Does anyone else get mad when people on TikTok all of a sudden "discover" a product that we've known about forever? I see them all talking about the Glass Shine lipsticks and feel like they've been living under a rock.
Lol, sometimes! I saw a girl the other day talking about applying foundation with her hands and she said, "I know this is gross (?) but it makes my foundation blend in sooo much better than a brush or sponge!". First of all...why is it gross? Second of all, I've been using my hands since the late 80's when we didn't have brushes or sponges, LOL.
Yes! Please do more videos on the "forgotten makeup." Love hearing about all the stuff that's getting overlooked because influencers get paid/compensated by all the big names.
Quite right. But, a lot of people really believe that expensive products are always better. It's the power of advertising and of big marketing budgets. (The La Mer Creme cultists make me the craziest!)

I'm not saying it doesn't work- I dunno from what I hear it does but c'mon. There are plenty of dupes for the formula on Amazon, like the one made by Timeless.

Revlon is SUPER underrated. I love the idea of using a deeper concealer for a contour wand. You could probably also do this with the Maybelline Age Perfect concealer too!
I flipping LOVE Revlon. I have so many Super Lustrous lipsticks that I've bought repeatedly over the years. I hope their situation improves! That's one cosmetic company I'd actually be really upset to see go under.
Superlustrous set the standard more than 60 years ago. Everyone else is catching up. (And if people have only tried the Glass Shine formula, they haven't tried the best formula. Those will disappear, soon enough; the classic ones will remain.)
Yes I used to have quite the Revlon lipstick collection, lol. Also Maybelline Great Lash is one mascara that has stood the test of time & I still buy to this day. I remember my Mom using it when I was growing up. Maybelline & Revlon are my go tos, then CG. Not big on L'oreal though. Don't know why but I've never really got into them. And it's not even that I don't use some high-end. I just don't see the need to change something that's always worked for me.

FYI, L'Oreal owns Lancome, and some of the L'Oreal products are dupes, or near dupes, of Lancome products. My favorite L'Oreal product is the True Match blush. I also have the True Match powder, and it's decent. Not fantastic to the point where I'd rave about it, but it's OK on my very dry skin. I've never tried the True Match foundation, but I intend to once I use up other products I have. They used to have some good foundations for dry skin, but they've discontinued them and brought out new products with alcohol and/or fragrance (dealbreakers for me.) The exception is the Age Perfect balm, which I also intend to try.
Love Revlon nail & lip. I used to get so excited to go to the drug store to see what new shades were on display. They always had matching nail & lip lines. That was such an exciting thing for me as a teenager & even as a young woman.
I’ve been wearing Revlons Rum Raisin since high school! And, I’m 50!! I’m not sure if it was that same formula, but it’s always been one of my favorite lip shades! I love that Revlon kept so many of their old shade names over the years!
Yes! They have Rum Raisin in the regular lipstick formula but the one that's going viral is the Glass Shine formula and that's the one I can't find. 😥 It's more sheer than the regular one.
Some of their shades date back to the 1950's. Cherries in the Snow and Fire and Ice are a couple. I'm cool toned, so Cherries is better for me. Their nail polish is great too.
This video reminds me of my mom. I am 62 in a week. We bonded over a lipstick. It was a treat, We were very poor income but my mom was so classy with black hair and brown eyes. Her blond green eyed daughter me wore different shades. I miss my mom and love Revlon. RIP momma. Thank you Jen. Love everything her and honestly love all of it. Very good quality..

I dunno why but I haven't had any luck with that foundation. I tried it with primer and without and it just didn't sit well on my skin, especially my nose. I really wish I was in love with it like everyone else seems to be.
Love it and I admit I was a high end foundation girl . But I was because when I got married my husband took me to Nordstrom to buy my first high end foundation. I only knew drug store . He had a massive heart attack and died so I thought high end was better. It was in my head I did love Dior air flash (rip) . But I started watching your channel so thanks

My friend and I used to do the makeup for our friends and family photo shoots and senior pictures when we were in high school! We got our hands on Estee Lauder, Clinique and Revlon and those were out go to products! Loreal Voluminous was the hottest mascara at the time!
I love Revlon products, especially their super lustrous creme lipsticks. I think it's so fun that they still sell some of their vintage shades (cherries in the snow, fire and ice, love that red, etc)!

