    your stare at 07:09 exactly describes why that was the best moment in that entire recording!

    Great stuff as always. When doing sound design latency, PDC and automatic delay compensation isn't really an issue so setting this next option doesn't matter. In project settings -> advanced you can turn on 'Allow feedback in routing' and send the output of a track through a second and back to the first. Use a clipper to protect the ears! Now make a processing audio loop with all sorts of effect plugins like filters, EQ, and reverbs. Change the order of the plugins. Automate. Use multiple tracks all feeding back in different ways to each other. 😄 Nightmare.

    Just in time for Halloween! I'm almost afraid to try this, I can see myself tweaking knobs for hours. And here I thought the only purpose for FreqEcho was the swooshy modulation on the background vocals for "Time" by Pink Floyd. That's all I've ever used it for, anyway. Thanks for the great ideas!

    Might be a beginner question: is there a way to filter field-recorded sounds through these FreqEQ settings in order to turn the field recordings into loops, ascending/descending tones, etc? Thanks!

    • @IDDQDSound
      @IDDQDSound  Před rokem +1

      Yeah definitely. I mean they would use their natural quality and probably sound a bit synthetic, but if that works for you, then yes.
      You could also just find 2 zero crossings on a field recording and then cut the recording on both sides, and then glue and loop them and they should loop seamlessly.

      Well aren't you the lord of edge? Anything is as useful as people who know how to use it, so maybe you're a useless toy. Also this ain't recording dipknob it's sound design. Learn the difference before you talk smack homie.
