Maybe speaking out of turn but I have listened to his mixing since I was 10. Looking back his popularity outweighed his vinyl mixing talent in comparison to DJs that followed a year or so after his peak, but his presence drew crowds. Don’t get me wrong the man is an absolute legend, to me and a world more, but it’s only the development of technology that I feel has kept his popularity going. Sometimes seeing these videos on line as a 20 year vinyl DJ makes me cringe, knowing the creativity it would actually take to make such sounds. Before I get bombarded with abuse I will say I’m am not bitter in anyway and Mr Carl Cox is still a pioneer and an idol, but technology pioneers all and we develop with it, so what know sounds simple was never actually so.
You dont appreciate good music. This is a classic. Around the world hits home for him and all performers because they travel around the world playing music for thousands everyday

Truly epic vobe in ibiza at the time this happened. I went to carls 3rd last show at space and my god ot was epic. Watched his last ever set on the terrace that night which was famous in ibiza (iykyk). I remember the whole place was full to the brim and he dropped armand van heldens remix of professional widow. 3 hrs later he was in the main room closing it out with a 4 hr set. Absolutely bonkers. What id do to relive those moments the man is the king
