Carrot Top looks like Lion-O from the Thundercats! Incredible!!
Yeah he told his plastic surgeon "Give me the Lion-O." and the surgeon said "I got you, fam."
He's a Thundercat lol
Holy shit how have I never put that together, wow that's so spot on. I wonder if he's going for that look. Lol
🤣☠️
Snarf..
Carrot Top is a class act. Over 20 years ago, a group of my friends would go out to see him when he came through town to do some shows. The last time I went with those friends, one was advancing towards stage 4 brain cancer. She knew she was dying and fast and wanted to go see Carrot Top one last time as a group. After the show Carrot Top was doing his usual meet and greet in the lobby and she decided that the show wasn't enough for the bucket list, she wanted a kiss. She was tired but she waited and waited for the crowd to disperse. She eventually made it to the front and I don't know how much she told him about her situation, but he didn't shoot her down. He engaged in some back and forth conversation and held her hand before the smooch. She passed at the end of that year, and talked about that kiss often until her mind gave way to dementia. I like to think she held on to that memory as her mind let go.
Man, what a story. It shows that a little kindess can have profound, and far-reaching effects. Mad respect for the Top.
And to think now they both have entered into eternal life and could very well be chilling out with one another and sharing even more kisses. So sorry for your loss. I hope you have found peace 🙏
Sorry my mistake I think carrot top is still alive and kickin ???? Not absolutely sure though
So sad. 😢
Tender. Good.
"When you're born into this world, you're given a ticket to the freak show. If you're born in America you get a front row seat." - George Carlin
That's my favorite Carlin line.
@@Resmith18SR No.....Carrot Top packed my bag(not so subtle dig at the entirety of show business).
What a quote love it!!!
@@sammybseiso8160 It's my favorite quote of George Carlin.
LOL, Carlin clearly never lived in Canada.
Scott's a great dude, he may look like my step-aunt on a pill bender these days but he's always remained so incredibly humble and funny.
🤣
AHAHAA BROO you’ve got a great sense of humor too
Dude thats comedy gold right there. LMAO its true nice guy but yup looks like an aunt on a pill bender 🤣
😂
Hard not to like Carrot Top even if you're not a fan of his comedy. Just a real down-to-earth dude who has fun and doesn't take himself too seriously.
I'm not a big CT fan but I usually watch interview clips with him because I always find a lot of insight as he carved such a specific lane for himself. The thing is: he did become a punchline as a reference point for what "hack" comedy was, but you can't deny he put the work in. You think about the volume of gags in a show that he probably does and keeping it up to date....everyone says it's probably easy.....but I don't see anyone else doing it for *decades* like he has.
Exactly; his dedication is most definitely admirable. Even if it’s not your cup of tea.
I would think maybe you've lost sight of what comedy is, or what is funny. Cuz I've heard two funny jokes, and both are here.
@@Nannada1212 That's a weak joke, lol.
He said on JRE that he used to have TRAILERS (semi trailers) of props
@@Nannada1212- I think that is the pot calling the kettle African-American (we don’t say black any more). You have forgotten that comedy is a subjective experience. Not everyone will find that same things funny.
Dude is wild, showing how just working and never letting the bastards get you down can keep you alive. Respect, Carrot top.
“Yeah… a fuckin phone show” 😂
🤣🤣🤣
what a cool guy. he had alot of people hating on him and he just kept going and never let it kill his spirit. honestly he's only gotten better with age. hes funnier than ever
I remember everyone loving carrot top and then family guy did a skit on him and everyone started making fun of him constantly, constantly !
@@Fanuc_Operator1990 people have been making fun of him since chairman of the board, way before family guy did.
underrated comedian IMO
always was
any press is good press and he has kept himself out there
If you wasn't around in the 90s when Carrot Top was fresh, well, you missed it.
This guy got mental willpower and confidence of steel
Confidence of steel, hey? Care to explain how that works?
@@52BLUE Steel is almost always silent. Only time you hear steel whine or moan is before a collapse.
he has it figured out. listen to people, think about what you heard, but still do your own thing
Carrot Top has always been waaaayyyyy too underrated as a comic. Funny as hell.
Why do people keep saying "so and so is so underrated", and every time they are talking about someone with an absolutely rock solid career. Carrot top has been working steady for what, over thirty years now? He's had a Vegas residency for almost 20 years. He is NOT OVER RATED, he is appreciated more than adequately for his talent.
@@TessJordan-lp5sc interesting comment, so is he underrated or overrated?
@@thesandman4438 Neither. I said he was well appreciated for his talent.
Carrot top is one tough dude man. He takes the blows, remains humble and carries on. Much respect
If Carlin gives you the seal of approval, you've made it.
Mad props to Carrot Top. He did a classy send off to Norm MacDonald when he passed even though Norm had done some good put-downs at Carrot's expense.
Lol props…
