I may be 13 but I don't care about Graphics as long as it doesn't look like a 5 year old drank paint and sneezed on it then I'd still call it good. Most of it for me though is if it runs well or if it has bugs,glitches or it's just really unstable to play.

Here's a little known fact about GTA 1: Take 2 pitched GTA to nearly every major video game publisher that existed back in the 90's. The list includes: EA, Activision, Atari, THQ, Acclaim, Eidos, plus a few more. None of them bit, stating that the graphics were too primitive, and the subject matter too controversial. After being unable to find a publisher, Take 2 had no choice but to publish it themselves, and Rockstar Games was born. You know these companies are all regretting their decision now. Especially Acclaim. They are out of business now, and GTA almost certainly would've saved them.

I remember riding my bike to Target to buy this game when I was in Junior High around '99 after a classmate kept telling me about it. Came home and played it and was disappointed with the graphics, but after about 15 minutes of playing it I was hooked. One of the funnest games I've ever played, a definite classic.

ahhhh the beginning of it all...... I remember playing this and it used to remind me of racing my matchbox cars around the floor, so many memories, it's great to see that GTA kept the spirit and the magic of the game all the way to the end. Roll on September 17th and LONG LIVE GTA.

Man.... this will always remain one of my favorite GTA games... knowingly this game isnt all that, but i grew up with it, knew which cars were fast, and had a kick ass soundtrack :)

no gta 6 will not be out in 2018 it is being delayed until 2020 or later do to the fact gta 5 is still going strong with people playing it online and with tons of mods it is said that the new gta 6 will have VR support which is one reason why it is being delayed the other cause of gta 5 still being very popular

Dude, i know a lot of people are saying Gta 5 sucks and its nothing on the classics. A lot of people say it to fit in but your gotta remember, gta 5 is bada**,. These are older,this game is almost 20 years old. Just deal with the fact that rockstar moved on.

The difference in graphics between GTA 2 and GTA 3 is HUGE, it's incredible how big of a difference it is, and it came out only 2 and a half years after GTA 2.
We won't see such huge revolution in graphics ever again.

The difficult thing about driving at high speed in this GTA was that because of the overhead view you couldn't see what was ahead of you, in a way you were driving blind only having a very short time to avoid crashing into objects that appeared on the screen right infront of you.

I remember I went to PC World or something and tried to buy this by myself. I got denied. I ran over to my mom and was like I can't buy it, you have to buy this for me because it's rated M! She bought it and my older brother and I were never more grateful. We used to fight over PC time so we could continue our campaigns haha,

how old are you? you have to keep in mind the era in which GTA 1 was released. when i played this game as a kid, i was captivated by the vast world which the player could freely explore for secrets. the free-roaming, sandbox gameplay was completely new to me back then and i spent countless hours just exploring without actually doing any missions. you could argue that GTA 3 is better, but GTA 1 paved the way for it.

Hard to believe this used to keep us entertained for hours, when we look at GTA3 onwards. I personally want them to re-release Vice City for xbox360 and ps3 though, that game was ridiculous.

My god, I had so much fun on this game as a kid. What are those fucking orange men making music that always walked in a line? I used to try and run over them all at once so you could get 'GURUNGAI!!' come up on your screen...followed by 3 stars of police coming after you hahaha

This game was released back in 1997.
That last sentence proved that many people that played the new games think that they are way better than 1 & 2 in every way. better graphics, better gameplay, more addicting, and all together, a bigger game.and above all that, Rockstar still managed to give the new games that GTA feeling. im not saying that gta 1 and 2 were bad, but they are no where near as good as GTA 3,VC,SA, or IV.
This takes me back! Back then this game was awesome, but I was like 9 when it came out. My brother did not want me to play because of the violence...I wondered, what violence? Especially compared to todays GTA games hehe!
