I would have never guessed you're 41. You look 10 years younger. My brows don't even share a zip code and that's life. Trolls are very unhappy people. Don't let them steal your joy. I've been struggling to find a good foundation for my dry mature skin. Went to try the Candid foundation a few weeks ago and accidentally grabbed the Revlon Colorstay Full Cover Matte. Holy heck! Love it! It's not really full coverage. More medium to full. And, while matte, its mousse texture is not drying or cakey and has ok to good staying power. It even did well on a business trip to a colder dryer climate last week. Its early days but this just might be my new holy grail foundation!
Beautiful look! I hate that there are rude people out there criticizing your eye brows when they are clearly lovely. Why is it that humans can be so unpleasant to other humans? My brows are similarly uneven due to a difference in muscle structure. I think you are beautiful!

No one perfectly symmetrical. I usually get frustrated with pictures because they really capture the more obvious differences in my face. But eventually I figured I am the way I am and I am okay with it. You are lovely just the way you are! But whatever you feel is right for you is absolutely your choice, whether you take a different approach to your makeup, your facial care, Botox, what have you. You’re spot on to try to tune out the noise. 😘
Your eyebrows are perfect! Don't let anyone make you feel bad about them. I think they make you look expressive and intriguing (like how some models will lift one eyebrow slightly to appear more sly or mysterious)

I have honestly never noticed that about your brows...people are ridiculous! You are so pretty! Please don’t let a bunch of internet trolls push you down a path you would have never considered otherwise. I work in the beauty industry (and we’re about the same age) and it makes me sad to see women erasing what makes them unique. Everyone looks the same nowadays. Beauty & makeup used to be about celebrating what makes you, you and enhancing those features. Everyday I have at least one person ask me why their makeup/lipstick/hair doesn’t look like the model in the ad & I always tell them that the model doesn’t even naturally look like that. We are slowly filtering away what makes each person memorable. 😕
I agree with you! CZcams used to be about watching regular people talk about makeup and was an escape from the airbrushed models in magazines. But now CZcams is going that same route with everyone using filters and getting expensive procedures done just to catch up. It's crazy!

My brows do the same thing. One looks higher or longer or more curved than the other. Especially in pictures or when I concentrate. I can only raise my right eye brow up on it's own and my left will only go down when I give 'the seriously?' brow... You are fantastic exactly the way you are.

I had the same problem with the uneven brows and got a tiny bit of Botox and it fixed it right up. Mine was really noticeable though. That was 3 years ago and never had Botox again and they are still even.

Wow that's interesting! It must have been a muscle thing and the Botox made the muscles under your brow "unlearn" the behavior for the months that it was there. That's what I'm trying to do with the exercises and trying to consciously relax it as much as I can. :)

You’re beautiful ❤️ Don’t listen to those people 🙄 also, I have freckles (which I love!) so I don’t wear foundation often, but I have the candid foundation and like to apply it with my fingers for some light coverage. I like that it evens out my skin and covers some redness, but still lets my freckles show through. Love your channel!! ❤️

My eye brows are exactly the same and it does hood my one eye. It’s gotten worse the older I’ve gotten I just roll with it usually. In the past I’ve tweezed my brows more so on top for the higher one so it appears somewhat lower and accentuate the arch on the lower one. Nothing crazy just a couple hairs and it seems to help a ton.
I love your channel because you’re very relatable and absolutely amazing to sit and chat about makeup with. I’m not too much younger and suffer from crazy dry skin. Your channel is my number one i binge on daily.

I love botox! Preventive botox, I mean! I am 39 now and I started doing it to prevent lines and I don't overdo it... It could be a good thing for you, but do it with a good dermatologist.And only 1 or 2 times a years, so you don't mess a lot with the muscles. kisses from Brazil

I just found your chanel yesterday. I'm one person who does like medium to full coverage foundation. I did enjoy this video, I don't know why but I never really bought Revlon products so thanks for the review.
Umm I’d love to see some of the people saying negative things about your brows!! People can be so mean! On another note, I really love that Revlon foundation. I use color 150 and the fair shade in the concealer. I’m 48, dry skin but I feel like it’s moisturizing on me. Ulta had many more shades in foundation and concealer than the drugstores. I don’t love the concealer as much as some over ones I have, but it wasn’t horrible for me. I’m going to have to try those eye pallets. Thank you for the review!!!

