- Today we are finishing up our bathroom renovations, where we painted the cabinets & got new countertops, as well as planning out the next steps in our kitchen renovation, like the breadboard wrap on the island & beginning to choose a cabinet paint color! So happy to see my favorite couple at it again. Kitchen is coming together. I love the white for the cabinets and the backslash. I think it will really stand out on it's own. I love the fact you were able to change counter tops also in the other 2 bathrooms. I am praying for no hiccups as you come down to the wire of finishing the kitchen. I sincerely hope the light switch is for the cabinets Kyle. I simply love the new addition Oliver. He is adorable. He will definitely give the other cats a run for the money. I had to laugh when Kyle was playing with the dead switch. Made me think of the commercial where the hubs is asking what the switch is for, and the camera captures the neighbor's garage door slamming on their car each time he flips the switch 😂

I would definitely paint the cabinet's white and then your island do it. The color of your built ends for in your living room. That would be so cool and then distress your chairs too match your cabinets. That would look really good and then as far as a backsplash. I would do some type of a modern stone

Awww love the new kitten! I had an all black cat for years that we recently had to put down because he had cancer.😢 His name was also Oliver and we called him Ollie for short! He was the best cat! I hope your Ollie is just as great! 😊

think you should use the green you have in the opposite part of your room shelves on your island to balance the color and really make your island countertops pop!

Hello renovators! I have an idea for your kitchen. Swiss Coffee on the cabinets with your green on the island. Then do a green mix for the backsplash. Swiss Coffee is not a stark white but so beautiful in kitchens. Happy renovation. Love the channel!

I think white would look good with the evergreen fog color. Maybe paint the island first then decide.
A popular Benjamin Moore paint in white is: Chantilly Lace. It’s a creamy white, still white. It’s considered a Neutral.
I think you guys will be so happy with the white. I almost think with the backsplash you should do a terracotta tile. To pull in that natural element. Something with texture.
I think white cabinets will be great... my opinion is... back splash needs to be a simple statement as to not take away from your AWESOME countertops😊
Ahh I love Oliver. We have an all black Oliver. Highly recommend water fountain for the cats. They drink much more water when moving and males are prone to developing urinary blockage.

When you got Benji and Felix I commented that we had brothers exactly like them...they both passed several years ago and lived to over 20 years old. Our black cat, Miles, didn't want any other animals in HIS house just like Felix. The color of cats does determine their temperament...Google it and see. I commented about the beadboard a few weeks back when you first asked for ideas. We are so happy with them! We have black cabinets and bright white bead board as an accent, and we love it (although I know you love lighter colored cabinets lol)
I love Chantilly Lace, I have painted my whole house and also kitchen cabinets with that color. It’s also a Benjamin Moore paint. It isn’t too cool and isn’t too warm and goes with everything.
We used beadboard on the side of our cabinets and our island. Easy to take care

I actually commented on the last video about when you do the green on the island with all the barstools underneath you won't even really be able to see it from the living room. I think you could just go all out and do all of the cabinets in green. I think it would be gorgeous and it's very neutral. But if you do anything else I would have to pick a soft white and maybe bring that green up in the backsplash with a cool pattern of cream, green, and maybe a another color. I love your new kitty. Can never have enough cats. I am not a dog person.

Love your kitchen counters, sink and appliances. Like how you are tying the family room color in with the base for the island. My only suggestion would be not to paint the cabinets white. White yellows over time and shows every dirt mark and all imperfections. Paint the base cabinets the same color as the island and if you really want white, paint the uppers that color. Pick a nice neutral, classic backsplash that you won't get tired of over time (no chevron or funky colors). Just my two cents.

a year ago we had a kitten just like Oliver come into our yard. I think he was 6 weeks at best, flea ridden and so very hungry. Of course we had to keep him! My daughter had him in small enclosure in her bedroom and would tend to him through the night because he missed his mom. She named him Cosmo and he is such a big boy now and our other cat Hollie has grown to love him.
I am sure Oliver will settle in really well with your other cats.
