This is gonna be an essay so prepare yourself if you wanna read through it all -- I think this is my favorite edit I've ever made. The finale for The Walking Dead was epic and beautiful. The best episode of the series. This is the first time I have ever fully sobbed while making a video, and I actually had to stop a few times so I wouldn't get tears on my computer. This show means so much to me. I started watching it in 2013, and seeing video edits for it on CZcams at that time is what inspired me to start video editing. I have made incredible friends through this show, and so many of the stories and characters have had such a deep impact on me. I've driven out to Senoia twice to visit the museum and filming locations, and dined at Nic & Norman's. My bookshelves are full of memorabilia and my poor bank account has been suffering for months with all the new releases on TWDU shop website.
I am very much looking forward to the rest of TWD universe to come. Dead City, Fear TWD Season 8, Daryl's show, Rick & Michonne's show, hopefully a tie in for some more TWD World Beyond, maybe even a Tales of TWD Season 2 (give us Magna's group flashback episodes I demand it). But the fact that the main show - that storyline and almost all of those characters, have finally concluded - that hasn't fully hit me yet. Maybe never will.
12 years and 177 episodes. All of my love and biggest thank you to the amazing cast and crew that put so much hard work into making this show. Thank you to Robert Kirkman for creating the comics with all of these amazing storylines and characters. Thank you to Andy Lincoln and Lauren Cohan for playing two of my favorite characters of all time, I cannot wait to see more of them in the spinoffs. And thank you to Nadia Hilker and Eleanor Matsuura for fighting so hard to give Magna & Yumiko a happy ending, that means the world to me and so many others.
I could keep going for a few thousand more words but I think I will just leave it at - I love this show, I love editing this show, and I'm really going to miss seeing new episodes every Sunday. I hope everyone enjoyed watching the finale and is getting ready for TWDU to expand next year. I will be making a tribute edit for this show to have up by the end of the year, and will try to refrain from writing yet another essay about my love and appreciation for the show in that caption as well, but I'm probably gonna do it anyways.

What a great finale and what a great video. I'm really glad they got their happy ending after all and really sad about Rosita, but Christian wanted that for the character so who am I to say she was wrong.
my feelings exactly. im completely heartbroken about rosita but i definitely see christians perspective on it and agree with it. i think rositas death was really well done and added a great aspect to the finale. it was all really beautiful

I honestly think the final was the absolute best ending they could have done. And I know people say the ending was just to set up the spin-offs but not really cuz I’m glad everyone got a happy ending and depending on how u look at it Daryl riding off into the sunset or Daryl riding off to go find Rick and somehow ends up in France but ya this was a great finale and a great video absolutely amazing

At the end I was hoping that maybe before Daryl sets off on the motorcycle, Michonne and Rick might suddenly appear and then they hug Daryl and that it would be really emotional because Judith also sees her father again