Becca Wagner hi, I’ve found 150 to be pretty light neutral. I also have the next shade up, which i believe is 200 Nude. This one is a lot more peachy/pink imo, but I sometimes mix a bit in with the 150. I’ll probably have to mix it more in the summer to deepen the 150 just a bit.
If you go to Ulta, they have the complete range of colors unlike most drugstores which only have a few of the colors available, along with testers. Ulta also has the complete line of concealers as well. I hope this helps!
Becca Wagner also I found the shade right below 150, I think it was 120, was very yellow. Hope that helps you.

This is a fun video! I love seeing new products in action. I hope you don't take comments about your eyebrows to heart. I know you said it bothers you too when you watch videos back but to be honest, I love that you don't look "perfect" like some other CZcamsrs. Your face has character and it makes you much more relateable than the beauty gurus with perfectly symmetrical faces, non-hooded eyes, fillers, big white tooth veneers, botoxed foreheads, etc. You keep things natural and still manage to look gorgeous- never change!

I feel like Revlon needs to step up their game a bit, compared to other drugstore brands. But you’re right, the eyeshadow was impressive! And by the way, I never noticed the difference in your eyebrows. Some people have too much time on their hands to be over analyzing others. I think it speaks more to their character than anything about you!
most of us have uneven brows and unsymmetrical faces. ;) I think you are beautiful! Frozen botoxed eyebrows are weird. And many of us appreciate watching more natural beauties and learning to work with what we have! I've looked at those eyeshadows but passed them by because of the size but now I think I'm going to buy them.

I got the player palette and it is ahhhh-mazing! Super vibrant and pigmented but blendable. Also grabbed the candid foundation but not loving it just yet. Gonna have to play with application a bit to see if I can get it to work. I agree, it is dry.

People are so very unhappy with their existence and therefore they project their issues unto others. I never noticed any issues with your eyebrows. These unhappy people just want to nitpick. No one has "perfect" anything
I have the same situation with one eyebrow muscle working it all the time, while I can hardly lift the other eyebrow if I try. It would be a really boring world if everyone looked the same, though. It’s good to embrace being distinct! No one should have to paralyze their muscles with a toxin to satisfy internet critics.

Thanks for doing a video about the mini eyeshadow palettes from Revlon. I first saw them at Walgreens early November for $9.99... No one was talking about them then. It’s nice to see what everyone thinks about them. I think they are great, especially the color payoff, but I hate how each row of color is so tiny width-wise; hard to use a makeup brush because of that.
Ulta carries them online for the same price. Sometimes they do a bogo half off.

I've always liked revlons complexion products foundations and concealers mostly. Well and lipsticks.
I have not had much success with Revlon lately. I used to love their Colorsyay foundation and lipsticks, but now maybe because I'm older the foundation is to heavy on my skin and the lipstick dry out my lips. Thanks for re using the new products , I was curious about th foundation, but I think I'll pass.
I felt the same way...in the past their products seemed to work better for me. I'm not sure if it's because I'm older or if it's because drugstore products have come really far the past few years and they aren't keeping up.
Your curly hair is so freaking gorgeous I can't stand it! Revlon has also been in my bottom 5 drugstore brands for a long time, they just don't wow me. I'm interested to see if you liked anything in this video- okay back to watching now!

Omg! I have that same brow issue myself ! I’m probably the only one who notices it , I think lol! I kinda add a little height on my left arch and pray they’re about even 🤔. I tried Botox and then it was too droopy !! Bottom line is you’re really pretty and people nit pick way too much ... 🌷🌸💕🌸🌷

Hi there, I just subscribed because you are in the same age range as me. I will be 40 this year. It’s hard to come across CZcamsrs that aren’t 20 something. I am still subscribed to some obviously but it’s nice to have relatable CZcamsrs as well worth similar “ageing” issues.

