    This is exactly what I’ve been looking for. I’ve learned over the years always start with dimensions a little bigger than you want the end product to be you can always take more off. Great job!!

    I made two round carver mallets and have used black walnut and black cherry but they seem to crack on me. What am i doing wrong

    What would be the best wood for blank?. I have cherry walnut and hard maple.

      Well Hard maple will be the most solid, hardest and probably the heavier of the three. Walnut and cherry are a bit softer and lighter. As for turning, all three turn well and you should get a nice result. Thanks for watching.