Yeah he showed a compilation of Norm ripping on him, that's a brave and funny thing to do 🤣
Props!?!? Love ❤ the pun and y'all
In fairness off camera Norm stated he thought Carrot was a decent guy and that while his comedy wasn't his cup of tea, he respected that he approached it as unabbashedly unappologetic as he did his own.
Holy F Norm passed...shhhhhhhhht. Didnt know.
"Well that went well" 😂
I'm glad to hear that George loved Carrot Top!
He's honestly a lot more humble and down to earth than I expected after growing up seeing him here and there.
I think Pauly Shore is
I saw Carrot Top live in Lake Tahoe in the 90's. Had few expectations. The best comedy show I've seen. He totally took the audience on a ride. Big fan.
He’s really grown on me. I think for a long time he embraced the hate in a “goofy” way, he kept on trucking, and man. He’s really just a cool, funny ass dude. His stand up, or his more recent stand up, is over fuggin hilarious. There’s something I never thought I’d say. I’m damn near ashamed I jumped on the hate bandwagon…. In my defense, I was like 14 when he was at peak craziness. (‘98-99)
I was there and used to snowboard w him at heavenly. He killed it at Caesar’s Tahoe so many times late 90s to early 2000s
@@michaelespinosa9168 That's BA.
He performed in Auburn Alabama in 1995 and brought the house down. He was so funny that night.
Saw him at mgm. Expectations pretty low. Loved the non stop sight gags. Laughed a lot.
The Carlin story is amazing. What a blessing coming from him. Carrot top did a great impression of Carlin also.
Thank you, CT. You were why I could laugh again after the sudden loss of my teenage son. I took a flight to my sister's in Vegas for respite and went to your show. I was in shock - your show helped me to laugh for three-second intervals through the excruciating pain I could not fend off. I think it might have been at the Luxor. My (now ex) husband wanted to go see thongs at the Cirque. Nope - I stood up to him and let him know that we're going to see Big Orange. The first laugh saved me. Love you, xoxoxo
I can't express how sad and at the same time happy I am for you. I hope things are going well.
@@mage1439 Thank you. Life, as you know is like dancing Cha-Cha. Three steps forward, two steps back, cha-cha-cha. xoxo
Just when you thought he couldn't look any weirder, he does!😂
My God, do you know how many comments I went thru to find this?? Is he transitioning? 😆😆😆 How could you not look at that and not laugh your ass off🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
He's Charro from the neck up...
"F combs.. hand me my eyeliner." 😅
I saw him several years ago. I've never laughed so hard in my life. He had the whole audience crying. My stomach muscles hurt for a day. The guy kills it.
-- Never seen his gig but your post makes me committed to see his show.
Funny, sure got a nasty mouth, even by my standards. If I had any
I saw him right after 9/11 in an outdoor venue. Was eating pizza and almost spit out a piece when he delivered a great punchline. A great show.
Same here. I saw him at a county fair right by my house. Must have been around ‘04 or ‘05. I was I
Second row in the middle and died laughing through the whole show. He was amazing. At the meet and greet, he was really great too.
I always liked his stuff. Not every gag was awesome but he threw them at you with so much excitement and so fast it didn't matter!
"It doesn't matter if any of the comedian's jokes are funny if there's a lot of them!"
Quantity over quality isn't something you generally hear about a standup.
I always loved when Carrot Top would pull out a prop and it didn't get many laughs, that he would just toss it away so casually. 😂
He is fast - like the comedians of Jonathan Winters, Art Carney when there are 20 random items on a table and they go down the line using the item as a gag. Takes talent.
Carrot Top is seriously a nice person, we were eating in a Vietnamese restaurant in Vegas years ago and he was there also eating with friends, he noticed we recognized him, but we respected his time and space and left him alone. As he was leaving, he went out of his way to introduce himself and chatted with us for a bit, we made him laugh because my wife's Neice has naturally orange hair and we told our Neice that Carrot Top might be her daddy knowing her mom lol. He cracked up and actually asked what her mom's name was! Pretty funny exchange, ever since then we've been Carrot Top fans!
You are saying that you saw Carrot top and you didn’t say anything to him. Buy carrot top saw you. And he just came up to you and was like “hey guys” 😂 you really think that makes sense?
@@MrShanester117 If he saw a guy looking at him all night it was obvious he was recognized. And since the guy was nice enough to not bother carrot, carrot was nice enough to greet him
@@MrShanester117 If it doesn't make sense to you, maybe you should be tested. You might be borderline ret@rded and just not realize it. That makes sense.
@@MrShanester117
Makes perfect sense to me.
Saw him a few years ago in Vegas and he killed it, manic non stop relentless & hilarious visual gags, a true one off.🤣🤣
And he did it all in jean shorts!
This guy is fearless. Carlin’s take was spot on
Carlin was an old school conservative jokester in his early career. I bet that's part of the reason why he appreciated Carrot Top's gaggy style.
@@MichaelColombo Carlin eas a radical leftist.
@@nickgreen2905 I'm not talking about his politics. Just look at his very early stand up.