Jen, I just wanted to say that I find myself being the silent brow police. LOL I look at everyone's brows and I always noticed everything. I've never noticed anything strange about your brows. Anyone's to be perfectly matching the opposite one. People are so mean and it's always people without a profile picture LOL hahaha

Actually, your facial features remind me of Hope on Days of Our Lives Soap Opera. She also has one eyebrow that is slightly raised. I haven't watched recently, so I'm talking about 15 years back or so. My eyebrows are kinda this way too, and I'm very expressive when I talk. I think it's totally natural, but if it bothers You, only then would I try botox, if your OK with your natural features, which are pretty, then just accept your inquisitive brow. No one deserves to be criticized on things they can't control, or are born with. People are so rude. They look for ways to bring you down. Don't let em. You are beautiful just the way you are! Sorry to hear that you get so many comments about your eyebrow unevenness, regardless of the commenter's intention in mentioning it. It's so unimportant, and I'll never understand why people feel compelled to do stuff like that. Just about every human being has unevenness and a lack of symmetry in some form, and it's totally natural. Plus, I think it adds character and uniqueness. :)

It never used to be like that and it's actually kinda sad. Back in the day I watched beauty videos because it was fun to watch normal everyday people talk about makeup and it was an escape from all of the perfect models on TV and magazines. But now CZcams has become a lot like those used to be and there is a big focus on perfection.

Okay first, Jen, I’m so sorry people are jerks and saying completely careless things to you about your brows. Honestly, I think it’s a great quirk/visual interest to have! But back to Revlon, the only thing I’ve ever really liked from them is their lip products, but this one sounds like a disaster!! And I know the base products were a miss, but your actual skin in those close-ups looks flawless that even a patchy foundation can’t make it look bad, lol. I am so excited for this video I recently bought a foundation 2in 1 compact from revlon which was quite pricy for the quality and it oxidize on the skin leaving dark residue

I know it is very hard. Us women do have tendencies to only see our "flaws" when we look at ourselves! Ugh I had high hopes for the concealer because a lot of ppl with older skin have liked it. What’s your favorite for mature with dry skin?
For light coverage I like the Maybelline Age Rewind and for more I like the Doll 10 HydraLux Concealer. :)
I have the EXACT same issue as you with the brow muscle. one of my eyebrows is always higher than the other, plus I have a bit uneven muscles in my eyes making one look a little lazy/squinting. I never noticed it on you and I watch you all the time. I get lots of horrible comments on my IG about my eyebrows. someone told me they make them feel sick and they feel sorry for my son (??). I just shamed them by telling them next time they might not get someone old and uncaring like me lol and might make an insecure or bullied teen hurt themselves and they should think about what they're saying more. ps - just got one of these revlon palettes on your recommendation even though I also was a revlon eyeshadow hater. but I love the maybelline city minis and if the new covergirl tru nakeds are like that too I need them!

I had the same result with the foundation. Just was not for me. I ended up returning it.
Oh wow so it's not just me! I've seen some positive reviews but foundation is such a personal preference thing since everyone has different skin issues. 😊❤️
@@JenPhelps For sure! I also have dry skin, and will be 48 next month. I like a medium coverage foundation, I don't have that much to cover, except dark circles;), but this foundation, was just a super no for me:( It is sad, too, because years ago, my very favorite was New Complexion. I used for years! I was highly bummed when it was discontinued.
Thanks for saying too much concealer is aging - I’m 49 and had NO idea how much it’s true until I got older. I don’t even bother watching 20-30 year old reviews of concealer because they paint it on BEFORE they know how pigmented it is. Remind me what your favorite concealer is? I just took back Too Faced Sculpting because I needed 3 layers to cover circles and that got cakey.
Not really crazy about the narrowness of the pans on the eyeshadow. That doesn't seem well thought out. I haven't tried any of these for that reason but your review may make me do it anyway!
