Two past incarnations of the Doctor unite outside of time and space to fight a common enemy - their oldest enemy - in the first of an explosive new full-cast audio drama series.

The Cathedral of Contemplation is an enigma, existing outside time. It turns through history, opening its doors across the universe to offer solace to those in need.
Occasionally, the Doctor drops in - when he's avoiding his destiny, it’s an ideal place to get some perspective. Only, he's already there several lives earlier, so when dimension barriers break down, his past and present collide.
And when the Daleks invade and commandeer the Cathedral, two Doctors must unite to stop them - or face extermination twice over!
Of being a boyhood Doctor Who fan, actor David Tennant said: “Tom Baker was obviously the first Doctor that I knew. I was small when he took over and I grew up through the seven years that he was the Doctor. I was a massive fan. I met him in John Menzies in Glasgow and he signed my book. I had a doll of him. All that. Tom Baker was very much the Doctor. There is something about the way he is associated with the character that seems utterly timeless.”
Writer Matt Fitton said: “Of course it was hugely exciting - with a certain amount of pressure too - to bring together two of the most iconic Doctors, cemented in the public imagination from new and classic TV eras of Doctor Who. I thought putting them up against the Daleks - the Doctor's most persistent enemy - would bring out all the ways in which they are at once the same Time Lord - and also very different versions too. We find them both at particular points in their lives. The Tenth Doctor is avoiding his destiny; and the Fourth Doctor is wandering alone, missing a friend - but even he may be shocked at what his future holds...”
Producer David Richardson added: “As fans we’re fascinated by the idea of different incarnations of the Doctor meeting, and Out of Time celebrates that. It’s a series where pairs of Doctors come together to battle a familiar enemy - and we begin with Tom Baker and David Tennant battling Daleks together. How brilliant is that? This story is incredible. Baker, Tennant, the writing, the musical score.. absolutely fantastic.
Between this team up and Christpher Ecleston's return I don't even have the words Big Finish.

Doctor Who but it's paper Mario...Jokes aside this looks amazing, the two most iconic Doctors together against the most iconic villain.

both of which were laid up for part of their first story, introduce davros to the series, married a member of the cast, had 2 versions of the master during there tenure, reintroduced the Cybermen after a lengthy break and a rather big fall in their final story

I want to hear 3&4 together (Sean Pertwee or Jon Culshaw as The Third Doctor) or, more realistically given both are alive and recording for Big Finish, 9&10. Can you imagine Eccleston and Tennant together?!?! 9 annoyed that 10 gets to benefit from Nine’s actions to fix the acts of The War Doctor and the high council led by both Time War versions of Rassilon (Richard Armitage and Timothy Dalton)

@Cyber Womble It's true, and if the tab gets broken and the backspace can't be fixed, one can enter a store to buy a new one or shift some pieces to improvise. When in doubt, I always press f1 for help, Google always provides some of their best monkeys. If those smart animals can fix the internet, they can fix a tab.

A multi-Doctor audio adventure, featuring two of my favourite incarnations teaming up against the Daleks: it's a dream come true. I call it a nostalgic love letter to Whovians, old and new alike, with a magnificent script and amazing acting.
The Weetabix homage, the modern Supreme with classic Daleks, the Character Options 4th Doctor TARDIS, this is definitely going to be my first Big Finish

I was worried about this just been a "they don't really meet" adventure. But the fact that when they meet it wasn't just "here's references" it was proper discussions about what it means to be "The Doctor".
10 is in a bad space mentally and is still very much drinking the "Time Lord Victorious" Kool Aid.
That final discussion where 4 and 10 just talk... I was crying at work because of it. Bloody Big Finish *shakes fist*.

10 confirming that Romana and 4 were "a Thing" really made me smile. A genuine smile.
For me The Doctor could only truly love another person of his race.
And just hearing 10 talk about it in that way really made me... Nostalgic.
Even though I was born in '89 so I never saw it "live" hahaha.
I have still to listen to it (even get it), but it's nice to know they bring up that thing about 4 and Romana, as Tom and Lalla were once married in real-life. (not that she wants to be reminded of that, but still...)

No companions? I always feel they are overlooked in these multi Doctor stories. Seeing Donna or Martha with some of Tom Bakers companions would be really great.
Well, the Tenth was without companions, at the time, as this was after Waters of Mars and before the End of Time.
My first Big Finish experience and won't be the last. Thoroughly enjoyed it! Amazing that this is recorded from the homes of the actors under lockdown! Fantastic cast and crew.

I was a little scared everyone was just gonna phone this one in, but I was definitely pleasantly surprised. Less so a multi-Doctor story as it is just a classic Dalek story. Certainly not bad though!

The best way to bring Doctors from different generations together. David's 10th Doctor took off before Matt's 11th met up with Tom's 4th (The Curator) in "Day of the Doctor"; here they're together as contemporaries in a joint adventure. With the regular series delayed for now, it's a great way for people to get a fresh Doctor fix. And any time the magnificent Tom Baker is heard is always a pleasure.

If I had the money this would definitely be my first big finish audio two of my favourite Doctors and two of my favourite Dalek design all in the same story just phenomenal
10 is certainly in this, but the story "One Mile Down" feels like it'd fit in perfectly with the tone and style of series 4 if you want something more akin to the TV show. "Night of The Vashda Nerada" is also a great 4th Doctor story done in a more modern style, but with the 4th Doctor practically picked right out of the 70s.
Out of Time is pretty good, but if you're short on money, those are (imo) better first time showcases of The Doctors, that'll bring you right back to their eras

Finally, two worlds collide.... two sides of the same coin... two objects in the same game board and... the laws of celestial mechanics dictate that when two objects collide, there is always damage of a collateral nature. No, hold on, sorry... that's the Sherlock Holmes movie. But the point still stands! Jelly babies and banana daiquiris are a must for this story!

maybe I have ADHD but often I find it hard to concentrate on just audio without a visual component to lock onto
I think that's held me back from listening to more BigFinish more than anything else
Do something with your hands. I only listen to big finish when I’m cleaning, cooking or working in my garden. You can also do some manual hobby activities.
English in not my first language so I also had problem with concentration but it really helps me focus. Never do nothing (your mind will wonder) and never do too much (you’ll lose your focus).
Now big finish and Eighth are my favourite Doctor Who :)

It's a shame that the Audio's have totally shot ahead of the TV series and appear to be of much higher quality. The TV series is just stagnating under Chibnall. Ecclestons return also an example of this.
