@The Encryption It's a lot about body language, too. When I see the original "Let It Go" movie clip, I don't see an anti-hero character who is angry and disappointed at everything and just wants to play alone with their own rules from now on. I just see a girl who is too scared to be herself in front of others because her family made her feel like it was wrong, and found freedom in loneliness. This completely changes the perception of Elsa as a character, it makes you feel sorry for her, but without the strong anti-hero vibe that you can perceive here in this fananimation.
Her body language, in many parts of the song, makes her seem still socially constrained, she's even sensually coded in some parts, and I think this doesn't really go well with the message the song is trying to convey. I've honestly never even realized how much I like this song and how powerful it is until I found this cover, because it just makes it so much better and powerful than what Disney did. If Elsa sang this version instead of the original one and had a bit of male!Elsa's attitude, it'd have been MUCH better.
I remember listening to this 8 years ago when I was 12. So many things in between. Such a nostalgic version.

If Elsa was male I feel like it would have a meaning more deep-rooted. The story of an insecure older brother who feels that he has to be the perfect son and powerful king but who learns that power isn't in violence but in caring for his younger sister would be such an interesting story.
pheobus apollo Yes and it would have been more similar to the original fairytale. This boy would have been Kai and Anna would have been Gerda. Moreover, they could have introduced also the Snow Queen as the one who gave Kai power when he was very young and made her a sort of Te-fiti/ Te-ka from Oceania ( so a powerful and wise character who turned evil because of some men corruption who will become good again in the end thanks to Kai and Gerda ) . I wish Disney do a live action of Frozen/The snow Queen with a plot like this in the future ( it would be amazing)

I don't know how they missed this. They wanted to do something a bit new with the whole "true love doesn't have to mean romance" thing. But they also could've had a story with an insecure older brother with self-esteem issues and a take-charge little sister, that would've been pretty cool and not something you see very often.

Have i got a few things i would love to give,
1. It's honestly been over 9 years ago since i discovered this animation song because i have not even forgotten about it since it sticks in my head but also Frozen it's been like everyone's childhood relics for over 10 years ago.
2. Lots of work thought out but not just the cover but the fact how we're all coming back to binge watch this like over and over again.
3. I don't know as well if you're gonna see this considering the number of comments on this video.
4. I think nothing else can outdone with such top-notch work.
5. All i can really say here that you're my inspiration who deserves like a million times the support you truly desire.
6. I listen to this every time because it's so outstanding overall, i have no regrets to not go back in time to take that time, because me and the others just can wait to see what sort of other animations you plan to make plus best wishes to you Jess the Dragoon ma'am.

I liked the ending here. Like the ice door closes which is a pink shade. Even colors are ascribed to genders. Pink are girls, blue are boys. In this video it just showed that colors have have no gender boundaries and vice versa. It's time we open our minds and accept this. It's amazing. ☄

Okay, Since this might aswell be the best place for that, I once remember having a dream about something like this, like an alternate version of Frozen, seeing the full movie in the cinema. The main difference was Elsa had Dark powers, the movie was called "Wicked". I remember that the plot was mostly the same, both sisters being royalty and all, but it took place in 19'th century Louisiana. Stuff I remember the most is that Olaf was replaced with a sentient Voodoo doll called Vincent and Hans was a much deeper character because Elsa's powers were actually destructive and scary there. Instead of a castle she conjured a gothic Mansion in the woods... Also instead of trolls there were Shadows, like in Princess and the frog. Other details are hazy, but it was just so surreal to see basically an alternate Universe version of the movie.
When i was like 8-7 i always thought he was kinda fine 💀
What really gets me about this is how the movements seem so masculine. Guy!Elsa doesn't move with Elsa's dancer grace but with the power and deliberateness one would expect from a guy that bulky. Kudos
I have to agree. I've watched this one several times while referencing the original and frankly this one is brilliant. His movements pay homage to Elsa, even mimicking her in may ways, and yet they stay both original and true to what you would expect from a male character. It's very well done and very impressive to me.
That's exactly what I liked most about this video, not the exact movements but still based on them. Absolutly delightful!

Well the only real change is that he doesn't skip after letting his cloak fly away like Elsa. He just does this awkward power-walk. I know the artist was roto-scoping, but that little scene needs a touch up, maybe make him jog.