I have understood a lot in the past few years that there are lots of opportunities in the financial market. The only thing is to know where to invest.
I keep wondering how people earn money in financial markets, i tried trading bitcoin on my own made a huge loss and now I'm scared of investing more.

Wow I'm a bit perplexed you guys are discussing about Gary Mason Brooks , I once met him at a conference in California 2019, just before the pandemic. I can testify that he’s very good in trading..Highly recommended.
@Peter Moore Yes i do, I've known him for couple of years, I'm still using his services, His management team is quite impressive so far. With my $15,000 deposit, I made over $288,000 profit with just 10% charge.
That’s so cool too that the LEGEND George Carlin gave Scott props! That’s something to truly be proud of man. I hope he never forgets that and allows it to further fuel his drive to continue his craft
You have to respect his grind and ability to stay relevant. I can't imagine it's easy when you're essentially stamped and labeled for being a goofy character, like his AT&T commercials. He was essentially a clown without the traditional make-up his whole career and I think that's pretty cool. Glad you're still with us and doing your thing Carrot Top. It's always been fun seeing where you'll pop up next.
Edit: Everyone laughing about my use of the word "relevant", but he's on Steve-O's Podcast, and you clicked. It's only clicks, likes, and mentions that make anyone relevant.

One of my favorite things about Carrot Top is how he’s had very random cameos in comedy movies for the past decade. The Hangover comes to mind. Wasn’t shown at all until the end credits with the pictures. He’s like a recurring character in the comedy film universe
They still make comedy films?
@@rswindol
Carrot Top is still alive?😊
Decade? Try the last 3 decades..... I remember him in the 90s doing prop comedy and killing it with the delivery every time. He'll be remembered in history for a long time before being confused for the leader of the mythical thunder cats of old lore
@@johnnyboy55 carrot top is real? I thought that was just a story people told to scare their kids away from being a comic
So a while back, like a decade ago, I popped in my copy of Rules of Attraction for the hundredth time. This time I was going audio commentary. There were 5 or 6. Wow that’s a lot for a random dvd but ok.
The 6th one was a lone commentator. Carrot Top. Brought a whole new light to the movie. Still don’t have a clue why he was chosen and I’m pretty sure it was a topic of discussion he had with himself while watching the movie for what he claims was the first time.
I saw him early 2000's at a casino in Tunica, MS. I was not excited about going.
Completely surprised me, amazing set. he did his homework on the surrounding area better than any comedian I have experienced before or after.
TV for some reason casts him in a strange light, not really fair or accurate.
He kicks ass live.
That's the beautiful thing too, to be able to ignore all that shi5 and give it a chance, a benefit of the doubt and look what happened, you enjoyed the fuck out of it and that's what's up. To be able to make our own decisions about the quality of something is real freedom and integrity. Glad you experienced that and liked his show. It's not about who's Liked by everyone. If it's good for you, that's all that matters. Free to be ourselves and love what we love. Cheers man
That’s awesome that he studied the Delta’s culture. It’s a rich one.
yea, he's a bit off, but his live shows are awesome
It’s not “TV”. Seeing someone live is just a different experience.
I’ve never found him funny and his movie, Chairman Of The Board is one of the worst I’ve ever seen. I couldn’t stand his voice after watching that mess.
Different strokes.
Steve-O is an amazing example to follow. Although, many of us don’t know him, bet you we feel proud of him. Much Love for you BROTHER

So many people have hated on this guy, but he really is a great talent and a very genuine and nice person. I met him years ago in my local YMCA when he was in town performing and he was so great.
As someone who remembers, I often squint my eyes and try to imagine what Carrot Top would look like if he didn't get the work done. The guy is definitely a legend and beloved by his fans. It's strange thinking back on his very long career, because it feels like yesterday.

Carrot Top did a show at my college in the 90's and a large group of us went. It took a couple of days for our faces to stop hurting from laughing and smiling so much. For years I've heard murmurings about Carrot's intellect and being a savvy operator. I never rejected his work, but I stupidly never sought him out either.
Which is crazy. Emo and Gallagher are two of my favorite genius practitioners of absurdism and physical comedy. CT is right there too. Im actually not that big a fan of categorizing humor genres and labeling artists. Because it's all unique and the industry needs labels and language to bring 'em in. And typecasting is real and painful for artists.
