Damn Brandon must’ve really pissed y’all off😂. Dude got all his throwback footage cut too. Ain’t the same without him
Love this build great color wheels and power train choice.
Really love this build, square body's forever!!
Should have repainted the firewall.
I'd love to see a 88-98 OBS Chevy done like this! 😃
I'm just taking a moment to appreciate the amount of skill and knowledge about how to literally rebuild an entire vehicle. Truly special stuff here!
This and the Caprice, ya'll definitely got my attention. Love all the builds but these 2 are near and dear. Lot of experience with both models.
Get you some mad dog headers on that truck, that will solve the problem with clearance issues and power
Great job guys I love the truck and how the build is turning out very cool 😎
You gotta luv how they worked to replace parts and get it in "tip top shape" to try it out...And then proceded to rip it completely apart and use none of it. But then that's what they are payed to do and they mostly get parts given for ads. Oh well, like the build. Must be nice to have unlimited funds for something like this. 👌👌
A Simon and Simon Power Wagon build would be a cool project to do, with a Cummins.
I like the builds you guys do. Even if some aren’t my style I appreciate the work that you put into them. I’ve been a collision repair tech and instructor for my entire career.
BUT I really don’t understand doing all the prep and paint work and NOT painting the firewall and lower dash with it all already apart.
Sorry Brandon left but I’m sure he will do fine and the new guy will be great also.
They are just glorified part changers.

Painted the frame, but not the firewall 🤨
Great job loved the build.
nice 👌
He said he wants to use as much of the exhaust kit as possible. Then only uses the headers.
They also ran dual exhaust to the rear axle then used a Y pipe into a single exhaust turndown for some reason. They could have just ran a Y collector pipe into a single and ran it out without any issues if they were gonna just merge them anyway in the rear. If you already had dual pipes that far back why not just finish it and run both out?
Every time he says copper-nickel take a drink
The 2 1'2" exh are well proven to be the most efficient dia plus fit is easier.
Shows friend truck “yeah, we replaced everything on the truck and painted it”. Friend “why isn’t the firewall painted?” Response “oh because it looks like it came from the factory”.
Yea, with the patina and surface rust in areas.
when are you going to show the K-10 Square Body update
Willwood master, flaming river steering column, reuses the AC Evap core 🤣🤣🤣🤣What's the matter couldn't find a parts warehouse to sponsor a new one?
Especially after spending over $20,000 on a set of crate axles that were built to g in the Jeep JK.
Why not paint the firewall they had it stripped down
Can you use that copper nickel tubing for transmission lines? I wouldnt mind making some extra lines for my truck and if this works it would be so much easier
Yes
My monte and firebird and the c10 I did last year and the s10 I did thus year all have copper
When are you going to be finished?
Paint the firewall , there's nothing worse than seeing a nasty firewall when absolutely everything else has been ordered from a magazine and our reconditioned and painted. Makes absolutely no sense.
That’s what I said on the last video. Just seems lazy.
“I decided not to paint the firewall because it’s pretty much how it would look from the factory “? Dude it’s not even the same color as the fresh paint on the body. And I guess that freshly blasted and painted frame looks just like it came from the factory too? Give me a break Mark. We all know that body work is your least favorite thing to do but don’t get lazy or cheap on us.
Not the first time they did partial work. They had an OBS Chevy truck and refurbished everything but the interior so when it came to the money shot you could see the headliner hanging down 👎🏼🤷🏻🤦🏻
@@tristannivens3269
just like reusing a used brake boost after the spent $20,000 on a crate axle. The boost will fail trying to run those disk brakes.
@@kbakeritsallaboutnobody.5761 It's funny how all these hosts are nothing more than glorified part changers.
They listed everything except the tube flaring tool... LOL ! I like that one, it looks heavy duty. Does anyone know what kind that one is ??
Looks like one from Mastercool. I have the Mastercool, it will do 45, 37, and factory style fittings with the right die. I mainly use it on stainless steel tubing.
@@allenreisigl8869 Thank you Sir !! 👍🏻👍🏻
Huge missed opportunities with the exhaust and the firewall. Can see the cost cutting measures from the bean counters all thru this build.
That's what happens when spend over $20,000 on a pair of creat axles because they can't build a set of axles. I hate how all these hosts are nothing more than glorified part-changers and not actual builders.
@@thetrutha2177 Feel free to apply to the show Mr. Master Mechanic.
You're acting like these dudes don't get a budget and script. This is a TV show, not them building stuff for themselves
@@thetrutha2177 It would have been a lot cheaper though to just gusset brace weld the axles and also put stronger axle shafts and differentials.
Not sure it's about cost savings. Maybe more poor planning and poor execution. I am not sure these shows have a "budget". Seems like they can spend whatever they want.
Following behind gears
whats the part number on the long tube headers?
I love how the dump $20,000 for crate axles, but they are so cheap they won't spend $200 on a new brake boost. We all know the old one is going to fail.
What! You don’t reek the inside of that tubing?
Is where is the rest of the build on this truck
Wait...... you get pegged?!?!😳😳😳
It’s fascinating to see how a millionaire would redo a square body as I try and restore mine with basic harbor freight and O’Reilly hand tools in a 1930’s single bay garage powered by an extension cord to the house.
