The New Ghost Town in GTA 3 Definitive Edition.

- Old Ghost Town was removed in GTA 3 remastered but R* added a new ghost town into the mountains of Shoreside Vale or maybe is a bug, you can check it by youself flying with the dodo to the boundaries of the map.
It will be good if Rockstar made this town reachable without the need of flying the Dodo and tank and give it proper textures, the view is beautiful after all.

From what I've heard there making GTA6 with all the cities from the games plus Europe and London so if that's true then we might get that

With the addition of the homes in the hills, Rockstar could have left ghost town where it was originally, added in more details and make everything back there solid. Once the player beats the game 100% the 2 two tunnels in Shoreside Vale would be unlocked making it possible the travel “upstate”. Maybe could have had one of those houses in the hills be a new safehouse for Claude

The developers would have needed to care about making these remasters being good games, for that to happen.

We need a mod to make the upstate solid, fix the wrong possitions of the houses and add roads and to be connected to the shoreside vale tunnels

I think for the first GTA 3D Rockstar wanted to make these mountains to show to the players they are part of something bigger. If you notice, every map of gta is an island based on a real city. But is strange how they just forget about it in Vice City and make you complety surrounded by the sea.
Swamps called the Gator Keys were supposedly originally planned for Vice City but they decided to cut them out due to timing or budgetry reasons. People claim you can still see the entry point for them on the map.

ghost town is SOMEWHERE, they simply moved it to another location but they hid it somewhere else in the game.

it might be in the interior universe , aka outside missions it never renders ( shows up )

Nope, after I reverse engineered the game, the ghost town seems to be removed after the cutscene mechanisms.
I know they are supposed to be empty areas but GODDAMMIT I WANNA EXPLORE THEM.
All I've wanted is a GTA connected to a mainland. This nation of islands has always been immersion breaking.
Funnily enough, this is what GTA 3 was, Shoreside Vale was the mainland, and there are tunnels leading out of it ( Of course they're blocked off). So unless you fly the Dodo (which isn't easy btw), it's luckily not as immersion breaking as the rest.
Well with flight its impossible. RDR2 only has the non immersion breaking map because you are grounded for the entire game (Barre one mission which is very linear)

That's just bg ... Ghost town was a cutscene location, that you can walk on. It would be fine if you could walk on that shoreside wale unused background but still

Por lo menos agregaron detalles en la zona Mainland Liberty para hacer el juego más realista cuando se la observa desde las otras 3 islas principales. Aún así, pierde la esencia una vez se vuela por la zona, aunque tampoco es Cyberbug 1977, DIGO Cyberbug 2077.
Aunque, por cómo es la comunidad GTA, ya ha de haber gente haciendo mods para corregir los detalles.
Lo que no me gusta es que Rockstar, no puso al unico lugar de gta 3 que tiene montañas y vegetación. Eso en la edicion definitiva debieron agregarlo.

What keys do you use to move it up/down? Nothing works for me in definitive edition
If u are on console u can use the left stick but if u are on pc you must assigne that function to any key that u want
I recommend to use the up and down keys and accelerate with w
I think that the function name's is tower dodo up and tower dodo down

I play with controller on pc and i searched the options in the keys layout and is missing, i hope they add it in future updates

Fun fact is the ghost town is actually left over from the intro and they just placed it far out in the void.

The game reminds me of minecraft, the land looks like it is made of blocks and water texture is hillarious. While I am huge fan of GTA, this is painful to see

There are invisible walls in the sea that doesnt allow u to continue until that point (if u try to go in a boat)
boats are drivable but the invisible walls are most likely disabled so if you try to land on the deck you will fall in water, but who knows maybe it's solid and its possible to land on it and get a colorful boat lol
You can't jump on there and landing on there to check is also almost impossible.
oh huh. so there is a high poly model but it only loads when you're behind the island, hopefully they manages to fix that in a future patch

On November 2022 i bought the game *yes on black friday* and i noticed these lights, at first i did think was the tupical one from a lightfloor but then on day i npticed there was new houses! Was so curious and like *could be carcer city?*
I got there by driving an infernus up the hills behind the dam. Fell through the ground
I know it’s not the original which I wish I kept it in there even with the Newley added hills and l it the house but I do like that they went to the extent to model that area they knew we would visit there again and maybe thought it was a good idea to change it up which I understand but the ghost town would’ve been perfect there just add a some road textures to show how’s it’s reachable to make us question more. But I love the idea regardless
I love Shoreside Vales homes but i wish the mountains had surface ☹️☹️ or do this get unlocked after *the Exchange*

What a fucking insult to everyone who enjoyed the original games and bought the definitive edition. How could you remove the 1 legendary thing that made GTA3 so fun and memorable? The ghost town. I don't know why I got my hopes up, but I thought they'd pay homage to the ghost town and leave it where it belongs.
Especially after seeing the opening cutscene, and how the cars were still driven by themselves with no drivers, I thought "Oh cool, they're leaving the game the same, and not trying to 'fix' the shortcomings that made the original game what it was." But nope. Remove the one fucking thing that made me excited for this piece of shit edition. I'll be going back to my original version now.
