@G2theEye well mw2 is good to understand mw3 but the characters almost all of them die the survivors of TF141 is Soap captain price and nikolai and mw2 is mainly about TF141 towards the end because at the end they need to focus on sheperd instead of makarov anyways U.S rangers still lived cause in mw2 the last rangers mission the "Whiskey Hotel" in mw3 they go to moscow so to understand the Rangers and Task Force141 mw2 is a choice so i agree but the characters not important its the teams

If you're buying it for the online, then I'd have to say no way. The only people who would play mw2 now, are those who have hacked it, or those who are extremely good at it, and won't quit until the servers are shutdown. So you'll either get owned, or killed by someone knifing you from across the map. So I'll suggest you buy MW3.
