A desert close to an ocean has a lot of life because the humidity ends up arriving at the beginning of the day when during the night the atmosphere cooled and this humidity, blown by the wind, enters the desert providing water that allows condensation on everything it touches.
Thus, like the Namib Desert, only the coastal strip of this desert receives water in any quantity but it triggers an entire ecology that feeds the areas furthest from the coast creating a lot of life considering that it is a desert.
Yes, you are right, deserts have a lot of life.
On the other hand, the dust coming from the desert ends up fertilizing the sea coast and ending up in the sea, in fact it even crosses the Atlantic Ocean until it nourishes the Amazon itself by tons.
In certain atmospherical wind corridors, the humidity itself represents a quantity of water higher than that can be found in the Amazon River.
This exchange of water and dust from one side of the Atlantic Ocean to the other is something that could come to an end if man changes this balance too quickly for him to adapt to a climate failure for a year or two that affects cereal harvests for example due to the change in the current of hot and cold waters on this beautiful planet.
How lucky you are to enjoy the whole life of these trips or, better yet, life trip, enjoying Nature and its animals.
You do well to explain the tourist rules in relation to animals and Nature as it is very important to understand that simple acts such as routinely feeding wild animals or abandon the trash somehow always wll unbalance the delicate ecology.

While that is true, vibrant deserts also exist far away from the coast. Northern Sonoran desert in southwestern Arizona has some of the lushest deserts and it's hundreds of miles from the Sea of Cortez. It just tells you that there are many more factors to the flora and fauna of deserts than just proximity to the coast. Case and point, Western Sahara south of Morocco is right on the coast of the Atlantic and it is much more barren.

You are correct. Many interior deserts have extensive aquifers at a short distance from the surface, but I didn't know about the example of Morocco that you gave and, being coastal, I think it will be due to some permanent air current that prevents the coastal humidity from covering it.
But I calculate that even though some deserts have neither aquifers, nor groundwater, nor coastal humidity, life can still exist there, such is its resilience..
Well, deep down we humans are the product of millions of years of resilient species and I think that life finds ways of existence that defy the chemical logic of the law of conservation of energy that life stubbornly spends trying to perpetuate itself.
I don't know if I'm correct, but it seemed to me that I had knowledge somewhere that the chlorophyll itself produced through the cells of plant leaves could take quantum advantage of a photon of light in which this, at the same time and against all the logic of macro physics, could serve multiple cells at the same time.
Just yesterday there was a tremendous wind when I went to the window and I saw a butterfly that barely weighs flying perfectly against the wind but in zigzags while avoiding tree leaves that were certainly heavier than it and which were being carried by the same wind.
