  • Dear MRI Community,
We all know that MRI is an imaging modality that has revolutionized the field of diagnostics. However, it's crucial to ensure patient safety during the MRI procedure, and SAR reduction plays a pivotal role in achieving this objective. In this video, I will delve into the fascinating world of 𝑺𝑨𝑹 𝒓𝒆𝒅𝒖𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒆𝒄𝒉𝒏𝒊𝒒𝒖𝒆𝒔, exploring what are the initial considerations to make in order to prevent potential SAR conflicts from occurring.

We have 15 minutes to scan most patients. AND we are only allowed to use Normal Mode. All of our scans are 3T. We get numerous pop ups with SAR conflicts. Have to add concatenations, reduce Flip angle, raise TR. AND then the scanner does an automatic 30 or 60 second pause after each scan. It's very frustrating!!! You did not really go over the things for a 3T.
