This is my step by step tutorial on how to build a Web Kiosk with Rasberry Pi 4.
But what is a web kiosk?
A web kiosk is nothing more than a device that allows the use of content in a controlled way.
What does it mean in a controlled way?
It means that when the kiosk is turned on, it displays a pre-established initial page and from there the user can interact only with the active elements of the page that have been foreseen; they can be: buttons, images, modules. The user will never be able to leave the predetermined paths, nor will he be able to open other applications. In fact it is like a computer that can only run one program, and that program is not allowed to exit.
All used software in this project is Open Source, so totally free!

Ciao Alessandro, ho seguito tutti gli step provando e riprovando varie volte ma senza successo, il massimo che riesco ad ottenere è che startx parta ma l'xauth fallisce e lo schermo rimane nero, perdendo ogni funzionalità del RB, l'unica cosa che posso fare è ri-flashare tutto. Hai qualche consiglio? Sto usando un RB Pi 4

Avrei un piccolo problema che non riesco a gestire. È possibile utilizzare le gesture touch su chromium? Sono riuscito a impostarlo nella modalità kiosk senza problemi, ma non avendo la possibilità con il prodotto finito di usare mouse o tastiera, vorrei abilitare la navigazione tramite le gesture come se fossi nella modalità "responsive" per intenderci. Qualche consiglio? Grazie comunque il tutorial e per l'eventuale risposta

ciao. il progetto l'ho utilizzato propio per fare un kiosco web da utilizzare con le gesture touch. guarda quest'altro video czcams.com/video/4O5nr4Ld83Q/video.html e se guardi nei commenti arrivi al mio articolo che spiega come ho fatto.

Did you manage to get a kiosk working? I did it successfully in 2017 and now I'm trying it again. So far I tried 3 or 4 different guides and none of them work. It's a sad state of affairs.
