Our 3rd video in our journey along the Llangollen canal with it's stunning scenery and historical locations however it is coming at a cost to our Narrowboat Thistle & Rose!
Hi, we are Rozzie & Rob with our lovely cockapoo's Ralph & Rosie. We have given up the rat race, sold our house and have bought a new narrowboat, Thistle & Rose. Our vlogs are showing our learns as we go from bricks and mortar to life on the water. Join us as we literally learn the ropes of becoming continual cruisers on England's 2500 miles of canals & rivers.
Our vlogs are aimed at being relaxing with showing some beautiful scenery but also ideal if you have ever wondered what it's like to live on a narrowboat or are considering to make the leap and buy your very own narrowboat. There's always some humour, lots of mistakes and always a few drinks being poured. Subscribe to our channel, ask us a question or just watch our videos as there's something for everyone.

Thank you very much for your videos. My wife and I and our two children rented a narrowboat in June 1983 - just a few weeks before our youngest daughter was born. We had a wonderful time, with our 5-year old son helping with all the locks.
I am looking forward to watching some more of your videos now...

What a beautiful area. You had fabulous weather for it which helps, but it looks lovely. Shame the boat got a bit of damage but hopefully it will be easily repaired in due course. Looking forward to the aqueduct drone footage next week - you can always record Chirk on the return journey!!

I think this is your nicest video yet, and they've all been great. Such awesome scenery, and a wonderful choice of music: unintrusive compliment to the natural beauty and sights. Up at 5:30? My, that seems a tad late as dawn is 4:30ish 🙂. But morning is the best time by far, probably less so with extra tourists on the go. Still, come off season it woud be better. Lookin forward to your next blog in this particular stretch. Toodle pips!

😂😂😂 15:50 Fit Like… 😂 … oh that reminds me of Peterheeeed ..😂 … I was stationed up there with the RAF at Buchan in the early 90s … remember the locals speaking with squeaky helium voices….and that was just the men… 😂😂😂😂

The metal cover is for security so no one can try and steal your boat. Not sure a rain cover will work

Hi you said before that you don't give away where you come from in Scotland. On this vlog you gave a clue by saying fit like which is a big clue. I'm on the West Coast but spent years in Morayshire with the RAF. You both certainly enjoy your cruising. Take care.

Those were probably Voles which are protected, they are trying to re introduce them to the British waterways, I live in West Virginia and we have wood rats that were thought extinct almost, and are protected, so not all rats are the same

How do you keep rats and mice off your boat?
Thankfully we've not experienced either. Although I tend to cut all the grass between the bank and the boat once we've moored and keep all rubbish to a minimum etc. I like to think the dogs also help, although they'd both run off! 👍🏻😂 Thanks for watching.

Ouch ! Bad design that .. those instrument should be just inside the boat not outside .
They're ok to be outside as long as they have a proper cover over them, but agree it should have been designed better. Thanks for watching 👍🏻🍻
Good vlog, pity when they built the cover on the clocks they didn’t use hinges the same as side duck hatch, then once unlocked you could just slide the cover off totally best of both worlds then 👍
