Drawing looks incredible! You're super talented. The statue... Why would anyone want to dedicate that much money and space to a cave troll is beyond me, and LOTR is my favorite franchise ever. I feel like people see the cave troll as far more iconic and cool than I do lol. An incredibly ambitious project from P1 in any case, that thing is going to be absolutely gigantic, and so is the Sauron 1/3

It's surely tempting for figure collectors. Surely not too much for fans of the film trilogy and even less so for lovers of Tolkien's books. Personally, I'm not interested in the Cave's Troll either. She-lob is even a more relevant monster.

Amazing drawing mate 🙌 This P1S showcase delivered ACES for quite a few IPs, simply one of the best showcases I’ve seen. This 1/4 Cave Troll is going to be unreal BUT P1S has to execute the base/dio really well on this one in terms of paint app. Not too worried about the Cave troll and Orcs, they generally deliver on those. If they can nail the base and surrounding, this will be the king of LOTR dio’s (maybe even the king of P1S dio’s). This one got me hyped, also because my dream of a P1S Treebeard is still alive after this showcase 😎

The Alien has really good AI is what makes it such a classic. There are jump scares but it’s up to how crafty you are if he finds you or not. The Cave Troll is insane scale and super cool man! I have been completely checked out of statues for a few months BUT the JND Catwoman brought me back in. Finally busting out of my SS 1/4th bubble 😂.

Hi Jason, great take on this amazing piece, mate! It will definitely be a grail for Lord of the Rings collectors like yourself. Personally, the very last sequence in Prime 1's next level showcase resonated more with me. The teasing of Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire statue diorama, with characters like Godzilla, Shimo, Kong, Skar King & Mothra. If that piece will be equally as big as the current Prime 1 Studio Godzilla vs. Kong Final Battle, piece, which costs $5699, I think that diorama piece will perhaps become one Prime 1's most expensive statues of all time. However, congratulations on getting this amazing Cave Troll when pre-orders go up! Cheers. By the way: amazing drawing, insane realism.

Hi Jas, great piece and a day 1 preorder for me. Think about this though. He may be 12 feet tall when standing straight up but the statue is bent over and coming down on the hammer after bursting through the wall. There's no way it will be 4 feet tall. Will be huge though and the centerpiece for a LOTR collector.
Hey matey - yeah but also look where the orcs stand to - his knee - so, going on them being 15” (same as Frodo) it’ll still be an impressive height (don’t forget this has a decent sized base height as well)… 👍🏻

JND need to vastly improve on their Arwen for me to ever consider buying anything by them dude - that piece was just a fail in my book?…
Plus, JND prices are an issue… especially when you compare to Infinity prices on 1:2 scale?…
@@hauntofthecollector Yea, Arwen was terrible. Even the dress was subpar. They can however do amazing work, it's just hit and miss.

@@hauntofthecollectorgood thing I don’t care about Arwen for my collection… but more often than not jnd hit then fail for me, so I don’t have worries plus their quality is top of the line and they the only ones where production is better than proto every time

I think the troll will be scaled to 9ft maybe 10ft… don’t think it’ll be the 12ft personally
Plus he is hunched over and bent at the knees so that subtracts height in the piece
Maybe dude?… looking at the image though the Moria orcs are about knee high - which would be 1/3 the height of the troll? And Moria orcs are approx 4ft - so 4x3 = 12!…

An impressive piece and diorama. This cave troll scene was what got me in the cinema to see LOTR, seeing it on "Film Barry Norman" on BBC1 (I'm sure you remember him?) 😂 If the Fellowship was added, I would consider this. But as of now, Matrix Neo, John Wick and Dune Part-Two are the only pieces on my radar.
They looked superb matey - I was also seriously impressed by the latest Horizon pieces!!! They looked bloody awesome!!!

No mate, this is just the render - you’ll see the colour once they show off the actual statue - although, I doubt there will be much colour to this?
