This is one of the most thrilling, powerful and badass live videos I've ever seen. No matter how many times I've seen it it always gives me chills. I love this woman!
Chill, man.... the drummer's voice is one of the things that make this song so cool and unique! It's art. :-) Way cool how he sounds like he's dying at the end at around 4:00!
yes this song is the song of my love life! things get so deep and high, but the low is so dark were wounds cute hard..... knowing you'll always have their soul with in you for ever.. good & bad! and the only thing you can think of it dont u wish you never met him!!!
God! not only unique fantastic woman, unique fantastic voiuce and unique fantastic sun-glasses How can be not in love with her? I'm sorry but she rocks!
I met PJ Harvey at Macabes in Santa Monica she played a solo live show back in the 90's after the show me and my girlfriend convinced her manager for us to meet, wow she was the most beautiful woman I'd ever laid eyes on, and she was so sweet. I got her to sign a flyer I had. I have it till this day! One of my favorate posessions!!!!!!
Uff, me habría encantado estar ahi, no cabe duda, os noventas fue una década genial para ir a conciertos, y Chicago es la mejor ciudad de E.U.A para disfrutarlos
I don't know but if you find out let me know lol. I had it favourited on here and I'm so mad it's gone because it was definitely the best version out there.
Is this one of the only versions on CZcams with the band backing her up? I love the song but the dynamic for me is so important that I don't care much for her when she's just doing it by herself.
wait, how can you not like this? I think he was the one doing it on the CD, too, yes, because it was released under the idea of PJ Harvey being a 3 piece band, and he was as entitled to sing as PJ even though he primarily plays drums. The two have a strangely similar voice though.
I saw a video of this song from the Tonight Show with an interview with Jay afterward. It's been taken off, probably because Jay and the other guests didn't come off so well in the interview. PJ's performance on that video was amazing. Does anyone know where it can be seen?
If I was a woman, and a man ever wronged me, there'd be no contest as to what song I would play to get over that shit. If you're a guy, listening to this track is the musical equivalent of watching "Fatal Attraction."

Polly's best ever performance.

How can be not in love with her?
I'm sorry but she rocks!
that's MAD!!! How good is Ellis!
Love it. Not many perfomances of this song were with a full band and I like that extra dynamite that makes me destroy the room.

The true queen herself.

She's amazing (and incredibly beautiful too)
And I've always wAndered why she didn't sing 'I'm gonna twist your head, you see''.... HOLY FUCK!!!
best version.
Awesome.
Great video. Thanks. I saw her at Sheffield, this video reminds me how good she is.
Another historic shoot at the Metro by JBTV, with audio by Tim Powell of Metro Mobile Sound.
thanks for the great video. i've got PJ tix at the beacon theater next week, and i'm jumping out of my skin waiting for it! this helped!
I love her
Perfection!

Sooooogooood

i love the choros
Love it!
Yup, and I beleive on the record it is the drummer singing the backing vocals anyway.
@EuNoteas Yes, I ADORE this version.
how goods the fucking drummer!
she does when she plays it solo but Rob Ellis sang it when they used to play it together
He actually sings a lot of the (background) high stuff on the albums me thinks...
FInally one with drums!

LOL great film btw
go rob!
yes, the one from bog day out.
Nice falsetto.
Oh come on, Polly isnt able to do 2nd voice as on cd.
I think he does a great job!
@cascarable i liked !!!!!
Don't you wish you never met her?
what is that guitarr she is playing?
It's a Jazz-Master -- favored guitar of many of the Alt-Rock bands and musicians of that era.
A little weird having the male drummer do the "lick my legs" part
Are you really worried, or just joking?
Watch version 48GIaN7SrGU.
This song could never be as powerful live because it doesn't have the dynamic range that provides Albini's sound, but still it's great.
I would argue the opposite
everybodys getting of on the drummers falsetto they dont even care about her man
phuuuuuuuuuuk
