  • Here is another one my friends! Because this is 10g (2.59mm diameter) wire and very hard to work with, to make this bend in the center, requires that you soften the wire using fire. You can cold forge this shape, but it's super hard to do without fire first.
    Use 8 - 10 inches of wire (I am using 8 inches which made a small size 6 ... you can always cut the ends down if too big so I'd use an inch or two more than what you see me use. I had to rehammer it to grow it some at the end of the video.
    These are wonderful cuffs and super sturdy. You can wear them as is or embellish them with more wire and/or gemstones for endless stackable looks! Much love!

    Another fantastic video in the "10 gauge" series!! My electrician son just brought me a tonne of 10 gauge scrap wire pieces from a recent job!! I'll be making and embellishing lots of cuff bracelets now! Thanks once again for generously sharing your talent!

    Thank you so much, your cuff bracelets are gorgeous, love them all. Some heavy duty equipment used for the beautiful curved one. I may have to admire them from afar. Hugs for you x❤

    Lovely cuff! I absolutely love to work with thicker wire. This cuff reminds me of a couple of copper hair pins I started making a while ago. I really need to finish them,one of these days. I'm planning on flush setting a few faceted gemstones into the bend of the hair pin. You could do the same with your beautiful cuffs! That's one of the great parts of using thicker wire. It's thick enough to set a small gemstone into. Thanks for sharing ❤

      That's a great idea! I wish I knew how to flush set stones! 😌❤️🙏 on the list of future things to learn for me! Thank you, Heather!

    Beautiful! I'm curious could you use the 3-5mm flat wire to make these? Thank you in advance I absolutely love your designs!

    • @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry
      @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry  Před 2 měsíci

      What a fun thought! Maybe? Why not? I've not used flat wire but my guess is that either way, you'll have to anneal the wire to get them to turn on their edges. Let me know how it goes! Thanks for watching!

    This is really nice. May I know where you got your heavy duty wire bender? I found some on Amazon with 4 holes in the middle not 5 holes. I think there would be more freedom with the 5 holes. Thank you :)

    • @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry
      @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry  Před 2 měsíci

      Thank you! I got this one so long ago...it's called a Wire Jig, you can searching for them that way too... I found it recently on amazon but I don't remember where I got mine with the five holes. Here is one from them anyway... a.co/d/0Epd1hY Hope it helps!
      Here is an Etsy shop with some too...

    I guess

    • @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry
      @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry  Před 2 měsíci

      They are fun to have. You can use smaller bench blocks for regular wire but this biggie wire needs a heavier surface, it will be easier on you and your tools. This one came from Harbour Freight, it's not a jewlers anvil, just a regular garage shop one. I think it was less than $200

    Love these! What is the tool that you used to bend the wire?

    • @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry
      @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Thanks, Michelle, that plier is called a Nylon Jaw. They have plastic heads. ❤️🙏

    • @michellerockett6311
      @michellerockett6311 Před 2 měsíci +1

      Sorry I wasn't more specific. Not the pliers, the metal jig thing that you made the "S" bend with. The thing you clamped to the anvil. 😅

      Ah, there is one on Amazon, you can use my store link if you'd like, many are asking about my tools, so I set up a page on my website... here it is and below is the jig... www.perfectlytwistedjewelry.com/buy-tools-and-supplies.html

    Why does my copper oxidize within a few days? become very dark

    • @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry
      @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry  Před 2 měsíci

      Oxidation happens via the environment and the acidity of the body wearing the jewelry. If you are in a very humid place, the metal will oxidize much faster say than a dry climate. I hope that helps!
