    LOVE the Aeropress, and I was so happy to see you reviewed it on your channel. Also, I agree that your friend Matt was a total natural, and definitely needs his own CZcams channel!

      wouldn't it taste similarly if you'd use a metal filter in the aeropress?

  • @Hashfiend23
    @Hashfiend23 Před rokem +1

    When I used to use an aero press, we would make it upside down so it wouldn’t drip before it was ready. So prep it upside down then screw the filter/cap on, set your timer, flip and press when ready.

      Brilliant Hash! Thank you I will pass that info along to Matt as well. Loving the pro tips here!

    I am truly sorry that coffee doesn't work for you! As a long-time, daily AeroPress user and admitted coffee addict, I don't know what I'd do without one. I wanted to say it's really cool of you to do a video like this when you can't drink the coffee.
    Even so, I'm sure you appreciate how folks use this simple gadget for dozens of methods, playing with all the variables to figure out what works for them, and then telling the world. People get really excited about these things!

      Oh totally Dustin! I can see the appeal and world of coffee making tools and equipment. When you've got a ritual, I can see it getting really personal for preferences and strategy to make the perfect cup'a. So glad you enjoyed the video! :)

    We just used that same one this weekend on our camping trip. I prefer my single cup French press, but Brian likes the aero press.

      A single cup French press sounds pretty cool! You might have to show me that one.

    • @milotash
      @milotash  Před rokem +1

      You even use it at home?? That's a cool idea! I feel like coffee and the various contraptions folks use to make it these days is a rabbit hole I can't afford to go down haha. Thank goodness I don't drink coffee anymore.

    • @warwickbourke
      @warwickbourke Před rokem

      Yes but not as often as I use to. It was more to try new beans. Oh you’re so right. Just choosing a grinder is complicated enough before you even look at the brewing side
      Yeah I definitely think it’s a good thing you don’t drink it 😊

    I can't deal with caffeine either (headaches), so it's decaf beans or nothing, and here in Seattle there's no shortage of excellent options. The Aeropress is interesting ...

    • @milotash

      Glad you can get your fix locally without the headaches! Dandy Blend has been a nice alternative that I've found tastes sorrrrttaaa like coffee. Might have to do a little review on it for folks soon.

  • @karinhart489

    Hmm, never have had a cup from or used an aeropress, so thanks for drafting Matt to give a demo… He did answer an all important question about clean-up in that it just pops off used grounds & filter disk thingie right into the trash (I had visions of a messy clean-up). Apparently the original inverter/owner of company that makes aeropress has just recently sold off to a big company, so we’ll see if it maintains quality. Personally, I just make pour over coffee using a #2 filter in a porcelain cone (recently won in a contest) at home, a collapsible silicone cone camping, and an OXO pour over cone with tank/reservoir to hold hot water to make a cup (while I get cream out of cooler). I like the OXO one because you don’t have to keep standing there while doing the pour over thing. ☕️🫖
    Product design question: was that a flash of a newly designed method to cook hot dogs your friend was stringing over the fire circle? Looked intriguing… 🌭

    • @milotash
      @milotash  Před rokem +1

      I love your set up Karin and I always value your comments. Sounds straightforward and easy to use which is the goal personally whenever I’m making food or beverage outdoors. Even better that you snagged the cone as a prize!
      Now that sweet little contraption that my friend is holding I got quite the kick out of as well! It holds a number of dogs at once and it’s like you’re “fishing” over the fire pit which adds a cute factor no doubt. I’ll have to see where she picked that up at. ☺️
