I like how low gravity was simulated, in the environment. It had plenty of water and a nice thick atmosphere, but once you jumped, it seemed like the gravity was similar to Earth's moon.
It is not clear why this game has not become so popular. It looked quite decent in the same row as the titans that were coming out at that time - Quake II and Unreal And yes, the music sounds cheerful, there are guitar rhythms
Yeah 1998 it got overshadowed with releases like SiN which itself got overshadowed by Half Life and Unreal 1, Z.A.R has a bit more going with its ability to destroy the ground and terraform it, way before Red Faction came out.
Well, it’s pretty strange for 1998. Earth looks polygonal, like in a Quake, but enemies are still Sprite. And boats or ships too! I remember Cyberpunk 2077 - transport in distance was in sprites, that was sooo LOL, … I guess it’s Hispanic shame… Remind me something like Dark Forces, maybe…
90s people: "Yes kids, those were the graphics we enjoyed back then" 2020s people: "Yes kids, those cheap 4k Ultra Engine was the best we had back then" 2050s people: Yes kids, back then we didn´t have a holodeck"
The visuals of 90's terrain maps blew me away as a kid, it's a shame we don't yet have a modern engine that replicates it nicely
Yeah, we need more of the 90's terrain in gaming 😭
@@Hislop09For the true retro experience you should code your own engine
@@consequenciasinimaginaveis6901 I wish I knew how to 😭
Isn't it mostly just that they're choosing not to make it in that shape and with unfiltered textures?
This is Voxel graphics, I believe. I can't imagine it being too hard to replicate.
music is TOO good
I didn’t even remember that i knew this game was a thing, you just reconnected those memories for me
Always good to have old memories of games come flooding back.

Dang those sprites are smooth as heck

"Mom, can we get MechWarrior?"
Mom: "We have MechWarrior at home."
MechWarrior at home:
🤣
Surprisingly engrossing visuals.
These sprites and terrain looks really nice.
Can make a really good vaporwave cover.
Bloody hell, first time I've ever heard of this game.
this looks rad
Never heard of this one. Looks like an unofficial sequel to Terranova.
Never heard of Terranova :o

Looks like Delta Force
Haven't played Delta Force i'm afraid, but i'm willing to give it a try.
I remember that one, like that Mars demo by Tim Clarke. I wonder if they used the same code
Oh i think I played this

It's always about the graphics ;(
Where is the ost/Soundtrack
Musics playing but can't hear it much over the other sounds.
@@Hislop09 but no one has uploaded the OST separately on youtube.
