    Well said! I think it is nauseating the amount of adulation Ferguson gets when someone like Bob Paisley who won so many trophies in such a short period of time does not get the recognition he deserves. No silly mind games, no shouting his gob off at the media and blaming the ref when his team loses.. That is how a manger should conduct himself Fergie!

      Also played in a far more tough league imo. In the 90’s When fergie was with Utd, the league was weak let’s be honest. Everton and Liverpool had fallen away. Newcastle might challenge the odd time. The paradox being that because of the commercial structure winning the so called new PL would generate the greatest windfall for any winner compared to winners of the past. United benefitted from that. When money came in from Chelsea and arsenal that’s when they had problems. Fergie was a great managers obviously but to say others can’t even touch him is tosh

      you must be glad you got that off your chest... i'll tell ya what is nauseating is the likes of you going around telling us what pisses you off...no one gives phuck about what you think. you should write to fergi and express your feelings in person and offer your advice to him.... ya ponce ya

      Dave Felmer
      Cant compare them like that, Fergie was manager of MU for 27 year and Paisley for 9 years!! Paisley won 20 trophies in only 9 year! 3 CL in 9 years!!! Fergie couldnt do it in 3 decades!! So im not joking!! ;)

    • @davefelmer5832
      @davefelmer5832 Před 10 lety

      Yes you can and everyone does. That's why SAF is rated number 1 by any table, documentary and TV show. Idiot. SAF won 29 more trophies and more of EVERY individual honour except for 1 European Cup less which was because Paisley had it far easier in Europe. He only had to win 2 games to qualify for the semi finals whereas SAF had to win 10! Plus the level of teams is better now. SAF is better by absolute miles.

      Why do mancs watch videos abt greatest manager of all time, Bob Paisley?? Are you that obsessed with Liverpool? Its sooo easy to call someone a idiot on the internet, but its so hard to do it face to face, trust me, you wouldnt even dare!! Dont give a shit how CL looked back then, Paisley won it 3 times in 9 years, thats all what counts!! If Paisley was manager for much longer God knows how many trphies he would won!!

    • @CHRISDABAHIA
      @CHRISDABAHIA Před 10 lety +2

      Dave Felmer Simple response to you about Fergie's being the 'greatest manager ever': he never, ever managed outside Britain. Never left his comfort zone i.e. the style of football that he grew up with, and was most comfortable with. Never tested himself in an environment where he couldn't speak the language, either. Never, ever dominated Europe - two European Cups in 27 years? Pitiful, considering he helped M.U. to qualify how many times? (Sir) Bob - three in nine years. Doesn't matter what the format, he WON it three times. That's the only thing that counts.

    As a Liverpool fan I like Brian Clough he was a funny man and was the Jose Mourinho in the 70s and 90s as manager doing his mind games against players and other manager's it's a shame he wasn't offer the Liverpool job because I think he would be a great manager for us at least we got King Kenny instead.

      What truth. You do realise it has been proven that David Duckenfield (the Cheif of Police at that game) and the whole South Yorkshire Police incompetence were responsible for that disaster. Do some bloody research first before making such ignorant statements.

    I get bored of the greatest manager debates. Too many try to pick out flaws and make literal comparisons. What should a manager be judged on? Trophies? Longevity? Tactical innovations? Personality? Their legacy? The players/managers they influence? There are different managers who can be the greatest, interchangeable based on the criteria we choose to use.
    Just appreciate this mans achievements on it's own merits

    People do not understand how good he was. He was the one that took Liverpool to new heights. Especially winning in Europe. Took the foundation that Bill Shankly made built a mansion making Liverpool the team of the mid 70's and 80's. His best signings were getting Graham Souness, Alan Hansen, and Kenny Daglish in 1978.

      Not really. Paisley inherited a ready made quality squad with Kevin Keegan from Bill Shankly. In saying that he did very much make make it a lot better and added many great additions including Dalglish, Souness and Ian Rush. I highly suggest you guys read what I am reading atm. Its called Quiet Genuis/ Bob Paisley Britain's Greatest Manager. Its a really good book.

    Just for the sake of fairness Fergie built United back up from a low point in the clubs history, whereas Shankly had already laid solid foundations for Paisley to build upon. I'm a United fan but I rate Paisley and Fergie as equals. Both men are legends of the game. Also just as a side note, Rodgers is doing to Liverpool what Fergie did to United when he took over. He is bringing back that winning mentality, depth and quality to your squad. Looking forward to the L'pool vs United games already.
