Yes sir.
Hey vadim m in the warriors peds calling police happens when you do a crime do you think the code for gta 3 was cut but later reused in the warriors or did the warriors use a different type of code?
Make Why Gta San Andreas remastered is gabage Part 2
6:18 this one was removed because rockstar was forced to tone down the violence. The wanted stars had to always pop up
crazy how 20 years later the community still finds new cut content in the game
This all existed years ago on forums.
These guys just break it down into a format people enjoy.
Its actually extremely rare to find something unknown.
Dev's leak stuff afterall
Idont why they had to remove it from The game

@@jbiehlable I think it fits Mafia, to be honest... but in GTA It’d just annoying.
@@TNOFanZacharie agreed.
@@TNOFanZacharie Plus the cops in GTA are well Police Brutality in every game, the older it is the less shits the cops give about the geneva conventions. In Mafia, while they are pretty hard high up (Just try to live with 4 stars in the 1940s) you can easily deal with them just by keeping speeding
GTA V did it and thats why their cops are trash
Perhaps they added the "comedy" controls for a mission that would involve Claude and a passenger who did not want to be there and tried to take control of Claude's steering wheel.
Kind of like that one kidnapping mission in GTA:IV with the pink convertible.
The Mission was called ''I'll take her'' By the way IN GTA IV :)
My guess is that it was to simulate drunk driving. Why comedy? No clue - they probably just thought it was funny to drive around with the poor controls.
In GTA V as well. That mission where Franklin steals the James Bond's car.
i think it was likely a cheat code that wasn’t as funny as they hoped it’d be

Funny thing is, the "Ped crime witness" system was actually making it's way on another Rockstar game, the videogame adaptation of The Warriors few years later.
And then later into RDR2.
Ubisoft's Watch Dogs
I feel like that ped cinematic camera could have been used for the trailer shots. I would love to see a Part 2 fella, cheers.
Imagine if the advertisement loading screens remained in GTA 3.
There would be an alternate history for GTA which each entry in the series would have adverts for loading screens. o.O
Don't some exist in the gta v loading screen ?
The comedy control was probably created to simulate a belligerent passenger fighting with you and making the car nearly uncontrollable. Similar to the mission in GTAIV
Justice come to me mothernibber
the concept of civilians calling police was featured in another rockstar game from 2005 called the warriors and it worked quite well. one of my all time favourite games btw
Maybe the comedy controls involve a mission where Claude is drugged or drunk
I thought his name was tommy or tony or somethin 🤷
@InevitableOption-ic2vx thanks 👍
Maybe the “insult” button would work similar to the (negative) “taunt” button in the Saints Row series does?
So after you “insult” an NPC they get angry at you and insult you back and/or attack you.
This game always has a place in my heart. It's hard as hell yet so simple and yes, nostalgic.
"Comedy control" looks like drunk driving.
It’s always a great day when Vadim M uploads a video.
9:00 i think the safest bet is that is called comedy controls because the car was broken due of a prank, or the player would be unintentionally high/drunk while driving at some point
the ''car comedy control'' it's not a anti-piracy measure?
I think that cinematic camera was for taking screenshots for the magazines.
They used another feature for thaat, you can see it in the GTA 3 debug stuff video
It's really interesting how we still find a cut content in this almost 20 years old game.
None of this is new
Gta III was a game ahead of it's time, I wish they just make a Remaster of the 3D universe.

@@Araneus21 yeah the variable names in the source code kinda explain their relationship to their job
@@antisocialvigilante7697 please explain , what do you mean ?
@@rds3593 like how some in-game assets seems to be named by someone who hates their job lol. For example CJ’s house’s interior is named “carls crap” in the in-game files of gta sa and the sunken ships in vice city are named something like “seabed shit”. Maybe the developers were just being goofy but it’s also possible that they were stressed out and overworked like most of these coders usually are 😖
@@mikehawk6175 oh , but to explain what you are talking about . same can be seen in gta vice city also like the car ruins are named as "car fu*ked_up" also some objects are named as "sh*t" in gta vice city . this is just a little humour by rockstargames in both gta vice city and san andreas
The car mines strongly remind me of the vehicle mines that can be used in GTA 2. I would actually expect that this would indeed have been a feature that you could install in your car by entering a garage like 8-Ball's. It's used in GTA 2 to get rid of pursuers so I'd personally expect that to be the case in GTA 3, too.
About the comedy controls, I think it could be for a mission where you're driving a car while someone keeps trying to take control of the wheel. There's a mission in GTA 5 where something similar happens.
The adverts as loading screens. I've seen this before, but I just can't remember where. Don't Bethesda games do this?
Fallout 3 and New Vegas have loading screens that focus on in-universe adverts, yeah. Though I don't believe it was *every* loading screen.
That foot cinematic camera looks so great
I just started to play GTA III yesterday. And then i get this message in my box hahaha. Nice coincidence :D
CZcams admits they track everything we do aka Cookies files
Very awesome video! The drop-mine-thingy highly reminds me of the "Stop the truck" mission from Driver 2, which works pretty much the same way. And the removed red light / speeding crimes reminds me of the first Driver games as well as they do have these crimes implemented into the game!
Makes me wonder how much the devs were influenced by Driver and tried to mimic the game to that effect.
Maybe the Comedy Controllers worked when you were drunk?
that could make sense, since theres a unused drinking animating in the PS2 files

