You mentioned about the horn side being good for Elsha, but the actual Birgi side is useful as well as she combos with sensei's divining top and Elsha to draw your library

Also, with helm of awakening, this will net infinite red mana, if required.
Although not Cedh, Zada will definitely enjoy having this join the 99 :)
Amazing analysis as always. I totally agree that this is possibly the best monored commander for cEDH.
You can also generate a lot of mana with Birgi, then sacrifice it to Infernal Plunge, then recast it as the horn side to then keep digging through the deck.

In the ideal world she can win turn one, Say opening hand is jeweled lotus, mana crypt , land drop, mystic forge, sensei's top,you can jeweled lotus for her, mana crypt and make a red, land drop for 4 mana, cast mystic forge make a red off birgi, spend that red cast top have a red floating, then repeatedly draw your deck with top (Since every time you cast a top you have a red to pay for itself then when its all said and done you have a red floating). Then with the one red you can rite of flame have three red mana , into jeska's will into some more ramp wincon out somehow(You have your whole deck in your hand and a bunch of mana you should be able to find a win).
Seem's to be an interesting commander that I definitely want to test out.

I had built Syr Carah Storm a long time ago, and Birgi is just straight up replacing her completely. I do believe both sides will be good in the deck, and using cards like sculpting steel or heat shimmer, you’re able to have both sides in play (ex. Heat shimmer Birgi, keep the token copy, cast the horn side from the command zone, or vise versa with Sculpting steel). Either way, can’t wait to see this card in action!
i just bought 8 as an investment, this card will blow up in value.
damn I just took a look at its price. Yeah it is really cheeap.
God of Storytelling seems appropriate for a commander that makes you stall the game in a never ending turn just playing by yourself.
If you are a beginner that could really happen. But beginners shoulden't play storm.

Really curious to see if this cart will dethrone Godo as the best mono red commander, the only unfortunate side is that you can't have both the creature and the artifact in play at the same time. But still, an impressive card

I have a Syr Carah storm brew that I have made and been tweaking for while now and this card in my play testing is one of the best cards in the deck. It might make the deck a lot more powerful by giving it combo potential with cards it already wants in the deck. I don't think it is super cedh viable (especially because my version is budget) but I could see the potential of Syr Carah in cedh
You have to do a review of Koll , The Forgemaster!
There's already a ton of combo lines found for him and he's super cheap to ramp out!
I have him on my list. But now that time has gone by I am thinking about maybe do a deck tech for him instead. but he is on the list. it is just such a long list.
That goes directly in my casual Purphoros deck. Another way to get Infinite Etb's with Grinning Ingus or with two 1 Drops + Cloudstone Curio
yes this is a card purphoros should definatly play.
I have a neheb dreadhorde horde list that wins consistently turn 2-4 in a vacuum this commander reminds me of said list i agree this is the strongest card of this set as a storm player ill enjoy brewing her
I think this card also slots into korvold very well. The boundless discard to draw more cards is so powerful

Also kind of aids in a pseudo-storm line. Just depends on which win con is easiest for you at the moment.
Jhoira storm with Birgi might be a good start, as the 0 cmc artifacts will net red mana while drawing the deck.
You should do a review and that of Orvar the all changing.
I think it could be a really unique commander with some cEDH applicability.
I’ve already constructed a storm list making use of birgi and not caring about the horn whatsoever. I’ve consistently stormed off turns 2-4 pretty much 80% of the time. I’ve been playing a lot of simulation games with this and it’s crazy fast. I even had a game that I stormed off on turn 1!
Do you have a decklist to share? I am looking for inspiration. This is something I wanna build myself.
@@cedhtv of course! Give me just a moment. It is fairly glass cannon-y but it’s quite consistent. Pulling off the combo between turns 2-4 often and even seeing turn 1 wins from time to time

Thoughts on birgi in 99 of a Jeska/Drago? Since the majority of the spells are 0 costed anyway and can help out to get mana on one side but also adds another card draw to help dig for your combo pieces.
Seems like you could make a viable eggs deck. Top + a cost reducer lets you exile your deck with horn

@@cedhtv Probably until they print great dwarves with great tap abilities the deck won't have much legs and us magda players figure out a good base for the deck. Guess I have to wait and see what is next for dwarves hopefully they print some good ones in the dnd set!
