Went from a 180hp CBR1000RR as a commuter to a 797, enough power for City driving, lovely torque curve and the sound with a slip on is addictive. Really comfortable, love It.

@@AbuAreejQ21 bought a 797 two months ago and i can tell you it's a blast ;-) you made a got choice, a big change in character can be made by changing the standart exhaust. The standart doesn't sound exciting at all in my estimation. I live in Europe and bought myself a roadsitalia exhaust for 250 Euros and now the bike is perfect :-) i wish you a nice time with yours aswell ;-)

This is to supplement my 2024 CFMOTO 450SRS sports bike. I can’t wait to receive the Monster in my stable. Now I have a great little sports bike and Naked bike! 😎👍🏼

I put a deposit on one of these today. I’ve been agonising for a couple of weeks whether to save myself a bit of cash and get the MT07, I went for the 797. The MT07 has a bit more of a punch and you get a lot of bike for your money. I liked the slightly forward riding position on the 797 and you’re right, the power feels like it is spread more evenly and linear. The seat is more comfortable as well! Pick it up in two weeks! 😊

The false neutral is a pain in the ass. I did read about that before I got my bike, I have the 11' 796 first bikes. I know it's a really big bike to start on but I was told that all I would need to Master is throttle control. I love it except the maintenance cost for everything 7500 miles. When i notice my bike is quiet, I'm traveling 80 plus. Handles well in the rain.

Let me ask you, how are you able to come in a conclusion that a bike is better than another without riding it in various conditions and under pressure? I mean how are you going to point out that the Monster justifies the price difference by offering much better braking and handling than the SV650 or MT07? I totally agree with you, the headlight should be black! and it really needs an aftermarket exhaust!

I thought the 821 was just about perfect, but it's way more powerful, far more than the extra CC's suggest. Probably a little too much for the street.
I had the same problem with the mirrors. Totally useless. I really liked the bike though.

Yeah chase you hit everything on the head even with all the ducati issues (shitty gearbox constant false neutral) . but once the 797 gets to those twisties its so much fun . i have the 797 i changed to rizoma barend mirrors a akropovic exhuast tidy tail and a remap the bike is sooo much better

Hey Chase! I love your videos. I've been learning a lot about bikes from them. I'm actually looking into getting into the motorcycle market and I was wondering if you could recommend me some of the best beginner bikes in terms of looks, user-friendliness, and affordability?

SV650 or FZ 07, I personally prefer the SV and think it would be more user friendly, better pricing and an adults bike, the FZ 07 looks like a Toys 'R'' Us bike

Paul Kim I'm not Chase but I recommend you sit on different style bikes and see which one suits you the best.

Been waiting for this video - thanks. I have a Bonneville T100 as my daily rider. Looking for a bike for the twisties and comparing this and the FZ07. I'm not looking for a wheelie machine but rather something smooth and composed for hustling through the mountains. The price difference isn't a big deal to me. How's the handling on this vs the FZ07

Lebowski Fan I would say see if you can get test rides on he Monster 821 and the FZ back to back. I think with the FZ, it's a little smoother transmission, but for me the Monster is just one sexy machine, and if money is not the issue, go with the Monster. I've had two of them and probably will not buy any other bike next unless it's the Monster 1200. Excellent bikes and gorgeous looks compared to anything else.
