To the people saying that Kratos wins, no. He wouldn't be able to. He is extremely powerful but he wouldn't be able to beat a realm destroying monster. He would have died during the events of Ragnarök if Freyr hadn't stopped the blade and Angrboda had gotten them out
Kratos has plot Armor to the max. In previous games he has always faced the odds and come out victorious. If he does he always finds a way to come back. No matter how powerful Surtr is in the end Kratos will find a way (a special weapon) to beat the odds(Surtr). I mean he took out an entire pantheon. It's time people stopped underestimating him.
kratos vs realm destroying ragnarok? surtr/ ragnarok wins, but kratos would probably be a hard challenge. and also, im pretty sure (correct me if im wrong), but didnt surtr help kratos by enchanting his swords, so without surtr kratos wouldnt have all his power
