- In this video I have a HUGE Holiday Update for your from Puerto Pollensa in Mallorca for May 2024.
I have had a really positive conversation from Pollensa Town hall to answer questions such as why there are no sunbeds on the Puerto Pollensa beaches in May and when we can expect to see them.
I also talk about the water quality on the beaches and I have a mosquito update for you too.
Plus I put out a request for what you can to to help if you are visiting Puerto Pollensa this Summer.
I'm so excited that I have a hotline now to the Town Hall, so please let me know if you have any further questions about any issues which may be of concern.

I love Puerto Pollenca one of my favourite places and doesn’t look too packed at the moment. It’s so nice to see the old hotels haven’t changed their names. Great update as usual. Thanks Alex.
It is Diane, it's a resort that doesn't change too much which is lovely!
We’re in Puerto d’Alcudia later this year but I have to say, Puerto Pollensa looks absolutely beautiful. Might have to visit for next year’s family hols 😊

It is much more untouched and more beautiful and calmer than Palma. There are no tall and ugly hotels in the background. It would be a much more beautiful place if trees were planted on the hills. I liked it very much. And I loved those ducks :)
Very true Gurcan. It does get very busy in the Summer though and it's very quiet in the Winter, but the views don't change!
I’m excited, I’ll be there next week, following your recommendations Alex, as I’ve watched you covering that area for the last 3yrs or so. I have mobility issue’s but that’s not going to stop me, as there are plenty of low walls along to sit on. Thanks again xx

Hi Alex,it was dissapointing not to see the sun loungers and parasols on the beach when we was there a couple of weeks ago,we prefer them on the beach we dont want to sit on the sand with a towel🤔🤗

Thank you Alex - Arriving next week for our 25th wedding anniversary, done this each and every year. As for the sunbeds..we will just need to find another way to catch those sunrays ;-)
Lots of beach shops selling sunbeds! There is also a charity shop in the town to donate them to when you leave! And a very happy wedding anniversary to you both!

I've been to many holiday resorts over the years which have sun loungers, toilet facilities and bars/restaurants on the beach but never seen on a beach any secured lockers to put your personal belongings..for instance if the was a family of four who all wanted to go into the sea together or someone on their own who wanted to go into the sea you can't because you could have your personal things stolen..so personally i think it would be a great idea to put safes/lockers on the beaches it would make people relax more wouldn't it ?😊
Yes, great idea! They do have them on the beach umbrellas usually...but until then, get a waterproof bumbag and take it all in with you!

Enjoyed watching this on a rainy bank holiday Monday in the UK! We’re going with our four children in August and are staying at the Cabot. I feel I’ve got a good idea of Puerto Pollensa by watching your videos - thank you! ☺️ We really can’t wait. It looks like such a beautiful, unspoilt resort. I’ve been to Mallorca a number of times, but it’ll be our first time here.
Do you know roughly how long the walk is from the Cabot Hotel to the port and the centre of the resort, Alex?

We absolutely love Majorca and would love to visit again, but my Mrs has really bad reactions to mosquito bites which can make her poorly for a few days.

I visited Pollenca / PP from 2006 to 2019 . We always stayed in the old town and would visit the beach in the day. Hoping to revisit this Summer it really is a beautiful place. Do you think it is the nicest resort in Majorca?

Alex - everyone falls into that trap - ten a.m. in the morning - six p.m. in the afternoon! A.M means Alto (above or before) Meridian, and P.M. is Post (or after) Meridian - so what you said was Ten in the morning in the morning! 🙂
Ha, yes, not everyone is English speaking on the channel, so I just reinforce it by adding morning/afternoon!
I have no idea how people can eat huge breakfasts (usually British Isles breakfasts) then a huge lunch then a huge dinner… breakfast and dinner and tea and tucs late afternoon

What are your thoughts about it remaining as pristine as it is? So many lovely places around the world become filled with rows of hotels that take away its serenity.
Because the season is so short, I don't think it'll change too much. It's very quiet in Winter too.
And also the sis pinns sunbathing situation must be having a negative affect on there hotel bookings,it was the same last year, empty!!
It's such a shame - the only solarium it seems that's not being used :(

in can pastilla just great time ,toilets on beach not working so the life guards say. but they themselves use the disabled toilets don't tell anyone 🙄 .