I don't understand leaving the firewall. There is literally nothing else that is patina in any way anywhere else on the truck.
It’s the one place that will show the trucks true age, and original paint, that you’ll barely ever see. It’s just owners choice. Personally I’d do the entire thing, since it was a %100 tear down to begin with.
I feel the same. Just a little more work to spray the fire wall and it would of been perfect.
Yep. Very stupid idea to leave the firewall. Especially with that silly chromed out engine.
I know, it's not like you can buy those factory marketing crayons from and restoration company and reproduce them after you repair the firewall. No that's not remotely possible.🙄
The same goes for the brake booster. That truck is going to stop sh-t because they didn't replace and upgrade the master cylinder to a larger one. And let's not forget they used the factory fan which suck and are a pain to take off I'd you need to replace them. Everyone I know just goes with a aftermarket company like vintage air. It helps clean everything up.
Hey the new guy has bolt holders in his ears.
Shorty headers, might as well just use stock exhaust manifolds. Not much difference. Why a single tail pipe?
They should've put the exhaust tips in front of the back tires.
"Tribute" - You keep using that word - I don't think it means what you think it means! .... It is a beautiful truck however, if you need my address to deliver it... 🙂
Yoooooooo!! Where is Brandon?? He's even missing from the intro now 😑
You guys don't keep co-hosts for any of your shows around for very long anymore, hey?
Wicked build nonetheless though
His last show was the last episode
He married a Kardashian and moved to the west coast.
What happened to this truck? No new videos since this one.
Nobody does partial restoration like power nation. Unpainted firewall on this build but on a different episode on an OBS Chevy truck they rebuilt everything except for the interior so when it was time for the money shot you could see the headliner hanging down 👎🏼🤷🏻🤦🏻.
Also on the square body tow truck they didn’t replace the hood after it bent
What happened to the other guy??? Curly
the new guy needs to lose grand ma's earrings lol
🤣
How about combining old school and new EV technology? Run a generator from the transfer case and power Tesla motors at the wheels. Fill the bed with batteries and make them quick change capable. Oh, and BTW, put disconnects between motors and wheels so when the ridiculous behemoth takes a dump, it can be made capable of being pushed or pulled out of traffic.
EVs are nothing but garbage mate.
Enjoy trying to start in the cold. Combustion motors are better, and they sound better as well.
Yes make the truck weigh 3x as much and get 1/3 the mileage
I had hoped the term "ridiculous behemoth" would help to convey the sense of sarcasm.
Can’t really call her a k-10 anymore. Technically a k-30
Not even close.
@@thetrutha2177 It has 1 ton axles underneath it. I suppose k-20 would be more fitting considering it doesn’t have the deeper frame rails.
This build just isn't the same without Brandon.
Why is it called a "faux guy" square body? I know what a square body is, just not what "faux guy" refers to
They are referring to the truck from the fall guy tv show. Similar but they arent making a replica so that's why they called faux guy
@@19chev81 shows his age….
@Golden Manuever actually ive never once seen the fall guy show lol. Just going by what they said at the beginning of this build. That series was begore my time haha
Because it's their cheap knockoff version of Stacey David's (host of Gearz) Fall Guy tribute truck.
@Golden Manuever
1. they stated what the truck is being based on.
2. I'm 35 and I know what that show.
3. You've just shown you live in a bubble.
Deleted Brandon i see.......
It was mentioned in the last show that Brandon has left.
@@goldenmanuever1176 really, the last one on yt?
@@superpug666 correct
@@goldenmanuever1176 gonna look into that. Thanks a bunch!
I've always thought that the reason why the brake line was coiled was that the two front lines had to be the same lengths for balance !😳🤗🫡
Please God, axle dump the exhaust instead of sticking one tailpipe out the back. That will look ridiculous.
We all know they are going to stick the tail pipes out the back. All these guys do is half ass things.
@@thetrutha2177 ONE tailpipe, they used a two into one Y pipe at the exit pipe.
What’s the chance you don’t put a lift kit in one, this thing looks silly
Exhaust is disappointing
Like everything built on on this channel. I miss when the had actual builders and not glorified part changers.
WHERE’S BRANDON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He left last episode
No boxed frame, and now a single exhaust. I'm losing interest very quickly with this build.
You guys copied Stacey David's build
How? They’re two completely different paint jobs and builds….
@@dancampbell4400 you're taking it too literal. They stole the idea of the tribute/replica build of Fall Guy
@@NWI_Steel Believe it or not, it’s OK to have more than one replica/tribute build on the road dedicated to a movie/TV show. General Lees, Bandit Trans Ams, KITT cars, A-Team vans, etc. People have been doing it for years.
@@dancampbell4400
they said they were copying him when they bought the truck "but with a twist." Thats why the keep call Faux Guy. Do you people not pay attention?
Where did Brandon go? You guys never give anybody a proper sendoff. And then you replace him with droopy dog? You guys are losing me. I just don’t understand.
Left last episode
What happened to Brandon????? 💤💤💤👎👎
