. Joining directly on a player or visiting bases via Nexus portal seems to allow you intergalactic travel (written during Prism).

Well these endings are better than the original ending when the game first came out mainly cause it at least gives context to the third ending and you have the option to continue the save instead of just restarting
So do you like keep all your stuff like your base, your money your weapons your vehicles or do you start from scratch and does it give you all the glyphs at the end
If we're talking about resetting the galaxy, you'll lose your base, keep your money, weapons, vehicles, but you'll have to find whichever glyphs you haven't found manually.
So the original version you just get sent to another galaxy.
Here you reset everything into a new galaxy.
Neat.

I choose the first choice, and i don't know how to change it, anybody know how do I change my choice?
I was not aware that there was an end. I have been under the impression that this was a continuous ever ongoing adventure of accumulation of wealth, unless you are killed off by pirates, marauders or some other unfortunate event. Where then you start from the beginning anew. I haven't watched in a few months and it has changed immensely...for the better from what I keep reading in commentaries.
The ending really makes you think “what if we are just a simulation and we are like a game to the people playing it
That's a what if, but I have the real answer for you: We all have a creator and it is Allah SWT, none can be greater or equal to the lord Allah SWT. All this "universe is a simulation" is all jokes, I want you to ask yourself this. Why did the big bang happen(I don't believe in it at all) why was there nothing to begin with and all of a sudden some insignificant atoms or whatever collided and made the universe? There is a creator, and he created us for one reason: To worship him.
I know lore wise to think of simulations is all fun and cool but irl... that's just not gonna work. We've got a reason to be here: and it is only to worship Allah SWT.

The easiest way to get to new galaxies after the main story is to complete the “Atlas Quest” mission, allowing you to see black hole which is a huge advantage for reaching the center.
I know I’m late to the vid but once you refuse it, r u still able to spawn in the anomaly and is it literally just the exact same as what it was before the mission?

How can i reach the center of Eissentam with portals please? Don't like Eissentam in Survival.
Does all your stuff carry over like freighter and stuff as I was told your bases do ?
What it amounts to is that some of your stuff may or may not get broken, and you may or may not get shunted to a different Galaxy. Probably, you'd get more deep insight from a box of fortune cookies than from the Atlas, whom I am not liking very much at all.
On with the game! :)
the atlas looks like what a theoratical black hole energy harnesser would look like.....
I am happy for people who are happy with this game. I personally don't get the appeal. Love that we have such a wide variety in video games.
What’s a star gate doing there
So you either ignore the atlas all together, reset it or travel to the center and fix the glitch?
I havent watched the full video yet, but does reset take everything away
I like how the ending is kinda like stranded deep where if you pick the reset option you basically go back to square one lol