Revlon lipsticks are my absolute favorite product from them! Their lipsticks last so well on me, and even as they wear off, they do so gradually. The highlighter looks so good! It's nice seeing Revlon get some love. When 90s-esque lipsticks shades were being coveted, I was irritated that attention wasn't directed to the actual shades used during the 90s, particularly the Revlons. It looks like that problem has been taken care of. Imagine the frenzy that would occur if they brought back the lip butters and balm stains.
I really appreciate these videos! I'm a stay at home mom now and don't have a ton of extra money to buy new makeup, so these reminders and new discoveries are so helpful when I want to treat myself. I love the revlon super lustrous lipstick! For a gorgeous winter red lip I’ve been pairing the color stay lip liner in raisin with cherries in the snow lipstick. Such a pretty gradient.
Another Revlon overlooked product is their ColorStay cream eyeshadows. They are perfect for the 'one & done' look that's quick and easy. They blend beautifully on the lids and can be sheered out or layered for more pigment, and they stay all day without creasing or fading. I like them better than the new elf cream pot eyeshadows as they are easier to work with and don't dry down as fast as elf so you have more working time. 🥰
I’m 45 and have worn Colorstay foundation for combo / oily since high school. There has never been a time where this was not in my collection and have tried many others over the years but always come back to this. I’m always shocked at how good it is compared to high end formulas!
I remember my mom getting the Revlon lipsticks when I was a little kid. Lipstick was the only makeup she wore. The glass shines are so nice. Some of their eyeshadows are decent too.

I have Rum Raisin! I got it maybe like 8 months ago. Had no idea about it going viral or anything. But it is gorgeous. I love the formula. And I love it just as much as my Dior lipsticks that have a similar formula tbh ♡ 💋
I LOVE those Revlon glass shine lipsticks and the Rum Raisin shade is my favorite shade. I'm hoping that since they have gone viral recently, Revlon will bring them back. I noticed a couple of months ago that they were becoming super hard to find. I was lucky enough to be able to snag a couple of the Rum Raisin shade on Amazon from a 3rd party seller before they completely sold out. If I ever owned a makeup brand, I would always publicly announce whenever I planned on discontinuing a product so that people would have an opportunity to stock up. I don't understand why more cosmetics companies don't do this. They typically just disappear certain products without ever saying a word, and when you need to buy them again, they are gone. So unfair.
I miss the Revlon foundation that was in a jar. I can't remember the name but I'm pretty sure it was in the color stay line. It was such a beautiful, skin like foundation that give really good coverage.
10:40 I own many super lustrous lipstick in four finishes: creme, pearl, matte, sheer. All of them are gorgeous and the matte is not drying at all. I fell in love with Revlon when I discovered their Colorstay line 😍 they're the OG of transfer proof makeup. There weren't any eyeshadow primers back then, and that concealer was the only one that prevented my eyeliner/eyeshadow from transfering and creasing. The Colorstay creme eye shadows, and the liquid pen eyeliner, and the pencils for eyes and lips OMG!! 🤩 and the foundation, and the lipsticks and... 😂😂
I love the Revlon so fierce eyeshadow quads! Some of the eyeshadows are gorgeous as a face highlight so I have no doubts they make nice highlighters. I only wish they’d make more colors.
Hi Jen - THANK YOU for this video. I love the way you understand how important Revlon is among the giants and leaders of the makeup world. I too and doing my share, by continuing to discover, buy and use their products. Their matte lipsticks are so beautiful, and as you've pointed out, the blushes are classic beauties. Revlon has always had great foundations, and I have a cream makeup with concealer in my collection right now. Their lip pencils are also stand outs. I go all the way back to the late 70s, when I worked in cosmetics in major department stores, and sold a lot of all sorts of Revlon products and among the women who worked with me, Revlon was always a favorite brand to use for their own use, no matter what line they worked for. I am a diehard Estee Lauder fan, and I was hoping EL would purchase their old rival Revlon so they could have a major footprint in drugstores.

