    Devious is out here kicking ass. Love that they provide parts for us to keep out old Lincolns moving. You have to be spot on while drilling into the frame for the motor mounts. I’m about to get the master swap kit and I’m going to make sure I get that part of the installation correct 🤟🏽

    Love that you didn’t have to cut the tunnel on this unibody.The 5.0 needs a big tunnel so LS here I go.

    Just bought this kit for my 61. I’ll be using an oil pan from an 04-06 GTO (LS2)... hope it works.

      As an update, this kit fit perfect. I had to notch the crossmember for the GTO oil pan, but it's super easy to do. Also, this kit is designed for a 4L60E, but I used a 4L80E so I had to extend out the thickening support and drill a hole a few inches back (as-well-as cut the trans tunnel)... had everything done in a day. This kit kicks ass and would highly recommend it.

    What trans did u go with? Did u keep stock driveshaft? I'm swapping the 462 and c6 out of my 67 because parts availability. Looking for a combo to keep stock shaft n not cut trans tunnel.@deviouscustoms

    • @DeviousCustoms
      @DeviousCustoms  Před 5 lety +1

      4l60e requires no cutting if you use 4l80e you have to modify the trans tunnel. you will need to have a driveshaft made.

    I’ve got a 1988 Town Car. Not asking if you guys have a kit for it or anything, but for someone who’s still learning about the ins and outs of engine swaps, what do you think would be a good option to eventually swap in to it? I’ve heard people say a coyote but there’s not a lot of info online for first gen town cars so I haven’t really set my foot down on anything specific yet

    • @DeviousCustoms
      @DeviousCustoms  Před rokem

      Coyotes are great motors but big. I’m sure it would fit with mods. Ls is always a good option too for more of a budget friendly and size

      @@DeviousCustoms Thanks for the reply, I think I’ll do some more research on LS engines and see what fits. Always wanted to turn that grandpa wagon into a real monster. Hoping I can scrounge up enough in the next few years to eventually make that dream come true lol

      should have dropped a ford SMALL block LIGHTER more powerful way down low. Small Block CRATE motor.FORD CRATE ENGINE M-6007-Z460FFT 460 C.I.D. 575 HP Small Block Ford Crate Engine
      make 575 hp at 5500 rpms stock with a small carb no injection shit smooth as fuck and STARTS EVERY SINGLE TIME. compared to stock 64 lincoln 430 motor which make 320 hp at 4100 rpms.
      any LS motor regardless vette version or charged on steroids LS motors are small make the HP a little more than stock lincoln but cant match the torques of a lincoln
      stock lincoln motors snap out 465 ft lbs torque at 2500 RPMs THAT IS FUCKING LOW AS FUCK.
      No LS motor will match it rendering it useless.
      cant sub cubic inch for STUMP pulling torque when you need it at lincoln vert weighs 5500 lbs no way a LS motor is gonna pull that shit proper
      you cant build Ls motors big 430 is the MAX LS MOTORS are not heavyweight contenders LINCOLN continentals are TRUE HEAVYweight george foreman cars that need cubes like a cadillac 500 motor that is a real stump puller but naw wont drop that in.Just adding some info for people thinking. remember cant SUB cubic inch unless your drag racing then you can do this or that but on a streeter we all no stump pulling torque diesel car truck bike is where its at.Pretty pricy. you got the motor the trans. the installer or 2 the wire harness and all the hoses , the american billet 3000 dollar set of pulleys and does the factory AIR even work.if that cant be done with a LS motor that might be another issue. sounds like a 17000 dollar conversion just drive in and drive away but barley like high 300 hp not worth it.
      SMALL BLOCK FORD cant go wrong numbers DOWN low smash any LS even the LS4 that make 600 plus hp cause it make the hp up high on the rpm band.LS motors are basically for trucks and JAP car conversions 300 zx 240zx honda toyota corollas.
      chevy motors also sound like shit unless its in a drag car or vette in a LINCOLN not right sounds like all those camaros running around with the wannabe coyote mustang clones and wannabe dodge charger hellcat clone wannabe