So, looks like your stuff doesnt break after a reset? What about your bases, etc that you worked hard to build? Gone?
+Rocksteady Gaming Why did you cut the video in 8:01? Also, i wish you could show us the other galaxies as well :/
D.D. Descendant Looking back at my raw footage, it actually skipped like that (maybe the game had to load something taxing in the background after the choice). Regardless, the dialogue of the choice is shown. As for other galaxies beside the first and second, that would have taken another many weeks to accomplish. My goal in this video was to show what happened at the end, but I may compile them together if I ever reach the 10th galaxy.
Beautiful
If someone wonders how to get the ending: middle of the universe.
how to get there? black holes n stuff.
Ending 1 where you refuse the atlas so it dies years later and so does the universe?
Ending 2 you reset the whole universe and now your part of the atlas? and it will end without a date but thire a whole new universe waiting ti be explored
Wow no man sky has come a long way
Correction: It will end with a date. Because the No Mans Sky universe is a simulation, time is warped to be much slower than the real world. After humans left the earth and their simulation, the simulation carried on, but started to glitch and rust and more errors started to occur. Because of this, there will be 16 minutes left of the simulation IN THE REAL WORLD but in the simulation, 16 minutes is equivalent to thousands of millions of years. So yes, it will end with a date, but the date is very, very far away.
@@ldgaming4213 ah thanks
At what Part of the Story do you have to make a choice? What Happens to all my stuff, Storage containers, Resources, and ships if I choose to Go? I need the glyphs to obtain some stuff in elucid, but I would like to check out more Galaxies. If I choose to stay can I go later? How can I get to another one? Is there a HUB in each galaxy ? Sorry new to everything and Don't know what missions trigger what and I want to be prepared. Also Don't wanna loose what I have worked hard to have. Thanks.
At the very end of the Artemis questline, you come across this choice.
Your storage containers will be fine, *your base will not*. Ships will be fine too. The choice is irreversible, and you will not be able to travel back to Elucid. There are small hubs in each galaxy (at least up to Eissentam Galaxy, as far as I know), but they're really just hubs in name, as less and less people make it to each subsequent galaxy. Again, there's no way to go back, and the glyphs you obtain (though you do keep them) can only be used within the galaxy.
If you choose to stay, you can always travel to the center of the galaxy yourself, which gives you the opportunity to travel to the next galaxy. But also, if you want to be around when the weekly events drops (for now, exclusively in the Euclid galaxy), then you might want to consider sticking around :)
Edit: Grammar & such.
Thanks for the info. I just want to make sure my Massive amounts of resources come with me in them storage containers. So with this I'm guessing when I build a new base and craft the storage containers they will have what's already inside them now? or should I build them on my freighter as well?
What I would do is build them in the freighter, yes, but then before jumping to the galaxy, I'd go offline. If things work out the way they have in Atlas Rises (since NEXT changed a few things here and there), it should be in your freighter. If by some horror it's NOT, then close the app and download your cloud save, and you should be good to go.
NEXT, for the most part, didn't touch the story, but it DID make it incredibly buggy (I actually can't reach the end atm, b/c of quite a few progress-blockers). I'd hate to guarantee something, then, either by bug or small change, it turned out to not happen. If your main concern is resources, then yes they should travel with you, and GL on your journey.
Thanks. I'll be prepared.
And now I don't need to try and beat this thing
So either the center is the atlas or a giant black hole like we have in our galaxy. I’m also starting to think that at the start, your character crash lands from going into the galaxy, from going through a giant black hole in another galaxy
So is this game good now, I know theirs been updates to it, but wondering is it worth getting?
If you're interested in exploring the universe or living out a Stargate dream or space fantasy, NMS gives more motivation for each moment and feels much less empty in the spaces in between (IMO, of course). However, do not expect it to be a space-action adventure or something of the kind; at its core, it is still a discovery game.
Personally, I've liked it ever since the Foundations update, and Hello Games seems to happy to continue adding onto the game.
I came back to it after the dissapointment of launch day. It's still a boring grindfest with a story you care little for thrown into the mix. It feels like an MMO that has died and you're playing it alone - everything is repetetive takes a long time to accomplish and the novelty of anything new wears thin very fast.
When you reset do you get to keep your current ship? I would hate to have a ship with low capacity after I reset.
@Chris Macfarland Yes, your ship is parked a few minutes' walk away, like in the story missions when you come out of a portal.
So essentially, we are Artamis. When we damned Artamis to an eternal existence in that simulator of Nada's, we are essentially experiencing the same fate.
*ArtEmis
So a long story short you do stuff meet God ball then find out god ball makes other galaxies/universes and stuff and you can choose to live in those of you want or stay in the one your in is this correct? I now know that there were objectives in the game.
You didn’t know that?
What is this song from 9:15 to 11:10?
Nevermind, found it in other comment.
So you can beat the game by both making it to the core or by the atlas?
has it been changed with the last update? do the choices have any differences or is there just 4 choices one and the same thing happening?
The sequence plays out the same. The only thing that has potentially been touched is the impact of the 4 galaxy orbs. The one on the far right will take you directly to the second galaxy. "Empty galaxy" is to the left of that, then "Lush", then "Harsh." This means that you'd be going to galaxy 2, galaxy 7, galaxy 10, or galaxy 3 respectively.
