- Explore the new tunnels completed in downtown Los Angeles to connect the light rail lines of Los Angeles, stopping at Little Tokyo, Historic Broadway, and Grand Sav/Arts District along the way. Thanks for watching as always!
I would like to visit these 3 new stations and see what it's like at street-level. A fun day of exploring LA.
Absolutely! I love hanging around in LA
On September 9th 2023 LA Metro is having a special event so the public can get to know the Little Tokyo Arts District station and the surrounding neighborhood. There is more information on their website.
I miss the old gold line😢
It will always be remembered in history 😢
beautiful day for a ride.
Absolutely! I’ve been pretty lucky with the weather
Cool video
Thank you!!
Do you like the La metro?
I have mixed feelings, it takes forever to get places and there is serious cleanliness and homeless issues still. Was actually filming a ridethrough of the full A Line which I had to scrap because of people blasting music and homeless everywhere.
Yes I Do
How do you pay for the ticket ?
I like to take the train some day
On the first days of the opening of the Regional Connector, all Metro busses and trains we're all free for the grand opening. As of now, you'll need a TAP card which can be simply bought at any train stations that have a TAP vending machine.
We personally used Metrolink to get into Los Angeles on the 91/ Perris Valley Line, which includes LA Metro so we just used our commuter rail ticket. Otherwise you would need to utilize tap cards.
Did you see power goes out at 7th/metro Center on Friday?
I wasn't there but that sounds crazy! Hope everything was alright.
What did he saying 2:07 ?
He is wishing everyone a happy 4th of July! (as that was when this was filmed)
The billions in investment in trains in the LA area seems largely a waste of money. Look how empty the train is. Given how spread out LA is and car dependent few are going to ride it other than the poor.
Just for some context a reason why it could be empty is its a 3-car set, pretty early in the morning, every 5 minutes. It's not every 5 anymore and ive been on recently, the 2-car trains are always standing room only :)
They could fix it by following Seattles lead (Seattle actually has problems because it's light rail is getting too full)
These people need to take their masks off and get over it.
People have their own preferences don't worry. Just let them do as they wish
Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.
I hate mask
I'm glad it's not required on transit anymore 😅
It was uncomfortable but necessary during those hard times.
