Good video. It was nice to show the imaging at various exposures and ISO settings. That shows us viewers much more than someone straight imaging without showing options, like so many others do.
Olá amigo....sou do Brasil... e tenho um Nexstar 8SE também.....Esse cabo USB que você usa é comum ou é próprio para serial com. ? E tem algum software para reconhecer o Goto ? Obrigado!!!
Awesome video. Can I ask a question? When you created the Stellarium telescope-mount profile, you used "direct, serial", of course you have the "Celestron NexStar (compatible)" selected, and it showed as COM4 for the port. So my question is, where did the COM4 come from. I think you said it was auto-detected. So you every have to change that?
@@flamingoboot8874 : I'm guessing that the step-by-step process guided you on using the Device Manager to first determine the COM port number assigned. Normally, people have to double-check that...
Garnett Leary I haven’t really tried eq mode, I did it once but the backlash issue takes some real time to experiment on.. I’m waiting on warmer nights
I connected my usb cable to my pc and the mount started to smoke from the base luckily my mount still works. I need someone to explain why that happened ?

Typo in my question. So you have NEVER had to change the COM4 port number?
30” was my maximum on a wedge. I hope you beat that number.

I gotcha. When you do there are backlash settings in the main menu and you can adjust for it.

You have a bad cable. Did you make it yourself? If so, you may have the pinout incorrect.
