- In this video I go over everything you need to know about the new boss medallions in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2. In season 2 instead of regenerating your shield the boss medallions give you abilities. These abilities include increased damage, siphon, zero point dashes, and faster sprint. They’re worth way more now that a single one isn’t just infinite two minis. I like that you have to know how each one works. Only not liking the frequency of Zeus bolts spawning so far.

Ares medallion makes the gold sniper do above 125 damage on a body shot meaning you can 2-shot body shot in zero build

Big fan of this season so far. Absolutely love the Styx dash, and I like how there’s actually a reason to go for different medallions, rather than just going for whichever has the best weapon

Wait till you use flow berry then switch to the wings you get mad jump and float without using wings
Either the one that Cereberus gives you or the aspect of combat because both have strong effects especially the combat buffing the mythic war forged is super great
I had a similar issue with the zero point dash occurring when I didn’t want it to while trying to mantle esp with the Cerberus medallion equipped

Cerberus medallion is the best I think. Those dashes can be super helpful in a fight and as an emergency escape if you're out of mobility!
haven’t played the new season yet because I’m on vacation but this gameplay makes me so hyped to try the new ar/shotgun
It's very fun. Although the new Ar has alot of vertical recoil. Takes a Lil getting used to but after a few games you will love it
Having 3 green skulls while having lightning bolt is insane, you can dash mid air so they can't free hit you while you're throwing lightning bolt.

does the Aries medallion increase the Mythic weapons damage?
and something that might be worth mentioning while using the Zues Medallion... Try it with a flowberry... you literally FLY and can curve in mid air like you're flying...I did it and was like WTF.
- which makes me think try it with Wings equipped (don't use them...just have them out) hit a flow berry, then equip wings and do a jump you might go Crazy far and be able to turn 90s mid air.
I actually really like having zeus and cerberus medallions. They're great mobility so you can carry something else instead of shockwaves or the wings. I think the loadouts this season are going to be very interesting instead of the "standard" ar/smg, shotgun, sniper, grapple, shields

I've found that the siphon one saved my life when I got my first crown. I was at 50 shield until I ran into someone and blasted them and I got almost full health.

Something to note using a zero point dashes at any point while falling off a cliff will stop you from taking fall damage
What is one rarity higher to Aries’ mythic? To me it feels like I hit more long range shots with Aries mythic and medallion.

The dash works decent with the flow berry
I also like to carry up to 2, that doesn't give away much at all, I won't go out of my way to get 3 at all, but if I happen to get them I would pick 3, I don't really like 4 because that really gives away exactly where you are.
And like you said its hard to rate them, they are all good and beneficial, probably in terms of PURE GAIN in terms of combat and survivability and overall the Hades, Cerebrus and Ares are on the same level while Zeus is slightly bellow, but Zeus is still pretty nice and also fun to have, love moving faster and being so agile its very fun.
Got all the medallions on my last game and an inventory full of legendary guns and felt so OP
I like all except the Zeus one. The sprinting is good, but the jumping mechanics just disorientates me. I’d take the dash over the sprint any day as well.

have a question, why sometimes when you sprint jump with speed medallion, you dont get that extra jump?
Is that bunker bug back? Where they all face the same direction no matter where or how you throw it?
Everytime I play trios or squads me or one of my teammates game crashes. Anyone else dealing with this?
My game has crashed multiple times over the weekend. A couple of times mid-game, and a few more upon returning to lobby. I play on Series X, and I’ve heard of it happening with other Xbox players.
Noticed this aswell not just on xbox where i usually play
I'm on series x, my gf is on PC, some of the homies are on ps5. And all of us have had several crashes mid game sending us back to dashboard 😑 it's pretty lame especially since it seems to happen several times a day. Conveniently always when I have amazing loot and am on a roll, especially if it's like less the. 20 people left

The Medallion that gives you the 0. Dash and Zeus's speed medallion. Together are amazing
I am not an aggressive player, so Zeus and Cerberus medallions are my favorite because agility to escape when it's necessary is what I need.

I generally didn't carry any medallions last chapter because I don't like advertising my location to the entire lobby considering we are in a meta where everyone is packing a sniper. Asking to be focused often by multiple people at the same time just makes 3rd parties even more of a concern.
Great content as always Jake. I really love the re work of the medallions. You can play and win without much of a disadvantage if you just play and not worry about them. But, when I kill players using them I am picking them up bc it's a nice bonus.

In season 1, the Boss' minions wouldn't spawn when their health went to 0 before recharging, if the Boss was in the storm at the time. Does anyone know if that is the case this season as well?

At 10:00 you say that the Zeus medallion cancels fall damage if you sprint jump beforehand. Is this still the case if your sprint runs out, midway through the fall?
yes likely there is kinda a visual effect youll see when you sprint jump with it and I think it even has an audio queue

I just grab hades then take the Cerberus one and i am good to go honestly. But hades is my no1 prior cause i fight non stop. Ares is the least favorable to me on the list, that extra damage not really marks up for the givenaway location (at least for me) its more interesting if you fight a 50/50 fight but thats just stupid

1.cerberus 2. ares 3. hades 4. zeus and im not ever gonna be picking up the zeus one so up to 3
i find that in a duo"s game you go battle brawl kill ares one of you take's the ar the other one takes the medallion then go to olmpyus kill zeus and the one with the medallion takes the dmr and the one with ar take the medallion now you have spread around the damage because the dmr with extra ares damage is 76 instead of 75 and the ar if you can hit your shots at meduim range and melt people with 22-23 damage per bullet with a fire of 0.2ish so the extra damage is not needed there and zeus is there for the person with ar to close the distance to meduim to shred while yuor teammate kills them from afar bewarned the timing is tight to get them before you die to storm

Had ares, hades, and Cerberus medallion and used the Cerberus to dash over and behind Batman on a roof and kill him with my AR
EPIC! If you're going to give us a product (Fortnite) make it fit for purpose. When there's snipers in the game, give us console players sniper sensitivity on the settings, please.
Thoughts on this season:
1. Keeping the sniper and frenzy was a mistake. Its made the DMR irrelevant, and ruined any chance of a fresh dynamic with the gunplay. If they vaulted them both it would've let the new guns shine and mixed things up nicely.
2. The medallions with the different effects are much better than last season. Due to this video I will probably never go for Zeus or Ares, Hades and Cerberus are much better.
3. The Icarus wings are a problem. Endgame feels a lot like the Hammer, just people repeatedly flying away instead of fighting.
4. I think I prefer work benches like this. Fully upgraded guns are more of a late game thing and it makes rare/epic guns nicer to find in early game.
You only need to sprint with the Zeus to not take fall damage

The Combat Medallion is useless.
I love the the Speed Medallion and the Agility Medallions are the best, especially for Zero Build (although I mainly play Builds but with these Medallions I might be playing more Zero Build this season)
The Siphon Medallion is also good tho.

Improved speed, improved sprint duration - its a passive movement item that costs nothing and doesn't take a slot/

i think it’s because he’s like partnered with epic or something idk it’s something only they can do like normal players can’t do that

They should have NEVER released Zeus's bolt as is. Like as an item in Pubs it makes sense, it's a funny overpowered item, BUT IN RANKED? I have been 3rd partied 5 different times from kids just sitting in bushes with 3 Zeus's bolts for a free win.

They a did terrible job with the map, should have been more spread out. 4 medallions, 2 on one side 2 on the other side, rest of the map is just pointless

Returning player from C2S3, started playing again for OG. I don’t wanna say that this season is bad, but I feel very overwhelmed by the wings/lightning.
