Having one bad movie doesn't make you a bad actor, Will Smith was also in that movie and other actors that are now bigger than ever have had their fair share of bad movies. Karate kid was great, the pursuit of happiness was great and he has charisma from what I've seen in interviews. People just bash him because he is eccentric and does whatever he wants which isn't a bad thing.
