Fabulous! This performance was quite significant as it was possibly their last TOTP appearance, and also 10 years after their first, (1982 singing with Fun Boy Three).

I once came across their live clip with Robert DeNiro's Waiting where they sat on top of a car and there was something wrong with the mics and Siobhan was a bit breathy, though we all know she can really sing high and low, so they did extremely well there too 😇😍 I cannot find that clip now 😟

Because the first third member left in February 1988 and her replacement left in August 1991. Since then Bananarama have been a duo.
You Should Be Dancing and throwing more energy out there than just waving their arms around
Top of the pops had just brought in new rules that nobody was allowed to lipsync anymore , so that was there first live vocal ever on the show. Probably nervous to throw themselves around haha. In the 80s and 90s nobody sang live on tv

@@GESTFOOT Actually, they all 3 got back together for a tour 3 years ago, but Siobhan just released new Shakespear's Sister songs in 2019.

Yes. Guess they broke up.
Originally there was three but Siobhan left in the mid to late 80's and was replaced by Jacqui who stayed until 1990/91. The group remained a duo after this Siobhan briefly reunited with the group for a tour in 2017/18

....still missing Siobhan immensely, and still being mad at Keren, who always wished this main pop SAW direction for the group thus destroying every creativity of this unique girl group
ABSOLUTELY! Bananarama are my FAV female group EVER but SAW destroyed them. Sure, some SAW work with nana's was great but going back to PWL after Pop Life was ridiculous!

Siobhan was Busy with " "Shakespeares Sister" at this Point ! 1992 & by 2018 They Had Reunited , Bananarama back to the Original 3 🎶😎😎😎🎶👍 probably Stock & Waterman & No Aitken ,by 92 think the PWL Phenomenon dropped out ,, wondering why " Youth didn't do another Album with them , they said the new member of the group ,was lazy Arse ,so they parted ways .

@@paulopicostareto854 Jacquie O'Sullivan was a friend of Siobhan's, and joined the group with Siobhan's blessings. Jacquie walked away after four years, as she was considered more of an employee of the group, rather than the third member. She was given no artistic control, and got tired of being referred to as the "Fourth Nana".
Not a great tune drowned out by that music, shame about loosing the other girl, think 1992 was the beginning of the end of the group.

What was terrible about it exactly? They were moving with the times as a duo which is what they wanted all along. Yes the best version of Bananarama was with Siobhan in the 80's but that don't make this performance terrible
