4:18 The cotton Belt Freight Depot is a great landmark and looks amazing from the bike trail north of the arch.
I attended CVPA, c/o ‘88. My friend who also went there is a teacher at the current CVPA location on Kingshighway. The Garrison location was a beautiful building 35 years ago. Kind of heartbreaking to see it this way.
Very sad to see them all just rot away like this! You can see how amazing they all used to be.
@@jimlwolfe-empty-midwest my family moved away from St. Louis in 1986 but my husband and I came 2 years ago. He’d never lived here before and loves the old architecture. We appreciate this video series, keep up the good work.
@@spoiledjam3710 Thanks, I will have more videos coming soon!
This list Krey Key Foundry, which is incorrect. Krey was a slaughterhouse and meat packing facility.
I’m realistic enough to know that ultimately buildings are just objects with a life cycle, like everything else. They serve a purpose, until they don’t. Can’t help but feel sadness to see Central High School in ruins. My school, class of 1956.
i lived very close to krey meat packing plant...
i can still smell that smell ... YUCK
WHAT A SHAME!!!!!
