The Last of Us Part I arrives on PC March 28, 2023 via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Ahead of The Last of Us Part I's launch later this month, get a sneak peek at some of The Last of Us Part I's PC features, such as the inclusion of the "Left Behind" DLC story chapter, Photo Mode, Ultra-Wide Support (for both 21:9 Ultrawide and 32:9 Super Ultrawide aspect ratios), 3D audio*, and more.

death stranding ultra wide even without an ultra wide screen made the game feel more fun for some reason

Will it support simulatenous mouse and gamepad inputs where users of the Steam Deck if they wanted could use the touchpad set to a mouse and use regular analog joystick for movement and XYAB buttons for other actions?
And will the game support the option to lock icons if that is the case so they aren't switching between keyboard and gamepad prompts like Uncharted 4 does on the PC?

It'll be fine the spec requirements are a joke. There only there as a baseline and should be taking with a very fine grain of salt

It should run fine, gtx 1080 is still a very capable 1080p card, the CPU will struggle though

judging by the system requirements, if this is not a joke, this Sony project will surpass horizon, at the time of release on the PC, in a curve and broken optimization. If a game is running at 60 fps on ps5 it doesn't need any 4080 RTX if it's optimized because the ps 5 graphics card delivers 1070 ti level performance in benchmarks

@@lotsens есть тесты, где мощность видеокарты пс 5 по терафлопсам равна разогнанным версиям 1070 Ти, около 10 Тфпс, где-то там рядом стоковые 2070. Но все равно, сравнивать эти карты с 4080 РТХ, у которой суммарная мощность 50 Тфпс, просто смешно. Это значит, в игре оптимизация просто отсутствует, если она требует карту на пк в 5 раз мощнее, чем на консолях, на которой тоже все будет работать в 60 фпс в 4к

They promotes 3D Audio but this technology was widespread decades ago. OpenAL, DirectSound3D etc. But past years it was at least hardware accelerated.
I'm guessing the game will use binaural 3d for stereo headphones, like on ps5. It's very effective in many games and doesnt require a surround speaker setup or surround headphones.
Hope PC release will fix bugs also on console

PC build is probably too much different they would need to probably made these bug fixes mostly again from start using PS5 build can be done but would require extra work.

All the Sony PC games have so far. I can't see that this would be any different. Of course you will have to run it on low at 40fps or lower.

@@8BitRetroMonkey 3d audio is about how they made audio different pit he's to account for how sound bounces in our ear so we know if its coming from up or down. The tempest chip is something that can process 1000s of raindrops sound at once

@@BeyondBirthday8 Absolutely sure. But devs are going to use performance killing features that do not bring serious graphics improvements. Look at the consoles. We have PS3 which is based on Nvidia Curie achitecture that was released in 2004th and this console still has many recent games. Of course slightly worse graphics but it runs and runs well.