@@tehogvirgin3664 can u send me the video with this animation i didn't knew that s h i t
Well I guess they kept the 'car mine' feature in Vice City where you had to chase the hearse
It's awesome that you're still poring over the details of GTA3. Keep these videos coming, they're fascinating!
Always love these videos! Thanks for the extra trivia Vadim, and excellent narration as usual Badger!
GTA2's Pay & Spray was in essence a Pay & Strip Mall where you could equip a car with drop mines and forward-mounted guns. Since the police boat has forward-mounted guns, they might have also considered adding it as well.
Streets of Simcity
Yeah, the bombs could be used for those. To lay bombs, but it would not make sense. So, they scrapped it.
'Comedy control' sounds like a situation similar to Claud vs CJ raceoff and how Catalina was doing you know what to Claud throughout the race.
I believe the comedy control thing is from a cut mission. In GTA 4, there’s a mission where Niko essentially kidnaps somebody, and they keep pulling on the steering wheel to stop Niko. I believe the same time of mission was related to this “comedy control” code. Perhaps a similar mission used to be in GTA 3?
Much much respect to you man.. Pls never stop on uploading vids.. Thankyou soo much for making these kind of videos...
shout out badger and vadim for giving us this quality content! :)
I love every Video that Vadim M produces. Idc if it takes like months to make, the final result is always pleasing
bro, your production value is sooo high! Keep up the great work!
Love the videos! Peds running to payphones was a small feature used in "The Warriors" which was released a few years after GTA.
The "mission where you chase a car dropping explosive mines" is basically Two Bit Hit from the later GTAVC, where a Romero Hearse will drop explosive coffins at you.
The Comedy Controls remind me of how the Tommy´s driving skills are affected during Phil´s mission "Boomshine Saigon".
Given how much of GTAIII concepts made it into GTAVC, i guess they didnt had time to finish them or just decided to re-take the ideas for the next game
Was worth the wait. Thanks, Vadim!
FINALLY A NEW VIDEO ON THIS TOPIC! THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!
I was just thinking about your videos yesterday. Glad you uploaded

5:00 would have been insanely ahead of its time 😓
Thanks bro I been waiting for ever!!!!
This is a pretty cool video and I can see how these unfinished/removed ideas were developed for later titles. We know rockstar's spaghetti code shares content from previous games so its very likely that what you talked about today in the vid are "beta" features of other games.
@0:26 This seems like early code development seen in gtasa.
@4:56 ...early code development for the witness feature in their Red Dead games.
@7:19 ...early code development for drunk driving, although only the weird steering part you discuss not the acceleration issue.
@21:08 ...early code development for pedestrian cinematics in later titles.
@23:43 I remember a lot of these cars. I'm not sure they were cut. Perhaps them both spawning at the same time is the part you're refering to being cut but I remember the manana, the mule, and the bus with an alarm in my game. (Ordinary American PS2 version.)
The "comedy controls" almost seem like drunk driving from GTA 4 and 5... maybe they intended for bars to be an activity, or maybe it was just for a mission?
Just like "Boomshine saigon" in GTAVC
It’s been 87 years....
I just realized... the Donald Love, Love Media ad at 11:44, I believe it's actually heard BY Donald Love himself if you listen to Chatterbox. I'm pretty sure everyone knew that but I thought it was interesting. This was an AMAZING video Vadim! Love hearing Badger's narration as well.
Dude I love and appreciate all content you doing for us
2:18 This is literally the proximity mines in GTA Online ,guess Rockstar did bring them back after all after almost a decade and a half
After 19 years people still find cut beta features in this amazing game, that’s nice to see, Gta 3 is definitely one of my favorite games because it was the first Gta game I’ve played, and it’s still enjoyable to play to this day because you know how to deal with everything without getting mad at the game,
It’s fun to fly the dodo because you feel like a god because it’s more challenging than flying a plane in Gta V 😂

GTA 3 hasn’t been talked about much, it’s great seeing you making a video on the cut features!
Excuse me yes it has been talked about a LOT

Funny how in GTAIII, peds would have used a payphone to call the police. A little over 10 years later, in GTAV, peds use their cellphones instead.

It's good to know the community is still active despite it's been 19 years since the game came out. btw badger's sound is so soothing.
I have never clicked so fast in my life.
"comedy controls" perhaps because it was to simulate being drunk?
Just a theory. But if that is the case, then it's easy to see why it wouldn't make it into the final game. A lot of governments would get really triggered about a game that would allow the player to drive drunk into pedestrians, etc.

It's funny how the witness function was added to red dead redemption 2, but still has the obvious flaw of another witness for your witness disposal, making it a wild never ending chase of witnesses
In GTA V, they made the crime report feature perfectly. I thought it was the first game in the Gta series to do that. Didn't knew GTA III had it ages ago.
That face kinda gave me chills. It would be cool if someone will make a mod of the face statue or the buskers playing

Those taxi sub missions were implemented on Gta Vice City Stories. During doing these missions, you will be ordered to several special tasks and missions(Sub missions) in the taxi job. The passenger is either a robber or he is being chased by someone.
That feature made VCS one of the best Gta games ever but sadly, underrated.
