thanks for the detailed amazing mold putty demonstration! 💞 great job with chihiro, esp. for 1st time 💗 I'm not sure if it would solve the stain problem, (not that acv wasnt a good one too!) but I've used crayola watercolor pans (bc so cheap) with success. easy to mix, easy to layer for grime. not sure if it would be too light to get right 1st try tho.
If you have small hands like mine, the medium gloves at Harbor Freight fit beautifully. The rubber gloves come in 3 different weights, 100pr per box. They also carry a similar product at GFS😊
That sculpture felt like it was killing me I kept touching parts of it and smooshing them and then trying to fix it 😁 but it was super worth it in the end! I was so happy I could finish it
Have you tried using a paint wash. Paint wash seems like it would be easier just mix paint with water and then you take paper towel and you dab off of some of the paint washed. I'm also a big fan of Spirit Away this was my very first movie that i ever saw of Studio Ghibli and got me started on the track of Studio Ghibli movies
So I'm nearly finished on my attempt of the Monsterbash monster, I used Sculpey and was worried it was going to be hard to use, (given your comment on the Monster's Inc video) but it went on really well, but that said I don't think i'd be able to make that detailed a Chihiro, especially with a cuticle presser!! Well done!
Well you'll never know if you dont try! Plus, failure is the best tool to push growth and make you better. So there is no downside!! (Want a behind the scenes piece of trivia? That wasn't MissMini's first try, either!)
Great build and new techniques to try. I haven't seen anyone try to mold plastic like that without a vacuum table so I'll definitely keep that in mind. I need to cheaply stain some craft wood for a gift, but it seems like I could get away with using paper towels + water instead of baby wipes since I think that's all they pretty much are. Quick feedback: I noticed some "background fuzziness" during the voiceovers (which makes it easier to tell when the audio is cut up). If the background noise can get cleaned up, it should make things sound smoother.
The video was so relaxing to watch :) very calming music (+ voice) and visuals - it turned out super cool :) .oh and to stain the wood you could also try just using watered down acrylic :)
Gorgeous! I love the quiet calmness of these build videos. How does that thicker chipboard do under a paper cutter? Like the kind with a rotary blade? Maybe it's just me, but it seems like your audio quality has gotten a real boost recently as well.

Thank you!😁 It’s called Super Sculpy. Sculpey makes a lot of clays but this one doesn’t have any numbers or anything after the name and it only comes in this pink color. This one has to be baked in an oven at like 275 Fahrenheit. You can get it on Amazon if you are in the us not sure about everywhere else. But I got it at a local art supply store. Hope that helps!

I think you did a good job, especially for your first try. Don’t expect perfection right away. All skills take practice.
