GIRL! That painting diy and this coffee table one have come at JUST the right time for me!!! Another consideration is that if you often have enough guests to fill both sides of the couch, using very tall items means you cannot see the people on the other side without playing dodge the vase. I like relatively low items like books and moss bowls and candles for that reason.

She's too good for HGTV. That entire channel only has the same 2 style rooms they repeat OVER AND OVER. They haven't diversified interior styles in the past decade. She needs to be featured in Architectural Digest!
Oh you mean the real estate channel 🙄. It’s all buying and selling and modern farmhouse designs... remember when they actually had decorating shows.
@@rexrad9735 They (they being mainly David Bromstead & Tiffany Brooks) changed things up a bit for the Rock the Block series recently. But otherwise, you're right. I'd love to see more of David & Tiffany's style/home decorating featured on the channel. They even had a special with Mr. Kate, but it was only a special and not a series.

What "rules" are when goes to glass top, iron gate oval coffee table? The coffee table is on top of a Persian antique rug.
When goes to books, I change some of them with the months or with whatever is going on around in USA or the world, the few regular ones represent some of my hobbies. I like when my closed group comes see something different, something that is related of what is going on.
My mother always had a nice sign-in journal. I continued with the tradition but in addition I have "The Proust Questionnaire" and some color pens in a rectangular vintage box. Sometimes, I put my old set of dominos with the rules. This not only help as a motivation but as a conversation starter. I even put in consideration how the filled glasses of wine or cups will look on the table, they are not part of the coffee table decor BUT for a short time can become part of it. I personally like it because is fresh and my guest feel embrace by "all this sexy stuff" like some put it.
Is this right or I should re-think the whole crazy metheology and edited ?

Have you ever thought about using a high hold hairspray to spray your moss with? Also the best moss to get is called mood moss as it doesn't come apart like other varieties

Moss: banned by Babe! Love it. I'm very glad that you pointed out that you need to consider the coffee table styling form different sides. It seem to me, at least, you need to consider the styling from the point of view of folks as they enter the living area.

I love your styling and love your videos but there's one point that often confuses me in what you see with people who do interior stylings on CZcams. Wouldn't exactly call it a pet peeve but....
I don't understand why people put things on top of their coffee table books. Coffee table books are meant to be accessible not just to the people that live there but to your guests as well. And I'm sure no one wants someone to have to move some heavy object that you've placed on top of your coffee table book. Especially if you have a glass coffee table or some other fragile material like marble or concrete that could get damaged. Especially if you have something like a Gio or some other heavy object on top of the book

With coffee table books, which direction should the spine be facing? I want them to face where I typically sit, but I think it's nicer to face where the visitors sit!? I would love some feedback! Thank you
