The shelby is a monster . 100 stock and still faster then a m5 competition with an ots 93 tune god dayum. And to all the bmw fangirls saying bmw pushing less horsepower and still keeping up,b#tch a stock bmw m5 competitoon dynos at 630+ hp to the wheels so at the crank it pushes ariund 730,740 hp and this bmw m5 has a tune so its pushing close to 700 whp easily and it still got spanked by a stock gt 500 😂.
An ots stage 1 tune on 93 isn't touching 700 whp. It's definitely less from the dyno sheets I've seen. And I've never seen a 630+ whp dyno sheet or video from a stock m5 lol.

Solid runs! Love both cars
Owning a GT500, the main thing is that despite any performance, it is really a Summer car. The M5 can be driven all year round easily due to having AWD. Also considering both weigh similar, the M5 has way more functionality (room, storage, features, etc). Not to mention, the GT500 needs a good tire, in most cases good track prep, and a good launch...whereas the M5 on any track and with just normal tires and a halfway decent driver can still be very fast. Overall the M5 is a much better car. Having said that, I love my GT500 and I would not really want to give it up.
Parts are also more expensive requires a lot more for maintenance

60s are horrible for awd cars. The 5 got way faster with that tune though. Can imagine fbo and dp which is relatively cheap for such a high end car. Keep em coming.
Awd cars should do roll vs rwd from 20mph. Otherwise make no sense having awd extra weight, drivetrain power loss do high speed rolls
Yeah then I can say the same for the gt500. Upgrade the Pulley and put E85 with a tune it's over. Very cheap too!

What kind of tune does the m5 have?
I have a 2020 competition that is DME tuned with active autowerks exhaust and I can tell you it’s a monster. I have a 2019 ZL1 tuned and pully system 10 speed that is over 700 horses stock it was faster than BMW. When DME got ahold of not even close! Definitely the best tune for BMWs

Considering the F90 is just on a Stage 1 tune (93 pump) with less power keeping up with the GT500 says something ☝️.
It doesn’t make less they are around the same, the last video he said around 700

GT500 is a 2 door sports pony car vs 4 door sports sedan.
With a stage 1. If my math is correct the m5 is slightly making more horsepower with an extra 100 pounds of weight. Depending on the tune. It would need a good launch to really get in there and bring home the W. Good race they were close.
Just thinking...Its cool to if there is a little bit of a difference in power and that close together off set you can still pick up a good bit just from a draft off of the other car.

Hello everyone, I would like to ask you a question which one should you choose between gt500 and m5c? What are the advantages and disadvantages?

Of course, I will choose an M5 cs, better driving performance, very luxury, and on top of all of that very fast for a family car; and I’ll also recommend every single one to drive the same car.
If money was an option:
Depends on how many doors you need😂. If you need to lug people around the M5 CS is awesome, but thats almost double the cash for a GT500 (going off of MSRP’s) just to drag around 3 people and gloat that you have a bimmer plus the performance stats are very similar. I’d say $100k on the Shelby with a few Bolt on’s to make that thing a beast and take the other $40k as a down payment on a house or 3row suv😅 to cry in because I kinda wanted the CS.
It’s a hard one to make because we want it all in a car. Something competitively fast, fun to drive, eye catching, great sound, convenience/safety features, reliability, a good name behind it, and also track ready but able to be daily driven. Both these cars are exactly that but again how many doors do you want? The BMW has prestige in the badge but Carol Shelby and Ford have cemented themselves in a respectful manner when it comes to performance aiding some prestige to the Cobra Badge and the Blue Oval. In regards to luxury I mean the CS is more so Premium imo Ultra premium if it makes people feel better, I think the Mercs have that Luxury title nailed down.

The video on franks channel with a jb4 only beat the gt500. This tune this guy is running is not good at all. The M5 was gaining top end tho, Good runs! And for your information a f90 comp with a ots tune doesn’t put down more then 650-660wheel. Because a jb4 on a auto tune map puts 670 wheel and an ots tune is a little weaker. Very impressive with the M5 tho. It was starting to pull top end on a lighter car with more power. Shows how well performed that vehicle is