I hit the jackpot on the shine lipsticks at rite aid today. They had every color and they were on clearance for $2.74. I bought 9 of them. I got 2 rum raisin. I’m so happy.
Thanks for letting us know what the lipsticks smell like. I don't own any of Revlon's lipsticks because back in the 90's when I was a kid, playing with my teenage sisters makeup, I remember them having really strong floral sent mixed with crayon🌸🖍😖 I also prefer a vanilla sent to lipstick! 🍪🧁

It holds such a special place in my heart as it was my Momma’s favorite shade❤️🥰I have such fond memories of searching for it in Walmart in the very bottom rows of our store for my Mom❤She recently passed in November 😢Gosh I miss her so very much💔

Rum Raisin!? Lol, that shade has been around forever. I used to wear it all the time to work in the 90s! Revlon is one brand I have always loved. They used to have the Powderliners that I loved that is now discontinued. I still have my Brown Suede which I used until it is about a 1" nub that can no longer go into the sharpener. I have been on the lookout for something similar for years & never found an eyeliner that I love like I loved that one. Maybelline & Revlon have many staple products.

Hi Jen love your revlon review. I picked up the baked highlighter at Wal-Mart the other day and decided to try a little just on the center of my lids. At 74, I don't need glitter or anything too obvious LOL. It gave my lids a soft, just right satin glimmer. For me it doubles as a eyeshadow! Donna

As a little girl Revlon had counters and make up artists in departments stores. They always seemed to be so classy and glamorous. I was SO fascinated. Decades later I worked for Estee Lauder, Clinique and Lancome.
I really like Revlon products. I don’t have some of the ones you showed in the video ( which was GREAT by the way) but I would like to try some out, especially the concealer. I have dry skin and under eyes. If I can find a concealer I don’t have to set that would be fantastic! One of my very favorite Revlon products is their Revlon colorstay pressed powder. It’s definitely a repurchase every time. I’m very fair so I have to get translucent and I use it to set my whole face. Works beautifully. Thank you again for this video. I’d love to see more like this 😊 oh! And I’m 50 yrs old so back in the day yup all we had were our fingers to apply all of our makeup. I still use my fingers a lot. Great video! I love Revlon. I only started using their products in the last year and I am so surprised from the quality! Revlon Colorstay is my current "bullet proof" foundation. It's so good! Yay, my favorite drugstore lipstick, the Super Lustrous Lipstick! Also, I used to use the Revlon blush; I think I stopped using it because Walmart was constantly out of stock for my color (Tickled Pink.) So I switched to the L'Oreal True Match blush which was generally in stock in my color (Baby Blossom.)

I love the revlon super lustrous lipstick! For a gorgeous winter red lip I’ve been pairing the color stay lip liner in raisin with cherries in the snow lipstick. Such a pretty gradient.
Another Revlon overlooked product is their ColorStay cream eyeshadows. They are perfect for the 'one & done' look that's quick and easy. They blend beautifully on the lids and can be sheered out or layered for more pigment, and they stay all day without creasing or fading. I like them better than the new elf cream pot eyeshadows as they are easier to work with and don't dry down as fast as elf so you have more working time. 🥰

The Illuminance quads are great as well. 4 cream shadows for under $7 (at least where I live). Great colors and easy to use.
I’m 45 and have worn Colorstay foundation for combo / oily since high school. There has never been a time where this was not in my collection and have tried many others over the years but always come back to this. I’m always shocked at how good it is compared to high end formulas!
I remember my mom getting the Revlon lipsticks when I was a little kid. Lipstick was the only makeup she wore. The glass shines are so nice. Some of their eyeshadows are decent too.

I have Rum Raisin! I got it maybe like 8 months ago. Had no idea about it going viral or anything. But it is gorgeous. I love the formula. And I love it just as much as my Dior lipsticks that have a similar formula tbh ♡ 💋
I love their skin brightening and evening primer, lipsticks, and blush sticks. Such an underrated brand with great quality.
I LOVE those Revlon glass shine lipsticks and the Rum Raisin shade is my favorite shade. I'm hoping that since they have gone viral recently, Revlon will bring them back. I noticed a couple of months ago that they were becoming super hard to find. I was lucky enough to be able to snag a couple of the Rum Raisin shade on Amazon from a 3rd party seller before they completely sold out. If I ever owned a makeup brand, I would always publicly announce whenever I planned on discontinuing a product so that people would have an opportunity to stock up. I don't understand why more cosmetics companies don't do this. They typically just disappear certain products without ever saying a word, and when you need to buy them again, they are gone. So unfair.
I miss the Revlon foundation that was in a jar. I can't remember the name but I'm pretty sure it was in the color stay line. It was such a beautiful, skin like foundation that give really good coverage.

