You need:
- Cardboard
- Rubber bands
- Ice-cream sticks
- BBQ bamboo sticks and chopstick
Cardboard Measurement:

(cm = centimeter)
3cm x 12cm = 2 pieces
3cm x 20cm = 2 pieces
10cm x 10cm = 1 piece
12,5cm x 20cm = 1 piece
15cm x 25cm = 2 pieces
16cm x 16cm = 2 pieces
17cm x 25cm = 2 pieces - Jak na to + styl

It's about the mechanism, the cleverness behind the engineering and design. I think this is absolutely brilliant!

I think this is a good idea to those who want to save money. He just demonstrating. If you are serious to that, then i believe you know already the answer. He just demonstrating it so that we have the procedure on how to do it using wood or any materials that is safe...

I think this is a really good idea. Although if you want to make the items in the safe safer, I would say to use wood instead of cardboard.

To the people who said that it's easy to break it, it just need a different material, but this is creative by itself anyway.
My dad made me one out of wood but used what you call a staple and hasp for padlock. I think he knew which I did not that the hinges for those hasps prob for most are floating and removable. Nothing keeping the hinge pin for the latch hinge in place just need a toothpick or pin. Found that out later. When I realized everyone in my house and a couple neighbors had ways around the lock. :P Hinges for the door would be same issue unless they are on inside, instead of outside. I'm the only person in my house that was using the lock.

You could do this with all wood instead of cardboard and use a hinge for the door if you wanted to make it a little more secure.
