My mother and aunt worked for her for several years and they loved her. I only met her a few times when I was around 13 or 14 and she was extremely sweet and respectful. Sometimes my mom would come home with piles and piles of clothes given to her by Gabriela Sabatini. This all happened around 15 years ago but my mother still talks about her and her family with nothing but great things to say about them. I am very happy for her success and after getting to know her and seeing how she was my mother, I am sure all that success is well deserved. Beautiful person.
Indeed, very well loved here in Argentina--I even think she should be loved more. In this country, people tend to adore the wrong idols sometimes. She´s always been humble and sweet, very private -something that you have to respect-, and something else: She does a lot of charity, in an anonymous way. Great girl, who deserves all my respect--and should get the respect of everyone, don´t you think? Cheers ;-)
Obviously, Gabby was beautiful on the outside, but people should also know how beautiful she was on the inside. Case in point: When fellow tour player Monica Seles was stabbed and it took Seles 2-1/2 years to return to the tour, every single tour player voted that Seles NOT be allowed to retain her #1 pre-stabbing ranking (including Graf and Navratilova) on her return (in other words, have no ranking and have to earn all her computer points back), EXCEPT one player: Gabriela Sabatini. Gabby knew that these were circumstances beyond anyone's control and that it was the fairest, most humane way to treat Seles on her return. This goodhearted nature and empathy, even for her rivals, was why Gabby was/is so loved by many all over the world! God Bless Gabby!!
I saw her being interviewed on TV at Wimbledon and she seemed very self conscious, and yet the next time saw her flashing that fantastic Latin smile, looking full of confidence. She's a sweetheart, and I wish her every happiness with whoever makes her happy.
I guess Im asking the wrong place but does anybody know a trick to get back into an instagram account? I stupidly lost the account password. I appreciate any tips you can give me!
@@bobby1968100 The biggest champ was Monika Seles from Yugoslavia, Germans had to stub her with a knife in the back to stop her and clear way for Stephanie Graf. Such a disgrace.
@Max E German are "funny". They use to pull kids out from schools, lined them up and gun them down in WW2 in Serbia. In one day they gunned down around 3000 civilians including some 300 school kids (21. October 1941in Kragujevac).
I remember being in the electronics section of a dept store some time in the late 80s and stopping in front of a large TV showing a tennis match between Steffi Graff and Gabriella Sabatinni. I was just amazed at these two beautiful young women gliding back and forth on those gorgeous legs. I suddenly looked around me and realized they were 4 or 5 other men standing there staring transfixed at the screens.
I met Gaby in Melbourne in 1992. Not only was she beautiful, but she was a friendly lady as well. Since then, I started rooting for Gaby. I saw her first round in 1995 in Melbourne, and was shocked she was eliminated then. I got a beautiful kitten in Aug 1996 and named her Gaby. My Gaby was beautiful, but not as friendly as original Gaby. I still remember both fondly. If she had had killer's instinct like Graf, Gaby would have a few more Grand Slam titles, at least 1991 Wimbledon, but I like her the way she is.
I was a huge fan of Gabby and watching her floating on the tennis court with grace was a thing of beauty. She retired so young but looks to be at peace. She is still beautiful as ever. God bless.
My goodness, such a gorgeous woman. That 1993 French Open loss to Mary Joe probably still hurts her fans to this day. I would hope she has gotten over it, even if it crosses her mind once in a while.
I thought she was beautiful in the 80's and 90's when she was playing. That was *nothing* to how stunning and enchanting she looks now a bit older. I only read good things about her personality as well, which just ices the cake.
And to think she walked right towards me to retrieve a ball during a practice and looked up at me back in Miami in 1994. Literally hundreds of people followed her every move there.
SHE´S UNIQUE. SHE BROUGHT GLAMOUR TO TENNIS AND HER TECHNIQUE WAS SUPERB. I CAN´T BELIEVE CONCHITA AND ARANTXA WERE NUMBER ONE AND SHE DIDN´T. THIS THINGS HAPPEN BUT WHO CARES. SHE IS STILL ONE OF THE MORE CHARISMATIC AND LOVED WOMAN ON TENNIS.
She is so gorgeous!❤ I’ve always thought she was pretty, but WOW!!! She’s incredibly beautiful today! I loved watching her play, she was such a great athlete during her time on the court. I’ve always thought that she should’ve won more grand slam titles because she was so good of a player.
Let's not forget: She DID play 11 years, and retire without a serious injury. So she does not have the constant pain that for example Tracy Austin has in her shoulder,/upper arm. She can actually have a good life rather than one of pain and repeated surgery. That's admirable. You could say noble
Winning that US Open against Steffi Graff at in her unbeatable prime was the one if the greatest female Grand Slam wins of all time......it was such a tough match.......she really deserved her Grand Slam. X
Steffi was not in her unbeatable prime from spring 1990 until the end of 1991. Won only 1 of 9 major tournaments (slams, YECs) during that time (but 9 of 11 from 1988 until winter 1990).
always good to see a girl transformed into a beautiful woman. She was a very interesting player because she did not have a great service, yet compensated that in many other departments of the game , specifically backhand and volley.

A stunningly attractive woman. I always wondered about her sexuality. I cannot find details of ever having been married and her demeanour suggests she may prefer the ladies.

@@JesusChristISTHEONETRUEGOD You're very wrong about Steffi. She was gorgeous. Look for pictures or videos of her at the time she started dating Andre.
From what I gather she's a pretty good singer, and I know record companies were sending out signals of interest in the '80's, but I think that would have been even more publicised than tennis. She was always uncomfortable with the media and it showed. Peace love & equality.