10:40 I own many super lustrous lipstick in four finishes: creme, pearl, matte, sheer. All of them are gorgeous and the matte is not drying at all. I fell in love with Revlon when I discovered their Colorstay line 😍 they're the OG of transfer proof makeup. There weren't any eyeshadow primers back then, and that concealer was the only one that prevented my eyeliner/eyeshadow from transfering and creasing. The Colorstay creme eye shadows, and the liquid pen eyeliner, and the pencils for eyes and lips OMG!! 🤩 and the foundation, and the lipsticks and... 😂😂
I love the Revlon so fierce eyeshadow quads! Some of the eyeshadows are gorgeous as a face highlight so I have no doubts they make nice highlighters. I only wish they’d make more colors.

Hi Jen - THANK YOU for this video. I love the way you understand how important Revlon is among the giants and leaders of the makeup world. I too and doing my share, by continuing to discover, buy and use their products. Their matte lipsticks are so beautiful, and as you've pointed out, the blushes are classic beauties. Revlon has always had great foundations, and I have a cream makeup with concealer in my collection right now. Their lip pencils are also stand outs. I go all the way back to the late 70s, when I worked in cosmetics in major department stores, and sold a lot of all sorts of Revlon products and among the women who worked with me, Revlon was always a favorite brand to use for their own use, no matter what line they worked for. I am a diehard Estee Lauder fan, and I was hoping EL would purchase their old rival Revlon so they could have a major footprint in drugstores.

Rum Raisin!? Lol, that shade has been around forever. I used to wear it all the time to work in the 90s! Revlon is one brand I have always loved. They used to have the Powderliners that I loved that is now discontinued. I still have my Brown Suede which I used until it is about a 1" nub that can no longer go into the sharpener. I have been on the lookout for something similar for years & never found an eyeliner that I love like I loved that one. Maybelline & Revlon have many staple products.
The color you are wearing here is stunning on you. It looks great with the lipstick you are wearing here too. It really brightens your skin and makes your eyes pop.
Skin lights is their best line hands down. It’s stunning. And Revlon often has coupons and rebates too!

It's weird because the name would suggest something peachy but it's much more of a deep rose color.

As a little girl Revlon had counters and make up artists in departments stores. They always seemed to be so classy and glamorous. I was SO fascinated. Decades later I worked for Estee Lauder, Clinique and Lancome.
I really like Revlon products. I don’t have some of the ones you showed in the video ( which was GREAT by the way) but I would like to try some out, especially the concealer. I have dry skin and under eyes. If I can find a concealer I don’t have to set that would be fantastic! One of my very favorite Revlon products is their Revlon colorstay pressed powder. It’s definitely a repurchase every time. I’m very fair so I have to get translucent and I use it to set my whole face. Works beautifully. Thank you again for this video. I’d love to see more like this 😊 oh! And I’m 50 yrs old so back in the day yup all we had were our fingers to apply all of our makeup. I still use my fingers a lot. I'm so glad that drug store make-up has really gotten better. (That said, I don't understand the appeal of Maybelline Great Lash mascara. It always flakes off my eye lashes.) Thank you for your excellent reviews.
I don't get the hype either. Great Lash has always had problems smudging and flaking.

Great video! I love Revlon. I only started using their products in the last year and I am so surprised from the quality! Revlon Colorstay is my current "bullet proof" foundation. It's so good! Yay, my favorite drugstore lipstick, the Super Lustrous Lipstick! Also, I used to use the Revlon blush; I think I stopped using it because Walmart was constantly out of stock for my color (Tickled Pink.) So I switched to the L'Oreal True Match blush which was generally in stock in my color (Baby Blossom.)
