Both events occurred during his college days and he explained how his nervousness around guns was all due to a lack of knowledge. Colion said that a friend took him to the gun range where he shot a gun for the first time. He said after the second round he was hooked.

For people who dont understand why people would want that many guns, it's not that they are stocking up for the end of the world. Not saying people dont do that but some like to collect guns and/or just shoot them. Its no different than being into any other hobby or collecting stuff. It's actually a good way to get rid of stress and it's fun to do. I wish a bunch of these gun haters would be open minded enough to go shooting one day. I bet most would have a different opinion about guns.
I agree completely. I didn't buy my first gun until I was 56 years old! I always enjoyed shooting but didn't do it much unless I went to the range with a friend, and I used his guns. Now I own a AR 15, Zastava M70 ( based on the AK 47 ), and a Canik TP9 sfx 9mm. Now I want to get an M1A. I belong to a gun range, and I love to shoot. It does relieve stress. I met some very nice people too at the range.

I agree. Colin has the perfect demeanor, cool, calm and collective, polite, receptive and an excellent listener. I believe he not only represents me, but the many who share his beliefs. He has no problem having sit-downs with opposing sides and expressing his opinion backed by facts while maintaining maximum cool. A definite class act.

This is embarrassing. You called my number! First, a compact, then a M4, the a shotgun, then a subcompact, the a .300 black out and a month ago I picked up my first 1911.
Ricky flinchum-I have most of the bases covered I think lol I have a 30-30 lever action and .45 long colt lever action, a .300 blackout, Zastava ak, browning safari 2 30-06, ar pistol setup, 12 gauge pump tactical , a 22/4-10 break barrel, a 10 mm Ria 1911, a Glock in .45, a walther ppq in .40 and and a Glock in 9 mm and I want soo many more 😂 I’m looking at a 357 next in a revolver for the right price

After 20 guns, you start to lose track and at some point your mind breaks down to your favorite 5 or 6 guns that you shoot all the time. You dont really forget about the others, but you don't really think about those guns all that often.

If you’ve been following CN before he started with the NRA, you would know that his single mother did what she was supposed to do in raising black men. She kept him engaged in positive activities and steered him away from Thug Life. I love my firearms. I'm a big advocate for firearm ownership. But never once have I even considered joining the NRA.

Funn/interesting story: moved from Florida to Michigan few yrs back. Then found out I had to register my hand guns at the court house/sherifs office. So I went in there with all my info. When I got to the counter the person helping me with it said her first words were “ you bought 7 handguns all at one time”? I said NO just moved from Florida and was told I needed to register them. Then I said and so what if I did buy them all at once? No reply back. Crazy...
A big rule for me is never say you own guns because you can potentially become a target to certain people ..

I have been lucky enough to introduce a few folks to guns. Mostly young ladies. Everyone had an experience very similar to his. They were nervous at first but after a little teaching and shooting they all became fans. I really enjoyed the experience and will do it every chance I get.

The problem with guns is escalation. It starts with an innocuous polymer handgun for home protection. Then you need one (has to be better) for the truck. Now you need a range toy, you know, to get better at marksmanship and stuff. Next thing you know you're ogling a CZ Accushadow 2 and making the up reasons why you NEED one.
*_I think I have about 35 guns but most of those are cheap pistols that I bought because they were unique. Some are amazing revolvers from the 1800s. I have about 15 guns that are truly special, all select-fire & most bought by my dad in the '70s & '80s & had that old M-16 look but now have the regular AR look & are full-auto capable. I also have a few SMGs like the uzi & mini uzi, which i do not like at all but dad bought them because they looked cool & were cheap guns. My dad bought the automatic AR-15 off the shelf & it cost $100 less for the semi-auto back then. He also swapped an old truck for an M2 .50 cal that a guy had & he mounted that in the bed of his Highboy which was customized to be the main workhorse on our property in Oklahoma but he did drive into town sometimes & nobody ever ran for their safe space when he came roaring into town, lol. So he left me all his guns in his will, 3 AR-15s were actually bought in 1960, which apparently means something but I don't know. My M-16s sit on the wall but the guts of those old rifles have since had an AR-10 & some AR-15s built around them - Absolutely legal of course. I really enjoy walking thru our woods with an AK-P that is full-auto capable. It's not the same as an SBR, an AR-P, or any other gun. I feel like a wild man daring a mountain lion to attack, lol. Now that OK is a wet day away from becoming a 2A sanctuary state, I won't ever sell any automatic weapons or uppers/lowers that were bought by my dad as extra spare parts when he returned from Vietnam. Those are priceless in a historical sense so I teach our kids to love & respect our constitution & to never give an inch when it comes to our rights, all of them_*

This guy is pretty cool. Demolition Ranch has a more extensive collection I think but I'm not sure. Idk if he'd do an interview but he's a pretty standup guy as well.

The gun range is a good time. Especially for first timers. My Bros and I just went two weeks ago and it was great. Even before going we were debating who and why to carry lol. We had hundreds and guns on the table and didn't rent one. Lol

I had a very dear friend whose whole investment portfolio was firearms. Thousands. Crates of sks in the cosmoline. Precision rifles l96s, never fired registered select fire bars. Just amazing history. He sold a few here and there to buy houses and cars through his retirement. Amazing man.

I don't care about color, black or white doesn't matter to me. I respect him for being a lawyer and now is pro-gun. When he speaks about guns or gun control, he uses common sense. That's rare today, common sense is not common today. I own a gun, but never had any safety classes or anything. All you need is a lot of common sense and practice with the weapon you own. For me, I used nothing but bolt action rifles since I was 13 (.22 &. 3030). But they were not mine. Then, when I turned 51, I bought my first gun, a pistol. I had never shot a pistol before especially such a large caliber as a S & W Shield 45, I was used to larger guns that you had to do a lot of work to fire a round. Now, I have this tiny gun where I can cock it once and keep firing. All of sudden, I had to get used to the recoil of firing a .45 caliber all in my hand. It was a big change for me. So going from guns that were big and you didn't feel any recoil, to a small gun that was a bucking bronco was a big switch.

Shit my gun range 3 people committed suicide there. One case the person rented a gun from the range & the other two they used the person that took them to the range firearms.. and people say there isn't a mental health issue in the country

I served 3 years in the Marine Corps and held the range record (243/250) for the entire base. I have a very healthy respect for guns and rifles... and I know how to use them!
